16/05/2026: Pleasant welcome. Above all, remember not to park in the car park opposite, even just to drop off your luggage, because in less than 10 minutes we got a parking ticket; the hotel warned us about this as soon as we arrived.

04/07/2026: Pleasant welcome, spacious and sunny terrace. The service is very good. The portions are far too small, not generous at all! The children's menu is ridiculous; my 6-year-old daughter left hungry...be more generous!

29/05/2026: ★★★★★ A wonderful discovery on the Cabourg promenade. We booked somewhat by chance after spotting this magnificent hotel while strolling along the beach. The location is superb, the restaurant is elegant, peaceful, and offers a beautiful sea view. There was a slight mix-up upon arrival: I had noticed the burgers displayed at the entrance and had come with the intention of trying one. I later discovered that they are only available at the bistro for lunch, while in the evening the restaurant operates as a fine dining establishment. A simpler and more welcoming explanation would undoubtedly have avoided this misunderstanding. We ultimately chose the €95 Balbec Menu and we weren't disappointed. Special mention to the staff who readily accommodated my dietary requirements: I don't eat veal or other young animals, and an alternative was offered with great professionalism. The dishes were generally excellent. I found the mackerel appetizer a little unusual in texture, but my husband thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything else was remarkable: beautiful presentation, precise cooking, and balanced flavors. The beef was particularly well-done, tender, and flavorful. We also greatly enjoyed the organic cider on the menu and the champagne by the glass. The service deserves special mention. The entire team was attentive and professional, with a special mention for a young Guinean waiter who was extremely friendly, efficient, and considerate, and who greatly contributed to the quality of our evening. The only real drawback: during our visit, which was very hot, the dining room was quite warm. However, the staff did their best to compensate, notably by regularly replenishing the ice buckets and remaining very attentive to the comfort of the guests. In the end, a wonderful experience in a magnificent setting, with refined cuisine, excellent service, and a peaceful atmosphere. We will gladly return.

16/05/2026: The very best in the region. I've never tasted more original cuisine. The portions aren't huge, but the combination of flavors in each dish is exceptional. It's expensive, certainly, but well worth it. And the wine list is equally impressive.

20/05/2026: Tables set up in the casino entrance. Completely pointless. It feels like being in a snack bar in the lobby of a shopping mall, with absolutely no charm. We won't be going back in its current state. It's a shame, we used to go to Kaz often and regularly came to gamble.

16/05/2026: Very small, a bit disappointing. We were hoping for a quiet, romantic meal in a small restaurant, but it felt more like a cafeteria, right in the casino entrance – not very welcoming. The place is brand new but a bit empty... what a shame! Otherwise, the service was quite fast and the staff were friendly.

10/11/2025: Mixed experience: you have to order at the counter before sitting down. So you end up reading the menu standing up to make your choice... The galettes and crêpes were okay, nothing special. One was badly burnt on the bottom. Touristy prices. In short, not great value for money.

27/04/2026: My daughter-in-law gave a gift certificate for a one-night stay and breakfast to a couple of friends last weekend. Unfortunately, her friend's husband had a health issue and couldn't make it. She requested (with proof of sick leave) a postponement or a discount on another service, but they refused, and she lost over €400. It's shameful for an establishment that claims to be welcoming... absolutely no empathy; all they care about is money. I do not recommend this establishment.

04/07/2026: Very disappointing. The Sex on the Beach cocktails seemed to contain no alcohol at all, and the mojitos had no mint, cane sugar, or lemonade: it's hard to call them real mojitos. Given the prices, you'd expect properly made cocktails. The quality and adherence to the recipes clearly need improvement. I don't recommend it.

12/05/2026: The service was abysmal! I don't know where the young waitress was trained, but she couldn't clear a table completely, made empty trips, and wasn't even smiling; she felt like she was being bothered. She also didn't pay attention to anything, and there was a lack of communication with the older woman (who wasn't necessarily any better...). The mussels in cream sauce were terrible—a strange texture and very bland. The main course was overcooked and not tender. We certainly won't be returning or recommending this place. For the price, go eat at the pier; there's nothing to complain about there.

06/07/2026: There were two of us eating there, and I honestly recommend this restaurant. The quality of the food is excellent. The restaurant is very clean, and the servers and the owner are very friendly. The dishes were absolutely delicious. 😋 I highly recommend this restaurant; it's also not far from the beach. 05/07/2026: We came for lunch twice. We received a very warm welcome from our waitress, Adeline. A radiant, dynamic, and friendly woman (with a great sense of humor that made the customers laugh). The mussels and fries with Roquefort and Camembert were delicious. The lamb chops were cooked to a perfect pink and were flavorful. The fresh, seasonal fruit salad was very refreshing. The €30 set menu offers good value for money. The restaurant's decor is unique. The counter and bar, shaped like the stern of a boat, are ideal in this nautical setting. We will definitely be back!
