25/07/2026: After days of eating French food, we were very eager to try the cuisine at this Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant. Upon arrival, the smell of cooking and frying permeated the room and our clothes; we needed to air it out! After ordering, we moved on to the appetizers, and it was a complete disappointment. The Banh Cuon had an overly thick and tough wrapper, clearly from being microwaved. And what about the spring rolls? They used a single shrimp left over from a previous batch, cut in half, and the nuoc mam sauce was tasteless. Then came the main courses, including the Saigon-style soup (Hu Tieu), where the waitress dipped her fingers into the bowl! To finish, a small insect swimming in the broth. Be careful with the cooking of your items, such as the spring rolls (burnt) or the rice noodles in the soup (mushy). Despite a reasonable bill, the food was far from average. Vietnamese cuisine suitable for the provinces, but not for professionals. Words from a Chef on a weekend!

17/07/2026: A lovely crêperie and pizzeria near the banks of the Orne River. We came with our grandchildren before going to the cinema. We ate buckwheat galettes and pizzas, all of which were really delicious and generously portioned. The service provided by the manager was very friendly, and the terrace, shaded by parasols, guaranteed us a pleasant lunch. We left very happy! 😌

02/09/2026: A delight from start to finish! The dishes are truly excellent, prepared with care and bursting with flavor. Special mention goes to the tripe, which was absolutely delicious (even for the most hesitant, you can order it without a second thought!). A big thank you also to the waitress, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and truly listened to our every need throughout the meal. A top-notch restaurant; we'll be back very soon!

31/07/2026: An excellent place that I highly recommend! They serve delicious, fresh, and well-prepared food at a great price. For under €20 per person, it's hard to find better. The service is also top-notch: the staff is always smiling, kind, welcoming, and attentive, which makes the meal even more enjoyable. My only slight "complaint" 😄: they just need a good homemade mashed potato on the menu! With dishes of this quality, it would be a huge hit. 😉

22/07/2026: A discreet bakery with meticulous presentation, offering a wide variety of top-quality breads that are both flavorful and crusty. You'll also appreciate the pastries, melt-in-your-mouth and perfectly golden (the apple turnover is a must-try), as well as the delicious cakes and pastries. 21/07/2026: I'm a craftsman and I eat a lot in the bakeries of Caen and the surrounding area. Without hesitation, the best ham, butter, and cheese sandwich in Caen is the Pepito; it's incredible, especially when you pick it up right when they open, between 7 and 8 am. The pistachio flan is really good too; the pastry had a slight hint of salt. I also tried a caramel/vanilla entremet which was excellent.

02/08/2026: We were craving something sweet, we walked past this lovely shop and what a treat! The Nutella waffles were excellent, not to mention the crispy churros – we thoroughly enjoyed them! I highly recommend it!

29/06/2026: Excellent value for money at Buquet's, near the iconic Vaugueux district. Homemade cuisine using ultra-fresh ingredients. Generous portions, beautifully presented, both simple (the surf and turf salad is wonderful!) and always with a thoughtful personal touch. The 2 or 3 course set menu is unbeatable. It's always delicious! And the service is excellent too! It's simple: once you're in Caen, you won't want to go anywhere else!

19/09/2026: The boss sulks when you talk to him and can't control his employees; he's supposed to keep them on a tight leash, especially since the little one is particularly restless and difficult to manage (there have already been two reminders by email without any response). The contact email is no longer visible online but still exists. Instagram is easier for blocking when a DM reminding him of the rules appears. The square and the street are places to avoid. That's where they're all concentrated. It's so huge you think it can't possibly be that many in one place. 🤣 I would recommend Rue Saint Pierre and Rue Écuyère instead.

24/05/2026: A very pleasant restaurant. We arrived at 10 pm as a group of four, the only customers at the time, and we received a very warm welcome! Impeccable service, generous portions, homemade fries, and good wines. I highly recommend it!

10/04/2026: Very welcoming, near the port. Good fondue and friendly staff. Good value for money.

04/09/2026: The menu didn't match the order! Zero friendliness, no ticket at the kiosk, we noted the number and told them. When we received our order, we realized that the free gift in our €0.50 menu wasn't included. They wouldn't listen because we didn't have the ticket and didn't have time to check on their computer because they were busy with other customers! Disappointed, I definitely don't recommend this establishment!

31/08/2026: The fries weren't cooked even though we waited 20 minutes! Half the items were missing, no dip for example! No friendliness whatsoever! I don't recommend it; I'd rather go to Mondeville!

A must-see for every tourist! 🐪❤️ My camels also had a lot of fun here, especially the special camel menu 🐪🍽️, which made them even happier. 😂 The staff was very polite and helpful 🙌. Ordering is also very easy thanks to the terminal. 📱✨ I love this taco! 🌮❤️ My camel loves it just as much... but later my camel ate my taco. 🐪😭😂 Absolutely 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🔥

02/08/2026: I came today, but it's not the first time this person has been at reception. Sorry to say, but she's really unpleasant. She gives the impression that she's annoyed to come to work. I find it a real shame because the tacos are always good and everything is done properly; it's just the reception and everything that goes with it that really puts you off.
