07/08/2026: On the advice of a friend, with whom I'd shared my disappointment at not finding satisfactory whole bean coffee after receiving a bean-to-cup espresso machine as a gift, I went to the Coffea shop in downtown Caen. The welcome: ten out of ten, the attentiveness: fifteen out of ten, and the advice: 20 out of 10. It became my go-to place for coffee, and I finally found my perfect cup. And every time I visit, the experience is the same: perfect.

28/05/2026: A warm and welcoming atmosphere. Excellent coffee, impeccable service, and a lovely shop. Don't hesitate to stop by Coffea on Rue St. Pierre, whether you're there to enjoy a coffee or make a purchase. A great place to remember.

12/09/2026: Disappointed with our visit. The beer was flat and the waitress was particularly unpleasant when we asked for a replacement. Their customer service skills clearly need improvement.

14/07/2026: My little neighborhood bar is super friendly! The owner is great at facilitating conversations between customers, which is exactly what I look for in the bar down the street. To some of the residents who (well, only one, it seems) complain about living near a bar that's noisy until 10 PM in the summer, my advice is: move to a different neighborhood? That's why they call it the "city center." I think that's even the idea! Anyway, for me, it's a really pleasant place!

16/06/2026: Overall, it's a good little neighborhood restaurant. In my opinion, however, it lacks background music and a bit of explanation about the dishes when served (for example, the small pot served with the spiced vegetarian couscous). On the other hand, I absolutely loved the crème brûlée, which was excellent.

10/09/2026: We came to eat last night with a group of friends. The welcome was acceptable. We were served by waiters who were a bit overly familiar, especially in this type of establishment. A nice menu, but exorbitant prices (€6 for two eggs! ... Of course, I'm not even mentioning the rest, which is outrageously expensive.) However, the problem isn't so much the price, but the quality that should accompany it. (My menu: bone marrow, steak tartare, and apple waffles) The price of the meal included a bottle of wine to share between six of us. €43 per person, so at that price, it has to be top-notch! For my part, the bone marrow was uninteresting, completely unseasoned, and undercooked. The beef tartare was far from what one would expect; the meat was seasoned without respecting the basics, it was white and greasy (beef tartare should be red and bloody). There was no accompanying sauce; the waiter offered us aioli and a cognac sauce... I don't see the connection. I'm not even mentioning the side dishes: a few salad leaves and a small handful of undercooked, uninteresting Salardaise potatoes. I'm raising the rating for the dessert, an exorbitant €10, but acceptable. (I won't even mention the four scoops and whipped cream my tablemate ordered for €10.) This restaurant has lost its former glory. It used to be a small bistro by the port, renowned for its atmosphere and food. It's a new location, just a few years ago. Success and expansion have led to decline. P.S.: I rarely leave reviews, but I had a rough night, and besides struggling to digest the bill, I didn't digest the meal either.

24/07/2026: I've never been disappointed and I come regularly. Whether it's the welcome, the staff, the food, or the events they organize, this bar is worth a visit! The waitress is very friendly and communicative, a true bartender, the kind you rarely find. The owner is approachable and very kind! I highly recommend it.

02/05/2026: A wonderful discovery where the term "Agora" is perfectly apt. Indeed. A quick reminder, if needed: in ancient Greece, the Agora referred to a gathering of citizens and the place where it took place. Well, here you are. All sorts of people mingle here in a joyful and friendly atmosphere. The owner, Mika, with his warm and jovial sense of humor, immediately puts you at ease. In fact, it feels like going for a drink at the home of kind friends. The atmosphere is so welcoming. Everyone feels at home, even if you come alone. People talk to each other simply, with joy and respect. In short: The Place To Be! The only slight drawback is that it might not be wheelchair accessible except on the terrace, but perhaps they have a ramp; I didn't ask. In any case, I enjoyed a delicious coffee and had a very pleasant time. Try it, and you'll love it! 06/04/2026: Honestly… this bar-tabac isn't just a place, it's a spiritual experience. You walk in, and you feel like your life is better just by pushing open the door. Even your overdraft hesitates to stay. The atmosphere? So clean you almost want to say hello to the walls. And the owner… well, he's not just a manager, he's a concept. The guy serves you a coffee, and you feel like he's been coaching you for 10 years. He looks at you, he already knows what you want. Before you've even spoken, he's already prepared your pack, your half-pint, and probably sorted out your personal problems. I swear, if all businesses were like this, there wouldn't be any more bad moods in France. Even people who say, "I don't like bars-tabacs"… they come here… and they get an emotional subscription. In short, if you don't go, it means you've voluntarily decided to miss out on happiness. And that, in itself, is a courageous decision.
