15/09/2026: Excellent crêperie! The staff were very helpful and friendly. They took great care of our little Maltese dog. Everything looked delicious! The opening hours are great because the crêperie is open Sunday evenings (many crêperies are closed on Sundays). We'll definitely be back!

11/08/2026: We had a delicious meal last Sunday. As usual, we asked beforehand how it works. First of all, you are supposed to get your own bread from the baker. Then you go and look around and discuss what you want with the fishmongers. The prices are listed in kg, so you can quickly calculate the cost. We had 12 oysters for 21 euros. Try getting that in the Netherlands. At least 3.50 euros apiece. Delicious! The other seafood is so fresh and tasty that it is definitely worth the money. When you look at the restaurants in the area around Chez Allain, the prices there are much higher. In short, we had a delicious lunch. By the way, the glasses of wine they serve are 15cl for 7 euros; at the average restaurant, this is 7 euros for 10cl. If you happen to be in the area on Sunday, go over to the market first and then have lunch at Chez Allain or one of its neighbors.

01/08/2026: Excellent!!! Top-notch staff. To improve the seafood platter eaten on-site, a few slices of bread with butter would be perfect! Otherwise, don't change a thing, the products are excellent.

22/08/2026: Ah, Cathy! What wonderful moments you gave us over the years! A fantastic place where we felt welcomed like family and where we enjoyed delicious food. The mussels are unparalleled in Trouville; you'll find amazing recipes like mussels with Pont L'Eveque cheese, and there was even one with cider (an exceptional recipe I'll never forget). In short, and if only it were just the food! What a welcome! With so much warmth, humor, and professionalism, a visit to La Moulerie was our regular holiday ritual, a pleasure to come to Trouville because we were going to see Cathy; the girls looked forward to it so much. For all of this, a huge, huge, huge thank you.

20/09/2026: A little shout-out from the group of Parisians who stopped by for breakfast and lunch. The service was very pleasant and incredibly friendly, which made us want to come back for lunch! The food was quite good too, but the service really stood out. I highly recommend it.

21/10/2026: The crêperie is cute, but the welcome was off-putting. After the classic "Did you make a reservation?", even though there weren't many people there, I was offered a table right in front of the entrance (I didn't even understand why a table was there). Being sensitive to the cold, I declined and asked for a table upstairs. This was granted, but without a smile. The upstairs room is well laid out, with a bar area and a large, comfortable sofa. Our meal was good. It's a shame the welcome wasn't warmer; we would have had a better experience.

13/10/2026: A true brasserie in Trouville! A very traditional menu that's sure to please. Generous portions in a classic brasserie atmosphere. So, an excellent choice for those who love the brasserie experience. Not a single flaw.

10/10/2026: First time for us, we were looking forward to trying moules frites (mussels and fries), but what a disappointment! The mussels were served in a stainless steel tureen that reminded me of summer camp. They were very generously portioned, but cold when they arrived. Back home, they're served in individual pots specifically for mussels, with a lid to keep them warm and, more importantly, to stir the sauce. Basically, a simple plate placed on top serves as a lid. Thinking fries were included, we ordered them, and to our surprise, they cost €14 for two portions that weren't homemade. So, mussels and fries came to €29. The most expensive mussels we've ever had, and we know our stuff, not exactly short on cash. It's a real tourist trap, given its location and size. Very disappointed.

21/08/2026: A lovely spot on the seafront, with a very entertaining piano bar atmosphere on Saturday nights. I'd do it again.

21/08/2026: I ordered a duck breast with mashed potatoes, but I received half a duck breast with a gratin instead of mashed potatoes.

16/10/2026: This is an address I highly recommend. 1) The welcome is incredibly friendly, the staff are smiling and helpful, and even if you're accompanied by your dog—because yes, we can come here with our Golden Retriever, and that's worth emphasizing—animals are also very welcome. 2) The meal is excellent, hearty, and generous. In short, it's the perfect place for lunch by the sea.

30/08/2026: A frosty welcome… The waiter (and the waitress, his sister?) didn't even respond to our greeting… Overwhelmed or simply fed up with their jobs? We waited for about twenty minutes, without anyone coming to take our order, before finally leaving. Just 20-30 meters down the road, you can find restaurants where the service is far more polite and respectful. It's a shame, because it doesn't take much to make customers want to stay: a simple hello and a little attention.

I've read some of the comments, and I wonder how anyone can nitpick such minor details when faced with exceptional quality and selection of products, perfect cooking, and service that is both warm and professional. 27/05/2026: I came to spend a few days in Deauville with my family, and we decided to buy a carton of fish soup to take with us up north. However, we noticed a strong smell in the car. We weren't paying attention, but they sold us open jars. That's how you end up throwing away a carton of six soups. What a rip-off!
