25/03/2026: Dinner with friends on March 23rd during a holiday in Trouville-sur-Mer. We returned with friends this year after being delighted with our first visit as a couple in 2025, which earned us a 5/5 rating across the board. The aperitif was decent and well-served. We were quite disappointed by the starters; the deviled eggs and burrata were really quite ordinary. We were even more disappointed by the main courses, which were served cold, especially the chicken supreme and the fries. Personally, I chose a salmon tartare with lime and ginger, which was bland and tasteless. However, the desserts were good! Furthermore, we ordered knives and were told they were out. We also ordered a fish casserole, which was then canceled as it was also unavailable. The waitress seemed rather embarrassed but very friendly, and we were offered a complimentary after-dinner drink. In short, it was significantly worse than a year ago. It's a shame. Let's hope the quality returns to a good level very soon. Didier (Belgium).

26/04/2026: On my aunt's recommendation, we had lunch as a family on the terrace. The staff were welcoming and lovely. The dishes were generous and delicious. One thing is for sure, we'll be back soon! 😁

07/05/2026: We had a lovely time at this Trouville institution; the Normandy sauce was, as always, excellent, and the ingredients were top-notch. The downsides were the very high prices compared to what you get (for example, €64 for the sole or €14-16 for desserts) and the rain that poured down on us while we were eating in the conservatory. The waiter kindly tried to plug the leaks, but without success.

04/05/2026: I've been going to Trouville for over 30 years. And I'd never been to the restaurant "Les Vapeurs" until now (May 2026). The verdict, which I expected: the prices are really high for what you get on your plate. - The decor is great, retro, stylish, and period-appropriate. - The staff is very attentive, very welcoming to children too, and they even offered us a complimentary digestif! Excellent! 👍 - The food is good! It's nothing exceptional, but for a brasserie, it's good. - It's clean; we were inside in a quiet spot, and it wasn't very crowded. ❌ However, the prices are frankly expensive for what you get (a few examples: €7 for a portion of homemade fries, €14 for a chocolate fondant, €14 for a three-scoop sundae). My wife ordered mussels in cream sauce for €21, served without fries, so you have to add €7. That makes €28 for the mussels in cream sauce. I usually pay around €13… €35 for two small grilled red mullet… or you have to add another side dish. I included a photo of the desserts to show the prices. - The location is perfect, facing the port, near Rue des Bains, and close to the beach. In short, this restaurant is central and eye-catching, and it's been around for years. It's an institution, but I think it's the kind of place you only go to once. Don't go there expecting a good meal or good value for money. If you go with your family, your wallet will feel it. If the prices were more affordable, I might consider going back. I'm giving it 3 stars, that's the maximum!

19/04/2026: Unfortunately, we couldn't eat there because they stop serving savory crepes at 4:30 pm on Sundays… even though the sign said they served sweet and savory crepes "continuously." Anyway! What a shame!

For an order of two Cokes and one fruit juice, one Coke was forgotten (it happens…), but after three reminders, and after 30 minutes, the young waiter replied, "I have two arms," ​​and two sweet crepes were served cold… all for €32. It's the location that saves the establishment.

23/04/2026: Zero hygiene! A word of advice: Don't come here for coffee or food! A little before 11 a.m., I went to get a takeaway coffee. The waitress behind the coffee bar filled empty bottles into the large bin and even took the bin outside. Then, WITHOUT washing her hands, she started making coffees. I asked her if she could wash her hands after handling the bins. She wasn't happy and went to see her bosses, a man and a woman. She came back and told me she couldn't make the coffee because her hands were dirty and didn't appreciate my comment so early in the morning (it was almost 11 a.m.). The owner arrived and told me they didn't have time to wash their hands, very rudely... Zero hygiene, and that's in plain sight, so imagine what it's like in the kitchen... Avoid at all costs! The owner pushed me out even though I was holding my son. I was obviously going to leave without having coffee because of hygiene concerns! He told me, "We know people like you." I didn't even react; it's pathetic. I asked him to leave me alone, not to touch me. I had to raise my voice, and the owner finally told him to leave me alone. They don't even have time to wash their hands... "Run away, you poor fools!"

11/10/2025: Huge disappointment. I ordered a scallop casserole with leeks: the leeks weren't cooked, nor were the potatoes (not listed on the menu). Furthermore, the dishes served looked nothing like the photos on TripAdvisor or Instagram. It's also a wine bar. From what I understand, there have been problems with the cook since a change of ownership. Avoid this place.

16/03/2026: I used to go to this restaurant regularly because the setting is pleasant and the food is quite decent. The last time, I was deeply disappointed. The red meat was overcooked (it had to be sent back to the kitchen). The second time, it was fine. My skate was overcooked, so I left it. We also didn't order dessert. The waitress was barely friendly (no hard feelings, I left her a tip). I regretted this meal all the more because I was inviting a family member.

30/04/2026: Perhaps it's not mussel season? Most of them are empty, very small, and inedible. The staff are very nice to the animals but not to the humans; they lack hospitality.

16/03/2026: I had a wonderful time at Maison Saiter. The welcome was warm and the atmosphere very pleasant. The products are fresh and of very high quality; you can really taste the difference. The service is excellent, and the whole team is very attentive. I highly recommend this place and will gladly return!

29/04/2026: It lives up to its name, this place is all about "MEUNIER TU DORS!" I've never seen anything like it. The waitress was incredibly slow; it took almost 30 minutes to get our iced chocolate and a large coffee, along with two chocolate croissants. Avoid at all costs. It's a disaster, very expensive, and incredibly slow.

19/04/2026: The small Viennese pastry was good but could have used a few more chocolate chips, and the cups for the drinks were a bit small. The service was quick and the waitresses were very friendly.

04/11/2025: Nice setting, but don't order the panini as a snack... I was expecting pieces of curried chicken... Instead, I got a bland slice of chicken breast... and I'm still looking for the curry. It's definitely mass-produced and frozen. The live band in the evening is quite noisy.
