20/02/2026: Excellent cocktail, simple but effective food, we'll be back!

14/02/2026: Last night I celebrated my birthday at the Royal. We had a wonderful meal at the all-you-can-eat buffet—too much, in fact, because we wanted to try everything! All the maki rolls were delicious and fresh. I loved my spring roll—there was a good selection of meat and steamed options. In short, I highly recommend it because the place is also very pretty, and the owners are incredibly welcoming. Tonight they're also having a Valentine's Day celebration with a special menu. They really know how to do things right; I enjoyed their Christmas Eve dinner there. Enjoy your meal at the Royal Verneuil!

26/02/2026: Charming motel, just like the staff! Very convenient as it's close to Center Parcs where we spent the day. So, staying nearby was perfect! Spacious and clean room, and the staff were very attentive! I highly recommend it for the price! 👍

02/01/2026: Great motel, quite reasonably priced for a one-night stay for four people. €6.50 for breakfast, a great deal. The restaurant was also perfect, fantastic to be able to walk there. A good little place for people like us who are just passing through.

11/02/2026: A Sunday lunch you should definitely try. A truly beautiful table.

09/02/2026: The menu is presented. I read about the chef's background and his quest for a Michelin star, but he's not the one cooking—that's already misleading! And as for the €45 menu... You expect slightly higher-end ingredients with elegant presentation, but this doesn't resemble the photos in the guide. It's not that the food is badly cooked (the braised veal shoulder with almond cream and amaretto was good, but we couldn't taste the almond!). In short, it's not good value for money. You can sometimes eat better in certain brasseries!

22/03/2026: Very good, simple cuisine made with quality ingredients. We'll definitely be back. The staff were very pleasant. The waiter was very responsive when our table was wobbly. Highly recommended.

01/03/2026: Surprised to receive a reply stating they were closed Friday evening, as this doesn't match the hours listed online; disappointing first contact.

27/11/2025: Not being from Verneuil, the reception was appalling this morning when I walked in. The woman stared at me, and when I tried to pay contactless, I said goodbye. She retorted, "You have to wait until it's over before you leave," in a tone as if I were a thief! Of course, my card went through. I said goodbye again, and there was no response. In short, it was my first and last time at this bakery. The worst reception of my life for buying croissants. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! The welcome and customer service are TERRIBLE. (I didn't even try the croissants.)

17/03/2026: THIS IS SHAMEFUL!!! I went to the drive-thru today at 3:10 PM. At first, they asked me to wait... 15 minutes later, still no one!!! I went into the restaurant, and the guy told me he was overwhelmed and had forgotten about me!!! I went back to the car. 5 minutes later, still nothing. I left without ordering and I was furious!!! And I was in a hurry, that's the whole point of the drive-thru!!! I will never set foot in that restaurant again!!! And I certainly won't come looking like this... LAMENTABLE!!!

11/03/2026: ⚠️ Be careful when you receive your change if you pay in cash. March 10th at 12:57 PM. The crew member, number 55050, with dark skin and a heavy build, stole €1 from me. If he does this to every customer, he'll be rich by the end of the day, plus he wasn't friendly. There was a wait even though the restaurant was empty. The fries were soggy and lukewarm, and the table and floor were greasy. I do not recommend the McDonald's in Verneuil-sur-Avre.
