22/11/2025: I'm giving it 3 stars so as not to lower the average rating too much. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to have lunch here. My problem is that the restaurant was closed at noon on Saturday, November 22, 2025, even though it was listed as open. I like to get off the highway to eat in small restaurants, so this was a big disappointment.

23/03/2025: An address to discover in the historic town center of Cusset. Simple but excellent cuisine. A slightly retro design that suits it very well. Impeccable welcome and service. Quite remarkable value for money at less than €100 for 4 with aperitif and desserts.

03/09/2024: Total gas station closed until 7:30 a.m. 😡 pump that doesn't work so it's impossible to put in diesel therefore it's impossible to put in diesel, because the lazy people at the gas station are sleeping, that's the new France

28/12/2025: We ate very well, but the price of the salad was very excessive for a salad. The frog legs were very good and the setting was pleasant.

03/10/2025: Very warm welcome in this restaurant, the service is impeccable with a really pleasant waitress who takes the time to present the menu (which apparently changes regularly, which is very appreciable). The dishes are nicely presented and really tasty, you can feel the quality and freshness. The only small downside for me: there was not enough choice on the menu.

15/12/2024: A reservation for 10 people for a birthday. Not too long a wait, very good service, excellent and plentiful dishes. All the plates were empty. We will come back 😊

21/09/2024: After two good experiences in 1 week we can recommend this establishment. There are good products there, well presented. All served by very pleasant, welcoming staff who are attentive to the dietary constraints of certain consumers. Very good stopover on the road.

17/09/2024: The girl who received us was very pleasant, good food for the price, just a small downside, the blue cheese sauce was inedible... a taste of fromage blanc... maybe I had the wrong day...

30/01/2026: I only dined at the restaurant. The setting, service, and menus were impeccable and delicious. Quite frankly, it's top-notch, even exceptional. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and there were nine of us. Everyone was impressed and extremely satisfied. A place I wholeheartedly recommend in the area. Thank you to the entire team; they were incredibly professional.

18/01/2026: We had lunch at a restaurant for the first time. If you're like me and not particularly patient, don't go there!!!! We ordered a main course and were only served after the other tables had received their starters. Imagine the wait... easily an hour!!!! We were left waiting without any regard for our well-being. The food was too greasy for my taste. The portion size was adequate.

04/01/2026: We ate here and it was simply superb. From the first bite to dessert, everything was perfectly balanced. I had the saucisse with aligot and the fine apple tart with ice cream – hearty, high-quality, and cooked to perfection. My wife had the salmon with sorrel sauce – wonderfully fresh and delicate. You can tell immediately: the food here is cooked with skill and respect for the ingredients. Very friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, honest cuisine. A place you'll want to return to. Highly recommended.

29/12/2025: Pleasant room with nice furniture. A bit small. Service: Attentive staff. Quick service in the restaurant. Location: Easy to find. Has its own parking. Close to a busy road. You can hear some traffic.

12/12/2025: Passing through, we stopped for lunch at the inn and ordered the set menu. The welcome was warm and friendly. We congratulate and thank the chef once again for his delicious homemade lasagna. The floating islands were excellent. We highly recommend it. We will definitely be back very soon. Thank you for a lovely time! 👍👍👍

09/11/2025: I ordered the ham hocks, which were served very quickly—too quickly, unfortunately, as some parts were cold. Then came a chocolate mousse that looked beautiful, very light and airy. But I think the pastry chef was a bit heavy-handed with the spice (cinnamon, I believe), and as a result, the mousse had a very unpleasant taste. So, I was really disappointed! Fortunately, the professionalism of the two waitresses made up for the rest.

21/09/2024: Very friendly welcome and service, with bowl for our dog. Fish of the day and small fry, delicious. All on a terrace on the banks of the Allier. Great!

12/09/2024: My visit to this restaurant left a lot to be desired. From the start the service was poor. Although we specified that all dishes would be shared, we were not even provided with extra plates, which was both inconvenient and inconvenient. We started with a salad, quite acceptable. However, the real problem came with the main courses. The meat and mussels were served at the same time, making the experience even more confusing as it was difficult to enjoy both dishes properly. The meat was, without a doubt, the biggest disappointment of the evening. It was so hard that it was almost impossible to chew, and it was completely tasteless. We had to add some sauce to give it some flavor which made us regret ordering it. As for the mussels, although the flavor was okay, they were extremely small, almost as if they were another variety, which reduced the quality of the dish. To top it off, most of the preparations were accompanied by cheese, which, although it may please some, in this case only served to mask the lack of quality, and was difficult to digest. Finally, the house red wine was just terrible. Of a quality comparable to that of a cooking wine, it was also served hot, which is unacceptable in a restaurant worthy of the name.

22/09/2024: Came this Sunday September 22 for the first time and last time in this business. Poorly maintained and dirty places in the majority of spaces. Concerning the traders, the products are very expensive for a fairly poor quality, for example: melons at the end of their life at the entrance to the store, unripe avocados at €2 each, carre d'Aurillac at €22/ Kg (it's shameful) and we have doubts about the fish which had a very strong smell and was surely spoiled. We obviously do not recommend this place.

10/09/2024: Very beautiful setting, very large, good atmosphere, for food whatever, cold meats, cheese maker, butcher's shop, correct prices. On the other hand, fruits and vegetables in the middle of the season, for example French tomatoes, are overpriced, an aberration so I did without them and went elsewhere "as they say"

03/01/2026: Very nice historical setting, table for 8. Personally, I had an octopus salad as a starter which was quite good but a little too vinegary, a bavette steak as a main course which was very successful, and a first chocolate mousse with the egg white not whipped enough. They brought me another one with apologies which was very successful.
