24/07/2026: We had lunch here and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, and the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. If you visit, don't miss the cheese board for dessert! It was such a wonderful surprise. One of the waiters brings over a trolley with an incredible selection of cheeses and tells the story behind them with so much passion and enthusiasm. It turned the dessert into a memorable experience, not just a meal. The restaurant is located in the beautiful medieval village of Charroux, making it the perfect place to enjoy lunch while exploring one of the most charming villages in the region. Highly recommended, we would happily come back!

08/05/2026: A small inn perched in the charming little village of Mayet-de-Montagne. A must-see for its setting, its cuisine, and the friendliness of the staff and management. The interior is very typical, in the style of an old inn, as the establishment's name suggests, and out back, for sunny days, there's a garden furnished with lovely little tables, perfect for relaxing as a couple or with family. Don't hesitate. Reservations are highly recommended!

04/05/2026: We had a very enjoyable evening at the old inn with a sizable group of 17 people. The beautifully presented dishes blended tradition and modernity, and I particularly recommend the various desserts. The welcome was perfect, with attentive service and a smile throughout. Highly recommended!

As for the rooms, I was very pleasantly surprised by the level of service offered. Finally, the setting is simply magnificent and very pleasant. I highly recommend this establishment, both for the location and for the wonderful people who manage it.

His partner provided attentive and friendly service, and we had an unforgettable time. Thank you both, we will be back soon because every meal is a wonderful discovery.

08/08/2026: A truly wonderful discovery! We had a fantastic evening in a warm and friendly atmosphere, enhanced by a jazz concert that added a special touch to the experience. The manager is lovely: always smiling, welcoming, and above all, attentive. You immediately feel at ease. What I particularly appreciated was never feeling rushed. We were able to take our time, enjoy our meal, the ambiance, and simply savor our romantic evening. A truly relaxing moment that allowed us to stay in our own little world a little longer. ❤️ As for the food, we were also delighted, with a special mention for the truly homemade fries! And what can I say about the homemade punch… excellent! 🍹 We ​​enjoyed the place and the welcome so much that I went back the very next day, without hesitation! That's how highly I recommend this place. A place where the food is good, the welcome is warm, and above all, where you feel good. We will gladly return!

28/01/2026: For 10 years, I was a regular customer at the Auberge des Tureaux, but life's twists and turns meant I hadn't been back for 15 years. My first surprise: the chef recognized me, and so did the staff—many of whom hadn't changed. I won't deny that this was a very pleasant welcome! My second surprise: the food was still as delicious as ever, perhaps even better than I remembered, and the portions were still just as generous. In short, apart from the decor, nothing had changed, or rather, it had even improved! This makes the Auberge des Tureaux probably the best value for money in the Allier region today.

19/07/2026: An unusual and very pleasant place. Excellent food. Friendly and helpful staff. One of our two favorite restaurants when we go to Montluçon.
