Rude staff talks back when you’re giving feedback to gaslight you into making it a YOU problem. Would never ever come back again. Worst restaurant in French Reviera.

31/03/2026: ​I booked a table online for Monday and got a confirmation, only to be called 2 hours before being told it’s "not possible" to honor it. We decided to give them another chance and booked for Tuesday. ​Despite having a second email confirmation, when we arrived, they refused to seat us because the restaurant was full. Their excuse? "The online reservation system doesn't work." ​This is a complete lack of respect for customers' time. Don't bother booking online here—a confirmation means nothing to them. This rating reflects their poor management and service, as we never even got to taste the food.

24/03/2026: I've booked L'Ovale reservations three times now and we went last night (March 23) for a special birthday dinner and they were locked up at 7:30pm. I called and whomever answered the phone just said the "site" was closed without further explanation. The previous time, I at least received an email cancellation, and when I called, they said the chef had hurt his back. I'm never going back! Such a frustrating and embarrassing situation with a group of friends for this to happen.

12/02/2026: A real treat for the taste buds! Served at 2:30 PM, excellent service, friendly aperitif. I recommend it 100%!

01/01/2026: I've rarely eaten so badly; you can really tell it's mass-produced for tourists. The price-performance ratio is completely off. It's a shame, it can't just have been because of New Year's Eve.

31/12/2025: A very nice restaurant. Interesting atmosphere with a fireplace 😉 We had frog legs for the first time in our lives and really enjoyed this appetizer. The pizza was also delicious. We recommend it and will definitely visit this place again with friends.

30/10/2025: Stopped in while waiting for bus to Eze - was the closest cafe to Vauban Station. Kind lady served us 2 cappuccino. Didn't eat, but menu looked good 😋.

09/04/2026: A pitiful and deplorable welcome from a jaded and condescending woman. No greeting, no smile, and absolutely no manners. She refused to accept coins without any justification. It's because of people like her that businesses are dying in Nice, and one wonders why tourists aren't spending. What a waste!

We enter only to have a coffee to go there, but we don't even cross the door, but we listen to our eyes with very little activity and, if we don't want to be safe, we don't have to worry about our trips to the beach when the bath is occupied. The explanation in French, with total education, that we do not want to use the bath, that we simply want to know if we have enough coffee to learn. However, we have gritted our minds, insisting that we go to the beach to bus a bath, without escuchar absolutely nothing that we say. Its activity completely lacks lugar, training and aggression. Before this, I say that your behavior will be unacceptable and we will decide to go ahead without buying anything. Is a pena encounter with a professional job, especially in a tourist location where you hope for a minimum of education and respect for your clients. I explained to him calmly and respectfully in French that I didn't want to use the toilet, but simply wanted to know if he had takeaway coffee. Despite this, he started shouting the same thing again, insisting that we go to the beach to find a toilet, without listening to what we were saying. His attitude was completely inappropriate, rude, and aggressive. So I told him that his behavior was unacceptable, and we left without buying anything. If you only enter a coffee in the gym and, you will enter it, it will be signed with a little care and attention, you will not be greeted, you will be prompted with the message and you will be in the bag during the occupancy. Gli ho spiegato en inglese, con calma e rispetto, che non volevo usare il bagno, ma simplemente sapere se faceva caffè da sporto. 28/03/2026: Beach restaurant in March. We had two salads and two glasses of Sancerre. The food and drinks were okay. The service was okay. Points deducted because after our meal and two espressos, we wanted to sit in the sun loungers by the water. We couldn't do so without ordering more food and drinks, even though almost all the loungers were free.

25/03/2026: Worst linguines ever. The quantity of the food is amazing but I could not eat caused by poor taste.
