24/03/2024: Very disappointed We came there to have a good time. Soulless decor, atmosphere in the same style. Looking at the menu, there are no seasonal or local regional products. So we chose a plate of tapas from the menu: various donuts (frozen?) Black olives and sausage. Then requested blue steak, cooking not respected because slice much too thin, €25. Prawns (dish chosen by default since no regional offer) with vegetable risotto (a few very small pieces of carrot). Question to the waitress about cooking risotto, response, "I don't know". We were obliged to suggest that she go and find out. We are in Ariège where there are so many local products to highlight!!! Well, we don't understand at all the laudatory comments we read, has the chef changed recently?

06/05/2024: We had 2 different pizzas and the 2 pizzas looked the same! Even if we know that it's more economical for restaurants, it's a shame to absolutely want to mix the mozzarella and Emmental each time and also put the cheese on top. A pizza is mozzarella, not Emmental! The meat is of good quality. The service is ok.

02/04/2024: I can't help but give this restaurant 5 stars, it fully deserves it. In an atmosphere of good friends, a welcome that is a pleasure to see, an establishment decorated in an artisanal way. As for dishes, I would recommend the cuts of beef. Also try the piece of beef for 2, it's a treat accompanied by a little Ariégeois wine, but I'll let the host tell you about it, he will do it better than me. Desserts are also homemade. Finally, a good address to discover or rediscover.

27/04/2024: After a bike ride, we arrive at the village of Mirepoix. We have a beer on the square before going to eat. The grain of salt will be our canteen. Arrival 12:30 p.m. Vaulted room, with display case of cassoulet, blanquette and co… We are welcomed by Noëlle and Sylviane (mother and daughter) Family atmosphere, relaxed atmosphere…. We eat well, we eat well. The Armagnac and Pear digestive concludes this meal around 3:30 p.m. I allow myself to do the service and clear the tables, I tell you it's like home. Thank you ladies for this moment.

02/04/2024: On the way back from vacation, we stopped at this establishment. A warm brasserie, with seats inside but also on the terrace. Brasserie cuisine, simple, hearty, and very good. The salad at the counter was very generous! The burger counter also, toasted bread with good homemade fries and excellent meat and cheese inside. A little disappointed, however, by the dessert of the day, the tarte tatin which arrived cold and without any crunch (no puff pastry or crunchy biscuits at the bottom), too bad. The staff is smiling, pleasant, efficient. The boss is friendly and asks you if you have eaten well and thanks you and greets you when you leave, which is nice. It’s a good address on Ax!
