09/12/2025: Everything was delicious, I recommend the profiterole dessert.

29/11/2025: The chocolate! You simply put in a coin and wait for your chocolate to fall into the cup. (Here, the cup is like on the highway!) The waitress specifies when you tell her there are two chocolates, but doesn't mention it when you take your order and tells you, "You have to..." (read). Wow! How polite! A good, homemade hot chocolate at Roi René, where everyone is friendly, respectful, and professional.

09/12/2025: A real disappointment. While the food was decent, everything else ruined our evening. From the moment we walked in, the welcome was icy, accompanied by a heavy atmosphere and inappropriate remarks that immediately made us feel uncomfortable. At the end of the meal, we even discovered cocktails added to the bill without any explanation. The manager's behavior was particularly shocking: persistent stares, a haughty attitude, whispering to her employees… It's clear that customer criticism is part of the culture, and frankly, it's unacceptable. Such a lack of respect speaks volumes about the establishment's mentality. Good food isn't enough when the experience is this deplorable. I absolutely do not recommend it.

09/12/2025: We came with friends for a birthday celebration and had booked almost two months in advance to ask if we could bring our own cake, which they kindly agreed to. On the day, we learned we had to leave our jackets in the cloakroom for security reasons… um, okay? When we went to pay for the cloakroom, they wouldn't accept credit cards. Since we didn't have any cash on us, the cloakroom attendant kindly offered us this "service." All this only to see other women walk in without any problem, wearing their coats and heavy furs… So, apparently, "security" is a flexible concept. We went inside, and there… a frosty reception. A haughty, condescending, and completely unhelpful employee (perhaps a former Zara saleswoman?) disdainfully asked us what we had (the small cake) and if we had informed the establishment in advance that we were bringing it, which, of course, we had. In short, the evening passed. The atmosphere was frankly dead (apparently unusual; perhaps we came on a bad Saturday night, hence a bit disappointing, but whatever). However, the waitress (a brunette with blue eyes) was lovely, and the food was truly excellent. The stars are therefore solely for these two reasons, because unfortunately, the rest of the staff gives a very bad impression of the establishment. The woman who greeted us apparently felt entitled to openly judge us, whispering to her colleague at the bar. Professionalism: zero. Then, when we got to the bill… surprise! They added three cocktails that we obviously hadn't ordered. Apparently, it's common practice for them to try to inflate the bill, and therefore rip people off. Be sure to ask for your credit card receipts so they don't also claim that "someone didn't pay their share." You can tell they desperately need to replenish their cash reserves. That says a lot and paints a rather desperate, almost beggarly, picture of the establishment... So, between that and the unpleasant staff (excluding the waiters), it's best to avoid it. What a shame.

17/09/2025: Very welcoming for a farewell party. Pleasant setting, impeccable and courteous service. The discreet visit from the owner during the excellent buffet was appreciated by all. This restaurant is thus following its usual guidelines. Thank you.

28/09/2025: A very bad experience at this establishment. We arrived today around 9 p.m. (Saturday, September 27). At first, no one greeted us for several minutes. We had ordered two pizzas and cheese rolls (which they apparently no longer make, although they did make them when I called later). Politeness is also an option at this establishment. The cook doesn't wash his hands, and uses his phone before and after taking the order without any hygiene. No gloves, no hairnet, or apron during preparation. It's difficult to follow hygiene rules, especially when they are clearly displayed in front of you. He refused to prepare a dish for us, even though it was clearly displayed on the menu and signs. When it came time to cut the pizza, he used a blade that he himself deemed "dirty," gave it to his colleague to wash, and then finished cutting our pizza with another. When my husband asked for a refund, the pizza maker became aggressive and literally threw the pizza at us. We used to go to this place in the past, where the staff has changed a lot, and we won't be going back. A total lack of professionalism and hygiene; I strongly advise against this place. We had an unforgettable evening with food poisoning. It was fantastic!

28/06/2025: Prefers to set the table rather than take customers' orders on the terrace. 15 minutes in the full sun without even a glance from the waiters!

04/06/2025: Worst place ever, especially if you are not French. We ordered before several other people and they received their order and were almost done and we still have not received ours. We motion to the waiter, we talked to them a couple times and nothing came out. They brought the wrong wine, they brought glasses for water, but forgot the water. Stay away from this place.

30/11/2025: We sat on the terrace for a drink. We received an extremely warm welcome; the staff were friendly and energetic, the cocktails were delicious, and to top it all off, we were served little mozzarella toasts without even asking, which were also amazing! I think that little touch makes all the difference! Thank you! I highly recommend it 😀

05/06/2025: Stopped at this great restaurant/bar for a drink after the magnificent Saturday market. Very warm welcome, super friendly staff. A great discovery! We will definitely be back!

08/05/2025: Very good food, but I had to do a staring battle with the waitress to get the bread. Too bad my relationship with the friends I ate with wasn't as good as the tartare, otherwise it would have been perfect, but that's not the bacchus's fault...

13/01/2026: A great experience! We were just passing through the area and wanted to relax in the sun at this bar. The service was very quick and efficient, and the staff were very welcoming, especially the red-haired waiter (his name was François, if I remember correctly). We'll definitely be back next time we're in the South!
