16/04/2026: Pleasant terrace, large parking lot, lovely setting, and excellent cuisine. The only downside is the approximately 40-minute wait if you order directly for the main course without a starter. In any case, I would recommend ordering all three courses if you don't want to leave hungry, as the portions were considered a bit small by everyone in our party (we were six adults).

26/03/2026: A true gem in Paris! Le Petit Capucci is an absolutely delightful restaurant. The food is excellent, with flavorful and carefully prepared dishes. The atmosphere is very pleasant and welcoming. The service is simply exceptional: you can tell the team works with great care and attention to every detail. True excellence in both gastronomy and the quality of service. I highly recommend it!

16/04/2026: Excellent dinner tonight at this vegan restaurant. You can go there without hesitation. The food is delicious and the service is very pleasant. We had a burger and a roast. The shortbread cookies (montecao, I think) were also very good. Well done and thank you for the warm welcome!

25/01/2026: Deceptive business practices and unjustified prices. Avoid at all costs: this establishment exploits the lack of competition to trap customers. It capitalizes on its proximity to the theater to charge exorbitant prices with complete impunity. The experience was surreal. With no non-alcoholic or sugar-free drinks available, we opted for an herbal tea. They then tried to charge us a €4 "hot drink surcharge after 5 pm"! We had to ask for the menu and check for ourselves to discover that the actual surcharge was €0.80. A billing "error" that is nothing short of a blatant rip-off. I sincerely feel for the waitress who seemed to be struggling, caught between high-pressure sales tactics and understandably exasperated customers. Don't be fooled by the location; walk a little further and spend your money at an honest restaurant.

24/01/2026: Avoid this place at all costs! We went there after a show because it was the closest bar, and the evening turned into a disaster… Dry January being what it is, I ordered two non-alcoholic beers (priced at €6 each, no less!), but they were out of everything except one that wasn't cold. So we ended up ordering a crepe (€5) and an herbal tea (€4.20), and when it came time to pay, the waitress told me it was €13 and that there was a surcharge on hot drinks after 5 pm. Seriously, who does that, considering it's not a bar but a restaurant and they don't offer anything else without alcohol or sugar? We were a large group, everyone paid for their drinks, and at the end, the waitress told us that €39 was missing from the bill. We checked the whole bill again and realized they had added extra drinks. But they wouldn't listen, and we had to pay for their rip-off. And to top it all off, being honest, I checked the menu to see where the mistake might have been, and I saw that the surcharge for hot drinks was €0.80. I had to show them that I'd been charged €13 and that they'd charged me €8 for an herbal tea before they'd even bother to give me a refund. In short, this place is a disgrace, and these people should be punished for ripping off customers like this.

06/04/2026: I kinda hate gushing about places, however I really liked this place. Amongst all the mid places to eat in the old town area of Aix, this place really stood out. First off, the place has a feel. Old wood, generations of families type of feel. I just kinda leaned into it and let the server (proprietor?) guide me. Went with the "house specialties" of the barigoule d'artichaut and followed up with the Gigotin d'agneau and finished off with the lavender crème brulée. On the beverage side, I started off with a kir and let him guide me through the rest of the dinner with glasses of wine. All excellent.

29/03/2026: woah ! we had the artichoke starter then two mains - the sea bass fillet and lamb cooked for 30 hours on the bone.. flavourful and authentic. such a great rustic and home-y gem of a restaurant. highly recommended !!

03/04/2026: A very enjoyable evening at La Brocherie. We were a table of 18 and all the dishes arrived at the same time, so kudos to the service! As for the food, the cuts of meat were beautiful, cooked perfectly, and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend it.

24/12/2025: A fantastic lunch spot in Aix! The ingredients are fresh, top quality, and everything is clearly homemade. You can tell from the sandwiches to the daily specials. The desserts are delicious too! The value for money is excellent, especially for Aix-en-Provence. Simple atmosphere, friendly and efficient service. A place where you'll eat well and return without hesitation!

11/03/2026: We've eaten at Le Bistroquet several times and it's always been excellent. The vaulted ceiling in the restaurant's basement is truly beautiful, a real bonus. Special mention goes to the owner who is super friendly and really knows how to sell his dishes! One of our favorite restaurants in Aix 🍽️

08/03/2026: I highly recommend it. The service was impeccable, attentive, always offering great advice, and incredibly friendly. The decor is simply magnificent. The meal was excellent: succulent meat, the truffle linguine was divine, and the wine was absolutely perfect. The bill was reasonable. Go there; you won't be disappointed.

13/04/2026: A truly excellent place! This was my second visit to Jardin Mazarin, a place I first discovered quite by chance, simply by passing by, and where I decided to treat myself to a delightful family meal. The welcome was warm and the service impeccable, and the cuisine refined. The desire to please at every level is evident in the smallest details, starting with the hushed and elegant setting. The food is remarkable and beautifully presented. Among other things: a welcome amuse-bouche, high-quality antipasti, John Dory with its delicate sauce, a fully shelled lobster, a wonderfully light rum baba... and the sauces are extraordinarily delicate (mea culpa, I tasted everything, their delicious bread tempting me to dip my guests in it, but what a treat!). A truly special experience that is well worth the price. Please don't change a thing, and I'll be back next time I'm in Aix.

This small restaurant nestled in the historic center of Aix-en-Provence offers a truly authentic and warm welcome. The menu features a small selection of comforting, typically French flavors. Each dish is carefully presented and prepared with love. The owner clearly enhances the experience with his sense of humor and helpful advice on the menu and wine selection. I wholeheartedly recommend this little gem and will gladly return!
