This place is largely underrated knowing the succulent tastes of platters they prepare and served by energized and friendly staff .
Had their foie gras (perfect) and their Brie with fries (so palatable) then their house burger ( so good) with their duck plate .
Definitely coming back for more 👍
26/08/2024: Very good quality-price ratio. They have a daily menu for €15.9 with a starter, main course and dessert. We ordered the salmon and were pleasantly surprised, there was quite a lot of it. However, the chicken portion was smaller. Very happy with the treatment of the waiter and the service.

18/08/2024: To flee!! The waiter was rude, offering no drinks and sighed when asked to adjust the arrival time of a dish (so that it was served at the same time as the menu). Regarding hygiene, it was even worse: the bread baskets were reused from one table to another. I even saw the waitress, after putting dirty plates in the kitchen, top off the baskets of bread with her bare hands before bringing them to another table. An unacceptable situation. We decided not to eat there.
16/08/2024: The lamb shank is excellent. This is the dish to taste!

19/09/2024: An experience not to be repeated... we just wanted to have a drink but we waited more than 10 minutes before anyone showed interest in us... and even just as long for someone to come to us to take our order...
The standing is there, that's nothing to say, but given the more than hefty bill, a little more consideration and consideration would be a plus.

The local menu was really good.
The presentation of the dishes, the taste and the service everything was there.

10/09/2024: I’ve been coming here over many years as it’s a great location to stop for a coffee or light lunch and people watch. But oh dear pricing has gone crazy and quality is average at generous best. A cappuccino for €7.50 is in a price league that I’ve never seen anywhere before. And no it’s not a large cup.
08/09/2024: Le service était excellent jusqu’à l’addition! Gin tonic a 16 euros et en 2 lignes: une petite bouteille de tonic a 3 , 50 euros. En disant que c’est trop cher, le serveur nous a dit que c’est comme à Paris🤷🏼♀️! En sortant une serveuse qui aller trop vite nous à renverser Monaco sur les chaussures sans s’excuser, elle repartie pour chercher un autre Monaco😫

01/10/2024: We went there to enjoy a seafood platter. The seafood and oysters served to us were very fresh and the platter very well stocked.
We were well settled in the warm decor of this restaurant, particularly well located in the beautiful historic district of Bordeaux located between Place de la Bourse and Rue Sainte-Catherine.
28/09/2024: The seafood is of excellent quality, the sea bream and cod accompanied by their varied garnishes are a treat; it's plentiful, the presentation is impeccable and the setting is pleasant!
The two young girls serving are welcoming and professional!
In short, great time 👏

29/11/2024: one of my favorite places in Bordeaux ❤️ here it's simple, no fuss, we eat well, we drink well, all in an authentic and warm setting in a district of Bordeaux still a little preserved from "safe-tourism ", it's discreet, in short it's everything we love ❤️
14/11/2024: I recommend because the welcome is friendly, the setting too and the cuisine is good, simple and seasonal, well done!

04/09/2024: I find the negative 1 star comments very very harsh. Came at 3 for lunch in September, the entrecôtes were good, good proportion of fries. The service is fast and the servers are pleasant.
03/09/2024: Too bad because the place is great, tavern decor, spacious, great for groups and children.
Extremely long service, for oysters without the shells inside it's better.. ok it can happen but within 24 what's the matter!
Expensive price for the quality and quantity.
It was an experience to have but too sideways.

30/09/2024: We were served by a redheaded waitress who cleaned the tables backwards. The tables were covered in mites, which can happen. She was offended at having to clean them on the pretext that we had chosen this particular table and that it was under the chestnut trees.
This is part of your responsibilities. We asked you politely, and from the terrace we hear you complaining to your colleagues. Maybe changing careers would be a good idea? Conclusion, unfriendly service, deplorable even!

12/09/2024: The staff were so friendly and explained the whole menu to us. The food and drinks were very reasonably priced and were absolutely delicious! The restaurant filled up quickly and the atmosphere was fantastic. We would love to return one day!
02/09/2024: Amazing Indian food, very friendly waiters, and you cannot skip the samosas or the cheese nan. Highly recommend trying here for dinner!
