2 hot dishes, dry salmon lasagna that is inedible.
Beautiful desserts all the same, but for 35€, the customers deserve better, it's not just the setting!! What is the army of servers for??

28/09/2024: Went for breakfast. Menu was pretty simple so perhaps not the best stop if you want some hot food. Pretty convenient though as it’s right in the vicinity of the train station so great to rest your legs as you plan your day in Bordeaux

16/12/2024: For 15 euros I got three poor frozen green beans and three rounds of chicken ballottine, no dessert and no drinks, two slices of bread. I left there a little disappointed and above all I was hungry. I ended up buying myself a sandwich. It's a shame because I work nearby and I could have come more often.
14/12/2024: Go to a bar to have a pint for 9 euros. The waitress was not pleasant....

Correct product quality and prices according to the place. The service was a bit slow, understandable since it was full.

10/09/2024: An iconic family run restaurant positioned right opposite the Monument aux Girondins.
A very beautiful spot. We started with yummy snails and oysters for entree’s. The mains were outstanding. We enjoyed the prawn risotto and chargrilled octopus. These were accompanied by glasses of white wine from Burgundy, recommended by Pierre. Dessert was a must do. The Pear and Almond tart and the vanilla crème brûlée were delicious.
The service lead by Gaelle was brilliant and the decor and ambience in this restaurant makes any night special. Highly recommended. Thank you.

30/09/2024: We were served by a redheaded waitress who cleaned the tables backwards. The tables were covered in mites, which can happen. She was offended at having to clean them on the pretext that we had chosen this particular table and that it was under the chestnut trees.
This is part of your responsibilities. We asked you politely, and from the terrace we hear you complaining to your colleagues. Maybe changing careers would be a good idea? Conclusion, unfriendly service, deplorable even!

14/10/2023: The establishment is open contrary to what is written. Good reception, but very expensive compared to the quantity and quality. The taste of the cuisine is drowned in the sauces. Beautiful presentation of the dishes but standard quality. We find better and cheaper.

03/09/2024: Booked a table for the evening while visiting Bordeaux.
Food was good but very fast service felt a little rushed, The waitress was really helpful and attentive which was great (constantly giving us more table water bottles without even asking unlike some places)
Place was full and saw many different plates going out all of which looked good.
Would try again if back in Bordeaux as felt comfortable in the restaurant and all the staff were very pleasant.

First of all, we were welcomed in a warm and professional manner.
The cooking was perfect as well as the presentation of the dish.
The icing on the cake, the children, we loved the moment
I will come back for sure
Ps: I would like to present a great STANDING OVATION with soft chocolate which is not what confuses a chocolate fondant as you can find elsewhere...

20/07/2024: The best quality/price ratio within 1 kilometer. Lunch menu starter/main course or main course/dessert at 14€50 (epd 16.50), Tuesday to Saturday, almost all homemade, short menu that changes every day, very pleasant welcome, top-notch cuisine, in short, to make and redo 😁

UPDATE April 2022: Inflation has been there, traders are suffering from it like us. Prices are now P 12€50, E/P or P/D 15€50 and E/P/D 18€50
What hasn't changed is that it's still super good!!!
July 2024 update: No price change, and still excellent! Best address in the neighborhood. And for those wondering: the formula is ALSO served on Saturday lunchtime!!!
