06/09/2026: An unacceptable experience and a complete lack of respect. I found an insect in my salad; it jumped right out of my plate while I was mixing it. The server's reaction was totally inappropriate: she immediately grabbed the insect from my plate with her fingers, simply threw it on the floor, and left without a word. After waiting in vain for a response, I went to see the manager to explain that this situation had completely unsettled and distressed me. I pointed out that while the presence of an insect can sometimes happen, the staff's reaction was unacceptable. The manager offered to change my dish, which I refused because the incident had completely ruined my appetite. The person responsible never apologized. My companion was also unable to enjoy their meal, which we nevertheless had to pay for in full. To top it all off, the initial welcome was impersonal and the requested carafe of water never arrived. A deplorable experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

24/03/2026: We had the pleasure of settling onto this small, elevated terrace in the middle of winter, with the sun shining brightly, which made the moment even more enjoyable. The terrace isn't very large, which gives the place an intimate, friendly, and particularly welcoming atmosphere; you immediately feel at ease. The service is truly top-notch. Special mention goes to Perrine: if you're lucky enough to be served by this charming young woman, your visit to Les Ancelles will be all the more enjoyable. Smiling, attentive, and professional, she clearly contributes to the quality of the experience. As for the food, we tried a salad, pasta, and a tart, and everything was delicious. The dishes are well-executed, flavorful, and generous, with simple yet expertly prepared cuisine, just the way we like it in the mountains. The cocktails are also excellent, so much so that we returned a second time at the end of the week to enjoy them again. And to end on a perfect note, we were offered a small pear before leaving, ideal for warming up before heading back out to ski. A truly wonderful place that we wholeheartedly recommend, both for its atmosphere and for the quality of the service and the food!

27/08/2026: A truly magical moment! It's a real pleasure to have lunch on the terrace while the goats roam freely in the streets; the setting is absolutely charming. As for the food, the value for money is unbeatable: an adult menu for €23.90 and a children's menu for €13.50—there's really nothing to complain about. A huge thank you to the manager and his entire team for their warm welcome and kindness. I highly recommend this place!
