14/04/2026: Thank you to Dorian for his warm welcome; the meal was excellent with very quick and friendly service! My friends and I had a wonderful evening and were able to taste and discover local specialties. There was absolutely nothing to criticize about the entire meal. Best of luck to the whole team!
15/03/2026: A truly wonderful place in Serre Chevalier. The porcini mushroom fondue was excellent and generous, which we enjoyed with their beautifully presented vegetarian side dish. We couldn't resist dessert, though, and their pecan and exotic fruit tart of the moment was absolutely divine! The waiters and waitresses were incredibly attentive, and despite a busy Saturday night, the atmosphere remained pleasantly quiet. A special mention goes to the sparkling tableware, even though we were perhaps not the first to forget to stir the fondue for a little too long. Thank you for a lovely evening.

25/03/2026: Nothing beats hearty mountain fare on a cold night. We enjoyed an incredible fondue (one of the best I've ever had!) accompanied by a lovely selection of local charcuterie, as well as a delicious croziflette where the sweetness of the onions was perfectly balanced. Everything was complemented by a fresh salad and a good local red wine. The service was attentive and friendly. I highly recommend it!
07/03/2026: Excellent service 😊 I've been going back for six years now and I've never been disappointed by the food. The fondues are exceptional, as are the desserts!! Go without hesitation.

30/03/2026: We've been coming to this restaurant for eight years. We made a reservation and checked the menu on their website. Once seated (a party of seven), we realized it wasn't the same place anymore, that they'd gone upmarket, and therefore the prices had too, but the website hadn't been updated, according to the waiter. For me, a chicken supreme with fries was undercooked and cost €28. So we won't be back, and I imagine others have too, as the terrace was hardly full.

16/05/2026: What a disappointment tonight! We used to find this place so pleasant and the owner so friendly. This gentleman was incredibly unpleasant tonight simply because, due to a mistake by the restaurant, we dared to ask for three dishes to be reheated so that all four of us could eat a hot meal. The owner flew into a rage, saying that we should have eaten without waiting for the fourth person's dish. Why go to a restaurant if you're going to eat separately? Why pay a lot of money to be reprimanded by the owner? Luckily, the waitress was absolutely lovely and apologized on the owner's behalf. Despite being regular customers, we will never return! The owner needs to be replaced!
16/05/2026: We went to this restaurant one evening when a birthday party was being held. The main dining room was booked for a private event, so we were seated in a smaller room. The waitress was lovely and very attentive throughout the evening, but due to a mishap, one of our plates arrived later than the others. We decided to wait for the fourth plate, but the other three were cold. We asked the waitress to reheat the plates, and the owner came to our table, accused us in front of everyone in the restaurant of not having eaten our meals, and spoke to us very rudely. We will not be returning, despite the excellent food and the very pleasant waitress.

Chalet Hotel de serre ratier

26/04/2026: I had already visited years ago (2015, when it was still the Chalet Hotel). Since then, there has been a change of ownership, but the place remains just as lovely. I certainly wasn't disappointed. The welcome, the food, the kindness of everyone, and the possibility of staying as long as you like. It's an address that comes at a price, admittedly, but sometimes you have to treat yourself to these kinds of pleasures. Thank you.
04/04/2026: We booked the place for two nights with our friends for our 30th birthdays at the end of March! A real place to live with very comfortable rooms! I highly recommend it, both for the service and the exceptional location! A thousand thanks again to the whole team! Special mention to Fredo who treated us to delicious meals all weekend!

27/02/2026: Disappointed after 3 years of loyalty. An unpleasant waiter, increased prices, a cook without a hairnet, a pizza without olives and with very little topping, music too loud and noisy, a long wait despite a reservation—in short, a total fiasco. What a shame! 😭😭 Goodbye and thank you.

25/05/2026: Beware of misleading photos and small rooms. Advertised as a 4-star hotel. The reality is quite different. We booked 5 nights at the Grand Hôtel de Serre Chevalier, advertised as a 4-star hotel, right in front of the ski lifts. Prices varied depending on the day, around €200 per night. The website is enticing: beautiful photos, swimming pool, ski lockers, and it looks spacious. At the end of the season, we expected at least something clean and functional. The room. Tiny. You have to move sideways to avoid bumping into things. Zero storage, barely enough space to hang a jacket. We also noticed sloppy finishing touches, like a missing electrical outlet cover. We dropped off our luggage and left immediately because we had reservations. It wasn't until we returned in the evening that we truly discovered the state of the place: stained duvet and sheets, black carpet covered in marks, and a phone with a layer of grease and dust two centimeters from the headboard. And the bathroom... thick black and orange mold, layers of hair, toothpaste stains on the walls and mirror, black marks that had clearly never been cleaned. A real mess. I've attached photos, of course. The hotel's reaction. The next morning, I went down to complain at reception (another guest was doing the same thing right next door). That afternoon, when I returned, the room still hadn't been cleaned. An employee came over, condescendingly acknowledging that "it's indeed not clean," without offering any solution whatsoever. I was told that I couldn't change rooms, as the hotel was full. I would learn at the end of my stay that this was untrue. A technician then came to redo the shower grout (not all of it, but the effort was noted), which meant we were without our room for a few hours while it dried. This clearly demonstrates that it wasn't impossible to do it before our arrival. On the next cleaning, the toothpaste stains were still there, an open safety pin was lying on the floor, and the towel rack had never been cleaned. I ended up cleaning it myself. With each cleaning, new hairs appeared in the sink, clearly not mine. The rest. Booking a time slot at the pool is complicated. The hotel hallways are dirty: dust on the walls, crumbs on the floor, and this remained the case for several days until we complained. The only real positive point: the breakfast, which was nice. Communications with management. By email, I received a response saying they were new. Fine, but mold doesn't appear overnight, and the end of the season is still a few months ago. I asked, at the very least, not to pay for the first night (the one we couldn't shower in this state) as well as compensation for the few hours we were out of the room while the technician worked on it. A flat refusal, with an invitation to come back and see the improvements. No thanks. The lesson of this stay: don't let yourself be taken advantage of. You pay for a service, and when that service isn't provided, you have rights. Claim them on the spot, and don't give up.

11/03/2026: We were a group of 70 people and spent a weekend in Briançon thanks the help and advice of Serre Chevalier reservation organization which helps us in any step. This is the second year (last year we were 100) that we ask help to Serre Chevalier organization and every year we found professionality and efficience. I think that Serre Chevalier Valley is the greatest place for group offering many activities and very well organized and Serre Chevaleri Organization is over the Top! See you next year!!!
18/12/2025: After booking accommodation for February in October, I had to cancel five days later due to date conflicts. The platform refused to refund my deposit of over €300 because the owner didn't want to. Finally, the platform contacted me two months later to inform me that the apartment had been re-let, and they refunded my deposit. Thank you to them.
