Very great adaptability to each person's diet The owner and the cook were smiling, kind and attentive. We thank them very much for providing us with quality service for our wedding. 01/04/2024: We always come back with pleasure, we have already slept in different rooms but room 2 is magnificent, well heated. Everything was perfect. We liked André, he is perfect as usual. The evening meal was impeccable. The perfect breakfast, just what you need with excellent homemade jams, very good coffee as well as yogurts and local fromage blanc. We have adored. 01/04/2024: After more than 10 years without returning to this restaurant, we took advantage of this Easter Monday to reserve a table and we did not regret it. Restaurant of great reputation, with quality service, we chose two menus at 43 euros and followed the suggestion of the Chef who offered us 2 crémants de Bourgogne-cassis, for which the quantity was already there for an aperitif , accompanied by small refined toasts. We ordered a 1/2 Morgon 2022, which was perfect to accompany our meal. The starter was preceded by an appetizer (knife cut into brunoise and crayfish tails on saffron sauce). For the main course, we chose a Rossini-style braised beef chuck (with pan-fried foie gras) accompanied by a homemade dauphinois gratin. A platter of varied local cheeses completed this superb menu. To finish we were treated to a farandole of pastries (ball of vanilla ice cream from Madagascar, Opera, Cabbage, Normandy tart) with 4 almond tiles and a bowl garnished with a frying of different chocolates (I fell for it.. ..) A coffee came to round off this Passover meal. Although years have passed since our last visit to this wonderful place, we found this magnificent Medieval room with its immense fireplace which brought us a bit of warmth, and the pleasure of finding in this place, our server, a man attentive, quality, very friendly and very professional, who went out of his way to be pleasant to us, while continuing to train a young apprentice waiter. At the end of the meal, the Chef came to inquire about our satisfaction and greet us as great chefs know how to do, thank you for this gesture of courtesy. I think we won't wait many years again before coming back with friends to show them this superb place.

01/04/2024: Discovered by chance this restaurant was our landmark several times during our stay in Serre-Chevalier. Memories of excellent times spent with Dorina & Ghena. Top managers: smiling, funny and friendly. The welcome is warm (good atmosphere) and the service is efficient. We enjoyed all the dishes and particularly the mountain specialties at reasonable prices. Their home cooking is gourmet, generous and delicious. Thank you for the free digestives! An address not to be missed, highly recommended!

01/03/2024: We particularly appreciated this gourmet restaurant which really takes care of its customers. The setting is very nice and the local aperitif immediately puts us in the best mood. The choice was not difficult despite the variety of dishes, each one more succulent than the other. We fell for the porcini mushroom fondue and it was an excellent dish that kept all its promises. We were full. I wholeheartedly recommend the fondue.

28/03/2024: We come to Chazal every year impatiently to end the winter season. It’s always a huge pleasure from start to finish. The service is attentive. Nice selection of wine. And a menu always of high quality with noble products: langoustines, foie gras, lobster, scallops… With a very reasonable price! The plates are magnificent and plentiful. And a special mention for the famous Grand Marnier soufflé, a gem! Congratulations to the whole team for this flawless performance!

05/04/2024: Great evening the meal was very very good, plentiful and a great atmosphere with the jukebox. We were pampered for a moment of well-being.

30/03/2024: This is an incredible find in such a fabulous ski town. The food is incredible, between our large group we tried almost every dish on the menu and not one will disappoint. The hospitality is out of this world and the owner made a point to make each table’s experience special and memorable. Above and beyond service and absolutely delicious food from a local family and fabulous, comfortable and homey setting. Not to be missed and we will be back again soon!
