The welcome was very pleasant and warm.
Refined cuisine with very generous portions. We had a wonderful time in our little haven. Thank you, "Copain comme cochon" (Friend Like a Pig)!

11/03/2026: Beautiful restaurant, lovely menu. The prawns were excellent, the duck breast good... but the rib-eye steak was a disaster. €80 per kilo of fat and sinew is unacceptable. I should mention that I am a big fan of good meats, including Irish and Galician... but where was the meat? I reported it to the chef to rectify the situation... no response, apart from a small discount on the bill. Your accusatory reaction via your waitress (who is completely innocent) is unacceptable. We would have appreciated a constructive discussion with you! The chef!

A wonderful discovery in Vitré!
I was looking for a restaurant, and Le Petit Pressoir far exceeded my expectations.
From the moment you walk in, you can tell you're in a place that truly cares about its customers. The welcome is warm without being stuffy—exactly what you expect from a great restaurant.
The menu is well-crafted, the ingredients are fresh, and you can see that the cooking is done with passion.
Each dish is beautifully presented, and the flavors are spot on. A real pleasure from start to finish.
The value for money is frankly excellent for this level of cuisine; you leave feeling satisfied.
The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic meal or a get-together with friends who want to have a great time.
I highly recommend Le Petit Pressoir to anyone looking for a good restaurant in Vitré or the surrounding area.

03/05/2026: We arrived at 12:45 PM with a reservation, and our order wasn't taken until 12:50 PM. We then had to wait 30 minutes before having to remind the waitress that we still hadn't received our drinks.
We also only learned when we were taking our order that several dishes were no longer available on the menu, which is regrettable.
Adding to this was the waitress's dismissive attitude. As a restaurant owner myself, I feel compelled to say that a minimum of professionalism and consideration for customers is essential. If she doesn't enjoy her job, perhaps she should consider another career path.
29/04/2026: Great place, really enjoyed the food and drinks. The guy at the bar Lukas was a top lad! Took good care of me and my friends. Would highly recommend.

02/12/2025: Located in the old town, this old-fashioned restaurant has undeniable charm, but the rest is questionable. Despite the staff's extreme kindness, the meal was a disaster. Several mishaps marred the experience, both in terms of service and the quality of the food. The €65 set menu featured paper tablecloths and napkins, and mismatched glasses. For a table of 12, the bistro tables pushed together were not all the same height, the unbalanced glasses fell over during the aperitif, and the tablecloth remained soaked throughout the meal. On the other hand, the appetizer platter was generous with excellent charcuterie. The scallop starter was good but meager: three scallops on a tartlet base. The fish with beurre blanc sauce was excellent, but the beurre blanc was a complete failure! It was runny and transparent. The well-cooked meat was very good, but the very thick sauce was unevenly distributed on the plates. The fries were overcooked...😵 The homemade dessert was excellent. Well, I think that for a menu at this price, everything is too sloppy, inexperienced, and above all, it really lacks what the customer has a right to expect: impeccable service and quality. It's harsh but realistic. You absolutely must improve to justify your prices!
2025: Nothing has changed, so it's closed for good, and that's that.

30/06/2024: Nous avions réservé par hasard, et quel plaisir de retrouver les propriétaires ce de restaurant qui fait pizza, steak frites, burgers, pates, les propriétaires ont tenu pendant 10 ans un restaurant dans la commune de Noyal sur Vilaine et de les retrouver dans ce restaurant nous a ravi. Les pizzas sont excellentes, les vins également, les desserts sont copieux, tout est parfait et ils font tout pour nous satisfaire. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés, merci pour leur professionnalisme. S'ils lisent ce message c'est Nanou qui l'a écrit>.

20/08/2024: De passage à Vitré, nous avons décidé de retourner à cette creperie où l accueil est aussi bon que les plats ! Une ambiance comme on les aime et un repas terminé aux chandelles ! Merci !
17/08/2024: Restaurant tout à fait atypique tant pour la déco du lieu que pour la gouaille du patron.
Les crêpes et les galettes sont bonnes. Du tout fait maison.
Les prix sont raisonnables.
On a beaucoup aimé et on y retournera. On recommande.

27/06/2024: Nous sommes arrivés à temps pour diner car pas mal de clients arrivaient et le restaurant s'est vite rempli. Nous avons été bien accueilli, le service est efficace et les temps d'attentes pour les plats sont tout à fait corrects.
Nous avons partagé 1 planche de Tapas accompagné du "cocktail maison" qui était délicieux. Elle était copieuse, diversifiée et nous a bien mis en bouche avant notre plat.
Ensuite Eglefin pour l'un, poêlée de gambas avec tagliatelles pour le second et poulet montagnard avec tagliatelles pour le dernier.
Nous avons tous les 3 été satisfaits de nos plats et ensuite de nos desserts.
Nous recommandons cette table pour 1 cuisine simple mais conforme aux attentes.
05/06/2024: Endroit très agréable. Déco très belle. Service rapide. Accueil sympathique. Emplacement idéal face au château. Et pour ne rien gâcher tour est très bon.
