28/08/2024: After going up and down the stairs and there, seeing the famous little girls, and the bottom of the lower pit of the tower of the castle of Loches, visiting the magnificent castle, we decided to stop at the café brasserie café des arts, where we were well received,
The customer service is impeccable, the Périgord and Lochoise salad dishes are excellent!
We noticed that the salads are loaded with meat, which is a good thing!
Tiramisu desserts, and unfortunately crème brûlée (just kidding 🤣)
Everything was perfect!
Thank you to the managers, cooks, waitresses for their kindness.
27/08/2024: Après avoir monté et descendu les escaliers et il y en a, vu les fameuses fillettes,et la basse fosse de la tour du château de Loches, visité le magnifique château, nous avons décidé de nous poser au café brasserie café des arts, où nous fûmes bien accueilli,
Le service client est impeccable, les plats de salades périgourdine,et lochoise, excellents !
Nous avons constaté que les salades sont bien garnies en viande, ce qui est une bonne chose !
Les desserts tiramisu,et une crème malheureusement brûlée ( je rigole 🤣)
Tout était parfait !
Merci aux responsables, cuisiniers, serveuses pour leur gentillesse.

12/10/2025: The meal was excellent, and the waitress was wonderful and very kind. We were traveling with a baby, and we were very well received. They even made a plate just for him.
The restaurant's setting is magnificent.
I can only recommend this restaurant, both for the meal and the quality of the welcome.

23/03/2024: Great discovery, restaurant which offers little choice, a guarantee of quality, everything is made in house. What is not homemade is notifiable.
We had the green pepper terrine as a starter. The quantity did not disappoint us! The beef was tender, the home fries cooked in duck fat were very good.
Well done to the cooks.
We enjoyed our evening in this establishment.

The prices are more than reasonable and the refinement matches the originality.

Yet again we have returned to this superbly located, friendly hotel in Magical Loches, run by a delightful couple ,Sylvie et Stéphane Gage who continue to deliver exceptional service and wonderful traditional food to all their customers .This a one of a kind , family run , classic French Hotel , situated in the heart of the fantastic historic town of Loches , even boasting secure Hotel courtyard parking - esp. good for motorcycles!. Always a Friendly welcome, with comfortable , if somewhat dated rooms, some with A/C, but compensated by meals in the superb dining room or out in the balmy summer evening courtyard. Fabulous , value food, and superb local wine selection .
We keep going back- Well worth a trip , or detour en route South, for a quiet relaxing overnight stay situated in the centre of the pedestrianised part of Loches.. You will return to this gem in the heart of France , over and over to epxerince the bustling markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays, great individual shopping , and magnificent historical sites , all within walking distance.

10/08/2024: While passing through the town of Loches, I discovered this bakery by chance. I particularly like walnut breads and this one is worth the detour: an excellent taste, a very crispy crust and above all lots of very good quality nuts! THANKS
