28/12/2023: Boulangeri (in French) or bakery (in Spanish), PAUL is a chain that you can find in different places in Nantes. This one, in particular, is very central, just a few minutes from the emblematic Plaza Royale. The place is not very big, there are barely more than 4 tables (it is only inside) but it is very cozy. Everything we ordered was very good and at a very good price. Specifically, we tried the famous Petit Paul (a doll-shaped cake dipped in chocolate) I recommend having it with hot chocolate, a chocolate Neapolitan (pain au chocolat) and a cinnamon paste, it was good but with a chewy texture. All accompanied by a coffee with milk for each one. They treated us very well. It does not have a public bathroom. Recommendable :)

05/09/2024: Really good food, great prices. Would recommend getting there early as from about 12:15 onwards there was a queue out the door of locals grabbing a lunch to takeaway! Plenty of space to eat inside though.

30/06/2024: I discovered this brand recently and what a nice surprise honestly :) Delicious pizza dough (with a nice crust, soft, cooked just right), quality ingredients and generous pizzas, I can only recommend them 👍👍👍 I will return there very quickly and above all with great pleasure 🤩 and thank you also for the welcome 🙂

07/09/2024: An exceptional discovery!! We had the chance to have lunch on the terrace in this magnificent restaurant decorated with great taste. The service is efficient, pleasant and very friendly. The owner did everything she could to satisfy our very difficult 5-year-old son. Many thanks! The dishes are delicious, the products very fresh and seasonal and very beautiful. We will definitely come back!!!

27/11/2025: We had a great time at this restaurant despite its small size (we were a large table). We found the decor a bit cluttered, which made it slightly cramped given the limited space to move around, but it was still very charming and quite immersive. The food was excellent, but we felt the prices were a bit high. It was still a lovely experience, though.

16/10/2025: Intrigued with Guadeloupean cuisine which is unheard of in Manchester, we went there for dinner where food service starts from 7pm. We ordered Gwada (chicken) Bokit and Pointe à pitre (fish) Bokit. Food and drinks came at reasonable time. The Bokits had generous filling and were served with sweet potato chips and side salad. Overall flavours were subtle but after adding their homemade sauce chien (Créole sauce), it lifted and brought out the flavours more. The staff were friendly and were patient with me when ordering in French. I liked the décor of the place; nothing fancy but I could feel the Carribbean vibe from the photos and posters. Highly recommend this place to try a new cuisine as well as experiencing the Caribbean vibe in Nantes.
