21/01/2026: It's good; you can clearly tell that the local produce is prepared and cooked with care.
There's passion in the service.
However, calling the establishment "gastronomic" seems a bit of an exaggeration.
I would describe it more as semi-gastronomic: well-executed local cuisine with good intentions, but lacking sophistication and a willingness to take risks.
It's encouraging, promising, and makes you want to see them push their boundaries even further.
On the other hand, the price is, frankly, a bit high considering the quality of the ingredients, which are, after all, market-fresh.
I'll be back next year with curiosity and anticipation.
27/12/2025: Waited at the door at 7:30 PM with another couple who had also booked for that time; no apology for the delay. Pleasant service from two young people, but the portions were small. Very disappointed

23/01/2026: Warm welcome and professional service. The coffee is excellent. I'm eager to eat there soon as this restaurant has a very good reputation.
15/01/2026: I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance before catching my train, and I was delighted.
The atmosphere is simple and friendly, the service quick and pleasant, the cuisine home-style (capon with morels and plaice with beurre blanc sauce that day), and all at an unbeatable price.
It was a very pleasant surprise!

12/01/2026: A Monday evening in Beaugency, the first Monday of January after the holidays, and the first restaurant we found open after a terrible day at work.
A warm welcome, excellent service and cuisine. The price perfectly reflects the establishment's standard and the quality of the service and food.
The only slight downside was someone who didn't work at the restaurant, but who must also own a business nearby, complaining to the waitress and the chef that with only two people in the dining room—in this case, us (on January 5th)—it didn't bode well for an exceptional January.
It's a shame to make such comments in front of customers, as this person (whether a shopkeeper or restaurateur) doesn't give a good impression.
It was still an excellent discovery, both in terms of the food and the service, with a very friendly waitress.
09/01/2026: We had a wonderful evening! The staff were very kind and attentive! The food was excellent, a delightful culinary discovery!

27/09/2024: A beautiful historic building and it's great that it is being well looked after and maintained. We had a very spacious and well appointed toom reached by the large staircase. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. This was our third stay at the hotel and the Rotisserie was available this time and it was excellent.
25/09/2024: We expected more from the comfort of the room. A little expensive for what we got. Needs a good refresh. On the other hand, the meal was delicious.
