On a Saturday dinner, the choices on the €48 set menu and the à la carte menu are appealing.
They are limited but demonstrate that the dishes are prepared daily.
The wine list is comprehensive and caters to all budgets.
The quality of the meal and the impeccable service make the value for money excellent. A restaurant worth discovering and recommending.
19/04/2026: We were disappointed by the lasagna, which was dry, and the Genoise cake was a bit small. This is the first time this has happened.

An absolutely fabulous experience from start to finish! La Gargouille isn't just a restaurant; it's an essential destination for lovers of fine cuisine.
The food: The menus are exceptionally refined, with a focus on flavors and textures worthy of the finest restaurants. Each dish is a visual and gustatory discovery.
The wine cellar: As a connoisseur of good wines, I was blown away by the selection. The wine and champagne list is simply outstanding, offering perfect pairings to enhance the meal.
The ambiance: The atmosphere is warm and refined, true to the establishment's reputation.
If you're looking for excellence in Beauvais, look no further. A huge congratulations to the entire team for this timeless experience. I highly recommend it!
15/02/2026: Thank you again for a wonderful Valentine's Day evening; we had a lovely time.
The meal was perfect, as was the service.
This was our second evening after the truffle dinner, and we will gladly return next month for the beef dinner.
We had a pleasant chat with the owners, who were very attentive.

09/04/2026: A strange experience... The display window on the ground floor is enticing, but you can't order what's on offer when you're upstairs. The upstairs menu is complicated to understand... In short, it's off to a bad start.
The quiche was okay, nothing special. The accompanying salad was poorly washed. The tabbouleh was bland and tasteless. And what about the mushroom soup... I love a good meal, but this was nothing but watery and medicinal.
I understand the decision not to add salt, which is commendable, but please season your dishes.
I gave it two stars because the desserts are good and the drink selection is nice.
I wouldn't recommend this place for lunch upstairs.
08/04/2026: A tiny slice of leek and salmon quiche—no salmon, no salt, no flavor, as bland as could be; a cup of lentil and carrot soup—no carrots, tasteless except for the taste of water; a cup of equally bland tabbouleh. All for €12.50. Really not great.

21/03/2026: It might be a good restaurant, but making a reservation is essential. Since November, it's been impossible because they're always catering on weekends. They should offer a choice between restaurant and catering options, or at least indicate online that they're closed. This would prevent customers from being turned away every time.

06/07/2025: I'm giving one star because you can't give 0! Completely crappy service!! We order and it doesn't deliver and what's more they don't answer the phone anymore!
06/07/2025: A disaster!!!!! Waited over 2 hours for a delivery order. Had to call several times to see that the delivery person didn't seem to know our address. Delivery person annoyed at waiting 2 minutes at the wrong place because he couldn't find it despite a specific address... forgot something in the order, had to call the restaurant back, which didn't respond, switchboard closed at 10 p.m. Wrong drink and wrong order, I got something I didn't like. Dry tacos and no goodwill gesture.
To sum up, never again!!!!

01/08/2024: We arrived at 9:45 p.m. to eat quickly. On site the opening hours were 11:30 p.m. restaurant closing time and 10:30 p.m. kitchen closing time. We were refused on the grounds that the time was not valid on site because it had been changed by consumers and we were told the kitchen closed at 9:30 p.m. while the restaurant closed at 11:30 p.m. Find the mistake !!??

30/08/2024: A real little one in the center of Beauvais
A pleasant and inspiring setting without being flashy.
As we arrived at the very end of the service, we received a warm and dynamic welcome.
The menu, in bistro mode, is concise which bodes well for the quality of the dishes.
This hypothesis turns out to be entirely correct and the dishes served in a good mood and with attention are excellent.
In the end, a very positive experience and a very positive quality/price ratio.
27/08/2024: Unacceptable! Yesterday, I ordered a hazelnut on the terrace and asked the waitress for saccharin when she served it to me. She replied: “Too late, you should have told me first. » I then went to the counter to ask for sweetener, and a man wearing glasses, who appeared to be the manager, told me he didn't have any. I pointed out to him that he had some right next to him, and he curtly replied, “Take it yourself,” without even looking at me. Such disrespectful behavior drives customers away. If he doesn't like working behind a bar, he should study and become a dentist like me. Without a doubt, the only welcoming restaurant is Le Jeann Hachette, with its adorable and charismatic owner.

31/03/2024: I went there twice.
The first was very good, despite a long service.
The second, in December, was a disaster.
After an hour of waiting after placing the order (tartare), I left.
It's beresina in the kitchen, and it's not far from being the same thing on the service side. The waiters blame the kitchen, but they don't seem to do anything to improve the overall picture.
General table which, ultimately, requires good formatting.
10/02/2024: Table not clean and coke without gas but I am no longer surprised new generations who only think of the cash drawer while forgetting the basics of service.

15/08/2024: Ohlala, dish €21.50 salmon stuffed with scallops. I have never found the scallops and almost non-existent accompaniment: 4 ravioli, 5 strips of pepper and 2 small broccoli flowers, it's overkill.
A rare steak served more than medium rare.
A super speed server, left before the end of our phases.
In short, far from being on top or avoiding days when there are people...
