11/07/2025: On the day of our departure, we had lunch at this clean and welcoming restaurant. The waitress was extremely kind in expediting our order. We ordered a hot chèvre salad, an omelette, and a savory crepe. Everything was delicious, definitely worth a try!

17/12/2024: Volcanic!!! We had previously visited the establishment in March 2024 and returned in December. The menu is renewed but the welcome is still as warm. Congratulations to the entire team from the dining room to the kitchens who know how to welcome us and delight us with elaborate and succulent dishes. Well done!!!
15/12/2024: Very nice culinary moment at Lava. A 5-course menu, each delicious and inventive with beautiful and unexpected flavors. And a nice welcome. congratulations to the talented young chef and his team in the dining room and in the kitchen.

The wine list is perfectly in tune with the menu. Everything is supported by a professional, discreet and warm service.

12/12/2024: A café where life is good, and which has become my HQ, at any time of the day. The location is pleasant, you can enjoy a ray of sunshine in the morning and the place is quiet, which is particularly pleasant. You eat well there for not too much money at lunchtime, and it's a very good place in the evening to have a drink with friends. This cafe even has an annex that can be reserved for occasions, which is really an asset. The service is fast and efficient (special mention for Pauline and Fanny), I highly recommend it.

Simply excellent execution of timeless classic dishes that define this part of the world at a proper bistro overlooking beautiful architecture. Service was excellent, really knocks it out of the park for the type of restaurant that it is and for its price point, you can’t find better.

10/12/2025: We are shocked at how bad the food was. The onions in the soup had not been caramelized, and the soup was watery and flavorless. The steak frites were honestly the worst we’ve ever had in Paris. The sauce was like they just fished the onions that should have been in the soup and slapped it on the steaks.
The meat was tender. Ambiance was nice. There is nothing good to say about this restaurant otherwise.

27/01/2025: Ma deuxième visite à ce très bon restaurant près de Notre-Dame et de la place Maubert. Cuisine raffinée, service rapide et efficace. J'ai choisi le paleron et la tarte aux myrtilles avec un verre de vin du Ventoux.
A recommander si vous voulez emmener des amis (re-) visiter Notre-Dame !
