26/01/2026: A step back in time, a very friendly waitstaff, everything we love on the plate, and a wonderfully retro atmosphere and decor! I highly recommend this place, which is rich in every way.

26/01/2026: Our first time at this traditional Lyonnais bistro: we'd heard about it, so we decided to try it out. There were six of us, already quite cramped at our table. However, the waiters and the owner added two more people. We understand having to share a table, but we would have appreciated being informed about this when we made our reservation. The appetizers were just okay: only a few were to our liking. The main courses were also just okay. Having eaten traditional quenelles, we didn't finish these (3 out of 6 dishes). For dessert, the compote was really poorly made, but the crème caramel was quite good. We wondered if it was simply a matter of taste, but considering how many bouchons we've been to, we came to that conclusion. In terms of atmosphere, we were a little intimidated by the owner's enthusiasm, but we got caught up in it. The missing stars for atmosphere are due to a waiter who was a bit too heavy-handed with his jokes. Perhaps it was just a coincidence: I would be delighted to try again if you assure us it was simply a matter of chance. Thank you very much.

23/11/2024: La Gargotte s’est transformé en temple de la joie et de la gourmandise ! Sous la houlette du talentueux et chaleureux Yvan ! Un véritable magicien des saveurs et un ami délicieux et précieux ! Des plats aussi élégants qu’audacieux mêlés aux rires éclatants ! Une ambiance pétillante! La Gargotte est une écrin ou l’humanité se mêle à la générosité du chef ! L’amitié et le plaisir ont dîner , rit et dansé! Merci Yvan pour. Ton accueil toujours égal et ta cuisine généreuse et savoureuse !

17/11/2024: Nous sommes venus à 10… super repas!!!! Tout était soigné tant dans les saveurs que dans les présentations! Le patron charmant … le tout jeune serveur aux petits soins… si nous repassons un jour par Lyon nous reviendrons!!!!

19/01/2026: What a pleasure to eat in such a typical and authentic place! A true Lyonnais bouchon with all the decor and tradition! We had the bone marrow and eggs meurette, very good, though not quite hot enough for my taste. Then the black pudding with apples and the pork tenderloin with hazelnut and chestnut sauce, both absolutely delicious, accompanied by a proper gratin dauphinois! And for dessert, the traditional, homemade praline tart! I highly recommend it! Thank you and keep up the good work! You deserve to be known by all tourists 😉

07/09/2024: I visited Tous Les Couleurs last night with my parents and we had a great evening - the meal was fantastic! Everything was homemade and we could tell the chef took real care in cooking it. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing too. I really recommend visiting it (sorry for my bad French!)

07/07/2025: Genuinely some of the worst food I’ve ever had. The food was almost pure fat and was very expensive. Was a very memorable meal for all the wrong reasons. Food took a long time to come (ordered the prefix menu). The service was extremely snobby and didn’t speak english. Somehow they couldn’t understand the google translate to french either and brought a well done piece of lamb when I asked for medium rare. Surprised they would let a dish like that leave the kitchen - don’t let the pictures fool you! Given the reputation of food in Lyon this was more than a disappointment and I’d go as far to say it was an embarrassment to the city. The only way it could have been worse is if I got food poisoned but thats impossible because nothing edible was served!

26/06/2025: It's impossible to miss its purple storefront, both elegant and unique, a foretaste of what awaits you inside. At Albert, the cuisine is refined, creative, and masterful, with dishes full of meaning and seasonality. The chef offers a personal and modern interpretation of the product, without ever overdoing it. An intimate atmosphere, attentive service, and true consistency from start to finish. A discreet gem in the 1st arrondissement... that fully deserves to be in the spotlight.

29/01/2026: An absolutely charming restaurant that, despite the variety of excellent restaurants in Lyon, has its own unique style. So much so that even a quick glance through its window made us want to visit. We were the first customers that evening, so there was no rush, no noise, no fuss. The dishes were served quickly and were exquisitely delicious.

21/01/2026: Exceptional, unique, and fun decor – in short, a must-see! And the restrooms... absolutely worth seeing! Refined cuisine, but not too heavy portions.

10/02/2026: We booked brunch on Sunday morning. Perfect experience! Good food, simple but satisfying, and very generous portions, all for €29. The decor blew us away, all those childhood references—we LOVED it! And the staff were incredibly attentive... it was a fantastic experience that we can't wait to repeat!
