29/03/2024: Five years on and still remember this place as a great experience. Don't expect a five star restaurant - there's not much service and certainly little ceremony. But something even better and more rare imo - fresh-cooked food using traditional, simple menus at a very affordable price. What I remember above all was regretting being too full to sample more. Best go early and with a good, easy going group. 👌

04/04/2024: After a 5-hour drive in pouring rain, we reserved this restaurant last Saturday at 1 p.m. for 2 adults and our 2 children. What was our astonishment when we found the door closed!!!!! Without any indication on the door of course...We made around ten calls but impossible to find another restaurant at this time during the Easter weekend...and we were soaked from head to toe with our 2 young children roaming the streets…
We can understand that an incident could have happened but IT’S REALLY UNacceptable NOT TO HAVE WARNED US! The restaurant had our telephone numbers.
No know how to live here, the customers don't matter to them...a total lack of respect...

06/04/2024: Been here with friends because it was recommended by some colleagues. The place was packed, we had their full menu: starters, main courses, "cheese" and dessert. Starters were OK, but both main and desserts were definitely well below average.
The so called cheese was a joke: they served us a cup of tzatiki sauce pretending it was cheese.
Not recommended

04/04/2024: I went to this place with friends. The place, a few steps from the fine arts museum of Lyon, is really very small, with few seats (I recommend booking before going), but you feel at home there.
The experience was unique, thanks to the owner who warmly welcomes customers. The food is very good and the wines are exceptional.
To try!
04/04/2024: Cristoff is magnificent, the place too. We ate very well and drank some superbly good drinks. The price is very honest. We will certainly return to Lyon to visit this splendid place.

06/01/2024: First of all, I would like to say that I am eternally dissatisfied. That being said: I had a great time. The map is simple and effective. The service is perfect, warm and the food delicious. The setting is very nice. I highly recommend this restaurant.
20/12/2023: Love this cozy place with good vibe, good music good chef good waitress and good foods!!!!!! Had a wonderful night and we enjoyed a lot here!

20/04/2024: A big thank you to the team for welcoming our group of English speakers and serving us a surprising and delicious meal. We didn't know what to expect but it was delicious; the lamb was superb!
09/04/2024: Deplorable welcome!!!!!I really felt like I was disturbing. We waited 5 minutes at the entrance for the gentleman to finish vacuuming.
It was 12:05 p.m., nothing extraordinary to come to lunch. When I asked for the toilets I was kindly told “outside”, in short the anti-commerce boss.
The food was good but I will NEVER return there.

Authentic like the chef/boss

As well as places of ease.
Beware of the slightly steep concrete staircase, the descent can be hazardous if the body is a little too loaded with ethanol...

29/03/2024: The bacon pancake at this place is incredibly delicious. I thought the combination of maple syrup with bacon might be a bit odd, but it turned out to be a perfect blend. Plus, it's quite affordable.
