14/06/2026: The food was superb, the prices for the two six-course menus were reasonable (70/100 euros), the service was friendly and competent, and the ambiance, with six tables for two, was intimate and quiet. However: The maître d' compensates for the high prices with an outrageous wine list, where the cheapest(!) bottle cost 88 euros. No wines were available by the glass. Of course, this isn't mentioned online. This unethical business practice casts a shadow on the otherwise very positive experience. (He even treated me to two glasses of champagne for my birthday.)
12/06/2026: Original, refined cuisine with unique flavor combinations. A delight! The chef serves the dishes and takes the time at each table to explain the ingredients and origins of the food. He takes us on a culinary journey!

06/03/2026: A Michelin star, a magnificent dining room, beautiful glassware, and silver cutlery. Dinner promised to be a wonderful Valentine's Day! However, it was marred by several missteps. The cuisine was certainly creative, but stingy, using simple, inexpensive ingredients for four out of the six courses, and the desserts were disappointing. The cheese platter was excellent, though, and we didn't refuse it given the meager portions. From the very first bite, we encountered an ingredient we had specifically requested be avoided (in which case, why ask us a few days prior?), the wines were poor value for money, and the desserts were bland and uninspiring. Two members of staff were arrogant. Also worth noting: the only restroom in the establishment offered only cold water for handwashing. Only the chef seemed honest, although he was surprised that we weren't particularly impressed by some of the dishes. We expect better from this "starred" establishment, which would do well to improve. There are few reviews on Google, but I'm making the effort to prevent some people from having this very disappointing experience in the capital of French gastronomy!

05/12/2025: A €14 salad consisting mainly of lettuce leaves! The Caesar salad had mayonnaise dressing and a few breaded pieces of chicken. No croutons. The Parmesan had no flavor. Avoid it.

08/04/2026: This was our first time trying Lebanese cuisine, and it was absolutely delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly, always smiling, and helpful. We ordered a variety of dishes; I had the Shawarma (really delicious) and it cost me 10 euros. They also let us try their falafel (a complimentary dish). I highly recommend it! Great prices 🥰

10/06/2026: Very classical cuisine - truly great. Visited for the 2nd time... They have some classic dishes on the menu - they seem to evolve over time however. We went there for lunch which I can really recommend. Loved their foie gras with artichokes. Also the sweetbreads with targetes were fantastic and their spider crab with caviar. Sublime...

A true Lyonnais bistro with authentic cuisine... there's no rush, which is really appreciated... the dishes are homemade and delicious. We highly recommend it... especially make a reservation because it fills up quickly. Looking forward to returning...

28/03/2026: At La Mère Brazier, you step into history and leave with the feeling that it continues to unfold gently. Founded in 1921 by Eugénie Brazier, the first female chef to earn six Michelin stars, the restaurant established itself as one of the pillars of French gastronomy, where Paul Bocuse, among others, trained. Today, MOF (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) Mathieu Viannay offers a faithful yet vibrant interpretation. Tradition in motion, just like in Collonges. The welcoming pâté en croûte: precise, clean, and classic. The salmon trout amuse-bouche with kiwi and watercress coulis introduces a more contemporary touch. Next come spider crab and brown crab, enhanced with caviar for a return to classicism. A gourmet dish more complex than it appears, a true delight for the palate. Then the barbecued langoustine with braised leeks, kumquat, and langoustine head consommé introduces a more contemporary dynamic, with its perfect cooking, deep consommé, and hints of other flavors. The scallops with apple and golden turnip in green curry maintain this masterful precision, enhanced by a green peppercorn condiment that could have been a touch more incisive. The sweetbreads with miso, accompanied by a sake jus, embrace the Japanese influence more fully, a journey into the world of umami. Dominique Courbis's 2022 Saint-Joseph is very expressive, its beauty enhanced by decanting. For dessert, the promise of lightness and freshness is fulfilled. A perfectly executed passion fruit and rum soufflé and a reimagined lemon meringue tart. For each seemingly classic dessert, there are complementary dishes that confirm that tradition is accompanied by modernity. Kiwi and aloe vera for the soufflé, candied Kalamata olives and blood orange for the lemon tart. The service was slow to get going and generally felt too stiff. At this level of cuisine, one would expect more fluidity and a touch more passion. The lunch menu, offering remarkable value for money at this price point, is highly recommended. Solid cuisine that fully deserves its two stars.
