12/08/2026: Pleasantly surprised. I've always been apprehensive about eating Lyonnaise cuisine because I know there's quite a bit of offal involved. But in the end, I chose the cheapest set menu, and it was fine... the andouillette sausage was a bit cloying at one point, but still tasty. On the other hand, the plum "tart" wasn't anything special in terms of taste, and the presentation could be improved. Quick update August 2026: I went there 10 days ago in the evening. There were about ten of us, and I ordered the octopus with chorizo ​​sauce (the combination wasn't my favorite), but I went along with the group and ended up being pleasantly surprised—it was absolutely delicious. For dessert, I had a caramelized apricot panna cotta: a delight! Special mention to the waiter, who was smiling and very professional, which I find rare in Lyonnaise restaurants. Well done, young man! We'll be back.

16/08/2026: How lucky we were to stumble into le p’tit vert on a very hot day in August. As tourists in Lyon one can often feel like an inconvenience for restaurateurs, but the charming staff and owners here gave us a taste of the local experience. Everything from the Frâicheur salad to the citron givré was beautiful. A lovely place.

12/07/2026: We went to Vatel this summer to surprise our friend, and we weren't disappointed! First, the biggest plus is the experience this restaurant offers: discovering the world of fine dining at a young age. You'll have the pleasure of being served by competent and attentive young staff throughout the entire meal. Second, the food is truly excellent, high quality at a relatively reasonable price. A special mention goes to the house cocktail, which was exquisite. Finally, the restaurant's biggest highlight is the dessert trolley. You can sample an incredible number of pastries. If you're still hungry, you can try all the cakes on offer, but it's impossible! 🤣 In short, a truly worthwhile experience, especially if you're ever in Lyon. Thanks again!

23/08/2026: A truly unpleasant experience. The staff were extremely rude, impolite and unprofessional, making us feel unwelcome from the moment we arrived. Mistakes can happen, but arrogance and a complete lack of basic courtesy are simply unacceptable in hospitality. We left genuinely shocked by the way we were treated. Without doubt one of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever had. We will certainly not return.

If you're looking for traditional French bistro classics in Lyon served with great quality and unbelievable prices, Bouillon Maurice is an absolute must-visit! We started with some classic Lyonnais starters: the local Rosette de Lyon cured sausage served with butter and cornichons, along with a refreshing bowl of Velouté menthe-petits pois (chilled pea and mint soup) and a rich, creamy Cervelle de Canut (a traditional Lyonnais seasoned cheese dip). Every single starter was fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot. For the main courses, we went with two classic French dishes: Tartare de Bœuf au couteau – Perfectly seasoned hand-cut beef tartare served with a generous portion of golden, crispy fries. Tête de veau sauce gribiche – Tender, beautifully prepared calf's head accompanied by steamed potatoes and a rich, savory gribiche sauce. Absolutely authentic and full of depth! The atmosphere captures the authentic French bouillon charm—lively, welcoming, and unpretentious. Considering the fantastic quality of the food and the incredibly reasonable menu prices, this place offers unbeatable value in Lyon. 24/07/2026: A charming restaurant tucked away on a side street with gourmet menus. The service was a bit slow, but there were plenty of tables and quite a few regulars. The daily special was good. However, the main course was a little salty; you don't realize it while eating it, but you felt thirsty all afternoon, despite drinking two bottles of water during lunch for two! The wine list by the glass could be a bit limited considering the gourmet menus and the clientele (who are wine connoisseurs).
