24/01/2026: Dinner and atmosphere were perfect. The homemade terrine was to die for, the pork cheek with its magnificent mashed potatoes, all served in a relaxed, homey atmosphere. Kudos to Xavier for his humor and to Julien for his culinary talents. A restaurant to enjoy without hesitation. Claude and Laurent, the Parisians. See you soon.

15/03/2026: Bouillon Maurice is a very pleasant, typical Lyonnais restaurant. The atmosphere is superb, as is the staff! The dishes are served quickly and are delicious, all at a very reasonable price! (You can eat very well for around €25!) I highly recommend this restaurant!

13/03/2026: A wonderful experience at this restaurant, which I had previously visited when it had a Michelin star. The second restaurant has reopened and it's truly delicious. The staff is very professional, especially the woman who looked after our table and offered excellent wine recommendations. A minor drawback was the portion sizes. They were far too small. €38 for the fish course and €40 for the scallops; the portions were truly minuscule. We were still hungry after dinner. This definitely needs to be addressed!

15/03/2026: A disappointing start to the evening. How long had the dishes been ready? The parsley was yellowing, and the squid was more than just roasted. Although the evening was disappointing, the staff remained friendly and visibly annoyed by what had happened.

15/03/2026: Our experience got off to a terrible start: our reservation had simply vanished, despite two calls to the restaurant the previous week. The staff clearly hadn't been informed we were coming. The servers ended up improvising a makeshift table where all the guests couldn't even see each other. We had to call the servers several times to get them to come and take our order. Taking our order then went fairly smoothly, but one of the servers was overly familiar. After a trip to the restroom, which was dirty with dirt on the floor, this same server accused us in a haughty tone: "You did this." The evening went reasonably well until dessert time. It was a birthday celebration, yet no one on staff informed us that we needed to order before the kitchen closed. As a result, there was no dessert for the birthday. A very disappointing experience, despite my having visited the bar and the terrace several times.

18/03/2026: Nice bar, very popular, which can make it quite noisy and difficult to talk to other patrons. However, the service is responsive and attentive to customers.

01/04/2026: Warning! The low rating and negative reviews are due to the practices of the previous manager; the 5-star rating is now well-deserved! I come here for a meal or an aperitif every time I'm in Lyon. I had lunch here yesterday with colleagues who were all delighted. Don't hesitate to try out its ambiance and banquettes, which give the café a lot of charm.

26/03/2026: TATTOOS yes!, but smiling and commercial behavior are "optional." I was thinking of coming back!, but the persistence of these observations creates doubt! Will there be a third attempt? ... There is competition. A clientele is more easily LOST than ... gained ... SO!

02/03/2026: I discovered this restaurant. Its concept of "open-faced sandwiches" at affordable prices is original—except for the oysters: only 4 plus a small glass of white wine for 10 euros... But everything else is varied, with generous portions, and the waitress is welcoming and friendly with a smile! Well located on the peninsula. I recommend it for a lunch or dinner break—original and very pleasant, almost like stepping out of a tourist trap!

28/02/2026: Nice atmosphere. Good value for money. Could be a bit cleaner. Cobwebs were hanging overhead. Don't look up. Lol. The food was a bit too exposed for my liking. Friendly, cheerful, and smiling staff.

13/12/2025: I went here with my girlfriend a week ago, and the experience was delightful. The restaurant is really authentic, everything is homemade, the waiter is kind, and the chef/owner is really welcoming. If I come back to Lyon, I'll come back for sure!

04/02/2026: Very friendly welcome. Average food. The beef tartare lacked seasoning, the potatoes were overcooked, and it's a shame to serve a salad that looked like it came from a bag. The dessert was delicious.
