04/02/2026: This is a hotel I'd wanted to try for a long time, after staying at Villa Maia and Boscolo. Access by car isn't necessarily the most convenient: you park on the quayside and then have to cross cobblestone streets that make pushing the stroller with our daughter a bit bumpy. When we booked the day before, we had some issues with the online payment system, which was glitching, but we were assured by phone that the room was indeed reserved. Upon arrival, the reservation wasn't showing up, but the staff was very responsive and quickly found us a room perfectly suited for a stay with a baby. A travel cot was brought to us shortly after we settled in. We enjoyed the spa in the late evening: the pool was very pleasant and peaceful, and we also enjoyed a very relaxing visit to the sauna. Since two drinks were offered at the bar, we took advantage of them. Even though the planter's punch wasn't on the menu, Tanya didn't hesitate to make us several, which really contributed to the quality of the evening. We ordered snacks to go with our drinks: a charcuterie board, salmon, and a croque-monsieur, all quite good, with a special mention for the cream sauce that accompanied the salmon. The room was comfortable, and we had a very restful night. In the morning, we had breakfast in the courtyard in the center of the hotel: it felt like being outside while still being inside, in a truly lovely setting. The continental buffet was quite comprehensive (breads, pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, fruit juices), and the eggs Benedict were rather good. Before leaving, we made a quick stop at the gift shop in search of a Guignol puppet… we ended up leaving with the hotel's lion, which we named Léon 😊 A very pleasant experience, despite a few minor hiccups quickly resolved by attentive and efficient staff.

27/01/2026: The hotel is a beautifully renovated place, incredible bar, restaurant area, great historic common spaces! Abundant breakfast, nicely decorated rooms. You might get issues reaching the hotel because it is situated in a pedestrian area - so don’t forget to call before you arrive to get a password for entering.

02/09/2024: We were offered a complimentary aperitif as soon as we arrived... A friendly atmosphere. The service was very quick and generous, with good traditional cuisine. A place to remember.

26/07/2024: Very friendly staff, the waiter I had was very sweet. The food was great and well done. As a tourist I would like to come back! Definitely recommended!

22/08/2024: Groupe de 4 amies nous voulions essayer un endroit qui sorte de l’ordinaire. Le lieu a répondu à nos attentes, très convivial, de nombreuses cuisines du monde y sont présentes. Je conseille pour une soirée sympa sans prise de tête.

02/08/2024: We loved Food Traboule! Excellent service in the bar where we had a couple of cheeky drinks, and then delicious raviole and goats cheese salad. Highly recommended.

27/01/2025: Vraiment super ! On commence par l'accueil : personnel très sympa, et SURTOUT sincère ! Pas de regard qui vous toise et vous jauge, pas d'obséquiosité mielleuse, on sent qu'ils sont vraiment heureux de vous accueillir. Les salles : Il y en a plusieurs, petites, et donc ce bouchon ne souffre pas du principal défaut de ces bistrots, le BRUIT. Ici on s'entend parler, on n'en prend pas plein les oreilles. C'est très agréable, et malheureusement tellement rare que ça mérite d'être signalé. Les plats : Il y en a pour tous les goûts, dans le registre lyonnais classique, et ceux que nous avons goûtés étaient très bons. La quenelle parmi les meilleures que nous connaissions. Les prix : Ça aussi c'est appréciable, en y mettant le prix on peut se faire un super repas gastronomique, mais si on se contente de plats simples (mais néanmoins excellents) on a une addition tout à fait raisonnable. Ou si on n'a pas une faim de loup on mange très bien sans se ruiner. Le (petit) couac : la sauce de l'andouillette est excellente. Dommage qu'il y en ait si peu ... Un petit plus : c'est ouvert le dimanche. En résumé : super bouchon, qui donne envie d'y revenir.

03/01/2025: Piccolissimo ristorante nel centro di Lione antica. Locale sempre molto affollato . Piatti della tradizione. Buone le escargot e ottimo il formaggio fuso. Buona carta dei vini. Prezzi abbastanza alti .

03/04/2024: Very friendly welcome and quick service. We were in a hurry, so we ordered two salads, a Lyonnaise salad and a chicken liver salad. We thoroughly enjoyed them.
