The service was perfect: wine, suggestions, seating—nothing was lacking! And the view was absolutely stunning, of course! Thank you!

I don't understand this restaurant's ratings.
From the moment we arrived, the situation was clear: tables, placemats, menus, water carafes, glasses, and even the restrooms were in a deplorable state. Everything was dirty, sticky, stained, and grimy. A real mess.
We ordered a charcuterie platter with pickles and toast. The result: a plate of reconstituted poultry meat, without pickles or toast, accompanied by three pieces of stale bread.
We obviously didn't touch it and pointed out the problem to the waiter. Despite this, we left with a bill of €50 for this so-called "charcuterie platter" and four soft drinks.
In short, an experience as unpleasant as it was expensive.

Thank you to the server on the terrace upstairs this Sunday, August 16th, for their kindness!
The all-you-can-eat brunch is the best in Lyon!
It's so nice to have brunch without pancakes!
The selection is varied and well-prepared, fresh and delicious! The bread is crispy and warm! (Not dry at all!)
The price is reasonable for the quality!

16/08/2026: Discovered this place. Very nice location with a lovely outdoor space. However, the brunch isn't worth €31 per person. The food was rather bland and basic, filter coffee and Lipton tea, and stale bread (probably defrosted). The presentation table needs improvement: it's plastic and completely crooked with dangling electrical wires. Even though it's all-you-can-eat brunch, it doesn't justify the price.

13/09/2025: The restaurant has fundamentally changed its concept. Not a disaster in itself, but they should update the links/photos.
Completely understaffed, one overwhelmed waiter for the entire dining room. The kitchen is taking it easy meanwhile. Way too hot inside. The food was okay, nothing special.
We just wanted to leave...
13/09/2025: Unfortunately, Contre-Champ is not what it used to be. The chef has changed, and the experience is nothing like what you’ll see on Google or in older reviews. The food was disappointing, far below expectations, and the overall quality has dropped dramatically. To make matters worse, the poor waiter had to manage 11 tables completely on his own — service was understandably slow and chaotic, and it was painful to watch him struggle. What used to be a great place has become a real letdown. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal.

17/05/2026: Very disappointed with my afternoon snack. The waitress was unfriendly and not very efficient. The crepes were overcooked, dry, and too sweet. I do not recommend it.
