20/02/2026: We've been coming for three years and it's a sure thing. We're never disappointed... the typical dishes are super delicious, and what can I say about the welcome... we'll gladly return. You can go there without hesitation... Jean-Luc and Nathalie are truly friendly and welcoming... we highly recommend it...

30/01/2026: The welcome was far from warm for foreigners. My memory? Being insulted and humiliated in front of the entire restaurant because my son (a scientist and engineer, not a linguist) had made the mistake of not being seated (no waiter was there when I arrived). We were then offered a table, which I refused. Was I going to pay for this humiliation? I can speak French, and I do try, but I remained completely speechless, regardless of the language. Not foreigner friendly. My memory was of being shouted at and thoroughly embarrassed in front of the whole restaurant because my son (a scientist and engineer, not a linguist) made a mistake by not being seated (no waiter was there when I entered). We were then offered a table, which I refused. Was I going to pay for further judgment? I can, and do try to speak French, but was left utterly speechless in any language.

29/01/2026: This place deserves 5 stars! Amazing food and reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is like you stepped into a family restaurant, the place doesn't have this commercial vibe like many others around.

26/01/2026: We came for lunch, ordered at noon, and the pizza arrived at 2 pm. The only gesture of goodwill was a shot of genepi (a local liqueur) even though we don't drink alcohol. No apology, no discount on the bill, despite wasting two hours in this restaurant, especially considering the ski pass costs €70 per day. A terrible experience. One star because zero isn't an option.

26/01/2026: Be warned, if you're in a hurry, the service is far from the fastest I've ever seen! On the contrary, I've never experienced anything like it—almost a two-hour wait for a hot meal and two pizzas… You know the price of a ski pass in Val Thorens; it's unacceptable to waste two hours in a restaurant like this when we're paying over €80 for a ski pass… I don't recommend this restaurant.

10/12/2025: We had a very good time at Les Clarines restaurant. The meal was excellent and the waiters were very warm and welcoming.

20/01/2026: A spectacular Caesar salad and three-cheese pizza, great service, and a more than reasonable price.

24/12/2025: A huge disappointment regarding the quantity and quality of the food; unfortunately, we had a very good meal last time. Not the restaurant experience we expected.

27/01/2026: Located in the Val Thorens mountains, Chalet de la Marine welcomes you to a magnificent mountain setting. Everything is perfect: the welcome, the cuisine, the beautiful dining room, and the incredible terrace (weather permitting). A must-try in the area if you want to enjoy a gourmet break during your ski day.

03/02/2026: Hello and thank you for your warm and friendly welcome. Excellent value for money. The very quiet establishment perfectly lives up to its 4-star rating. Minor imperfections could be resolved if management simply took the time to test their own services: For example: Having breakfast and other meals only to realize that the food wasn't hot enough. Another example: Spending a night or two in a few rooms to correct the placement of some equipment. It must be said that the housekeeping staff do a remarkable job. This is just my personal opinion. 24/06/2025: This establishment is clearly designed for a British clientele: everything is in English, from the staff to the menu. We probably wouldn't have gone if the bar weren't located right at the foot of the ski lift, making it very convenient after skiing. We had hot chocolates, which were decent but nothing special. The place does the job for a quick break, with good value for money, but don't expect a typical or warm mountain atmosphere.

03/05/2025: Lovely tent on the way to the Dutchweek tent. Always pleasantly busy and the TV is always on with sports. The service is very friendly and fast. The food is excellent, especially for the price and the crepes are especially delicious (recommended: Québécoise crepe!).
