29/06/2026: I was very upset. The food was quite good in parts, but the cook was simply disrespectful and unprofessional. In short, he needs to re-evaluate his approach. The waitress claimed there was a computer glitch, which caused a 45-minute delay in our meals. I ordered a rare flank steak, but I was served one that was practically medium-rare. When I asked for it to be remade, the cook came over and yelled at me, saying that if it was rare, he'd cut it into a thousand pieces on the plate and expected me to eat it afterward. There wasn't a single bright red color in the meat, which I explained to him. He got even angrier. I told him to forget it, that I didn't have time, but I left in anger with my plate and demanded it be remade rare this time. There was no apology for the cook's behavior, nor for the restaurant manager's. We didn't even have the time or the inclination to order dessert. In short, it could have been good, but no...

29/06/2026: The food is good, the dishes are tasty, but I've never seen such an unprofessional cook. If you dare to complain about your meat being cooked, he'll make sure you know it. 03/07/2026: Invited for work, I was immediately charmed by the decor and the various indoor and outdoor spaces. The lunch menu is incredibly competitive (€20 for a starter, main course, and dessert), the dishes are delicious and beautifully presented. There was a bit of a wait for the very friendly service, though. The only downside was the parking. Don't hesitate, it's a great place.

10/05/2026: The season for good mountain food was a bit over, so the restaurant wasn't very busy. The tartiflette and Norman apple tart were excellent, and the waiter was very friendly. We'll be back!

We stopped at the Place Nationale, saw the restaurant, and noticed it was full, but we wanted to get some information (if they offered other services or if we could come another day) and ask questions. The waitress, barely arrived, offered a less than warm welcome, didn't take the time to listen to us, and promptly ushered us towards the exit, suggesting another restaurant. It's not my habit to criticize a restaurant, and one can understand certain situations, knowing that the restaurant business isn't easy. But there's an art to how you interact with customers; first impressions are crucial. This review isn't intended to criticize this establishment, but rather to encourage the staff to be more attentive to how they welcome potential customers. I am responding to your feedback: Sir, your sarcastic response only confirms the lack of professionalism we experienced. Before writing a review, we took the time to consult your positive feedback. Unfortunately, the reality was quite different. To claim that it is abnormal to enter a full restaurant to ask for information or make a future reservation is a rather peculiar view of hospitality. You praise the welcome "Madame" gives to your regular customers, but on that day, for us, as Black and Afro-descendant women, the welcome was icy and the expulsion swift. This stark contrast between the glowing reviews and our experience raises a legitimate question about the impartiality of your service. And yet, my colleague returned to calmly tell "Madame" that the way she spoke to me could have caused discomfort, and I was. She became defensive and even more dismissive. Finally, please be aware that your fellow restaurant owners in the city, where we were received with the respect due to any customer, were the first to be shocked by your attitude and do not share your vision of service at all. A true professional knows how to question themselves instead of hiding behind their "regulars" to justify discriminatory behavior.

18/02/2026: Excellent cuisine, beautifully presented dishes, and impeccable service. Smiles and friendliness are always present. All this at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this restaurant located under the arcades of the lovely Place Nationale in Montauban.

22/06/2026: What a wonderful experience! A magnificent place steeped in history, everything was spotless—the restrooms, the tables, absolutely everything. The meal was truly generous and of exceptional quality. We were welcomed by Madame Valentine, a truly lovely person with a wonderful personality. We will definitely be back with our family.
