15/07/2023: We were part of the 1st service of the reopening. Well crafted and very good dishes. Pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. I will return without hesitation.

01/04/2024: Hamburger served cold. Requested medium cooking, received not cooked. Banana split with hot chocolate, there is a semblance of chocolate sauce, but nothing hot. Well located for a tourist trap. Bad advertising for this beautiful town of Auxerre.

25/03/2024: The staff is always attentive to customers even during busy periods. My online reservation was respected regarding the choice of the (round) table. Allow 15 minutes to wait at 8 p.m. for dishes listed on the menu.

24/03/2024: A very good experience during the inauguration with Virginie on duty, to whom we thank again!! Unfortunately we returned this Sunday, March 24 in the evening, and very disappointed with the service by a gentleman with glasses (tattoo on the arms, anchor, etc.). Very rushed by his service, he doesn't even give us time to finish the starter when the dish is already on the table... Not very friendly... it's a shame we only remember the negative of the service even though the food was very good. At the time of payment we take out a 10% discount card on the bill that we had at the inauguration for businesses and this gentleman refuses us this card, supposedly not valid… We are not close to a few euros but kindness and politeness yes!

15/02/2024: Bonjour Bonne expérience durant la semaine je nous avons passé à l hôtel. Particulièrement notre hôtesse du soir celia souriante et agréable. Toujours de bons conseils.

19/02/2024: We eat well at lunchtime and in the evening and there is even an aperitif during the day! The new name is La veranda with a young team but which keeps the traditional Burgundian specialties. Fresh and hearty dishes. Prices and service are correct. The nicely redecorated room gives pride of place to tradition and fantasy. The classic ice cream sundaes are delicious and respect the recipe from our childhood and even the unbeatable price, so go for two or with friends in the dining room or on the terrace.

03/04/2024: Unacceptable, we book for 7:30 p.m. for six people, we are told that it is OK and when we arrive in front of the restaurant, which says open, there is no one there!! We call and no one answers and we don't hear the phone ringing from inside. Honestly not professional at all... To flee !!

29/03/2024: Amazing ! We order 2 takeaway pizzas for 9:30 p.m. The person who answers me when ordering tells me that I should not arrive later because it risks closing around this time. So far, no problem. I answer him honestly that my wife can leave work late and may arrive around 9:40-45 p.m. The person tells me that it will be fine and that at worst he will wait... My wife arrives in front of the restaurant at 9:33 p.m.… and everything is closed! We try to call but obviously no one answers... The person, when ordering, had taken my telephone number and could have informed me to cancel my order due to early closing, we would have understood. Fortunately we were able to order from another pizza maker to save our evening….well let's admit that there are worse things in life but my annoyance fueled by the gurgling of an empty stomach finally made me decide to share this bad experience and note this restaurant lives up to the service provided…. And this while waiting for the woman to return.

26/01/2024: Excellent welcome, I recommend, served quickly, magnificent homemade fries which is rare these days! Everything is perfect for a reasonable price, the wines are delicious even in a pitcher, we would like more restaurants like that! BRAVO👍

I confirm that it smells like kebab (another opinion).. better to go opposite Yonne and cathedral, magnificent view, ibis budget, €55, no smell S... and satellite channel/Netflix...ect, clean, smiling and understanding French... In short without hesitation, 200m...then. Good night.

Arrived there 😏 Very dilapidated exterior building 😬 strong unpleasant smell in the room and the entire room is just clean water leak in bathroom and 😲 nocturnal awakening at 3 a.m. by the sound of mice in the walls and ceiling) far from the beautiful booking illustrations! 👍The welcome was nice and breakfast as indicated on Booking 👍Location close to town on foot
