18/01/2026: The hotel appears abandoned at first glance. It's in a state of advanced disrepair. The reception was friendly but unprofessional. The overall condition of the building and the room is dilapidated, hygiene is highly questionable, and there are no window coverings (dangerous for children).
The only positive points are its proximity to the train station, the affordable price, and the view of the cathedral.
The promotional photos are nine years old, and no maintenance appears to have been done since then. I do not recommend this place.

Décor très original et très atypique mais très charmant

29/08/2024: Great restaurant. Incredible food, we had the prime rib and salad as a starter. Mat is super nice, the boss in the kitchen with his wood fire ensures superb cooking. Thank you.
16/08/2024: The servers are excellent, pleasant and offer good advice. Located in the heart of the old town, the place benefits from an exceptional geographical location. The service is not only fast, but also impeccable. The menu offers a balanced selection that will please all tastes. I highly recommend you visit this wonderful place.

Quel accueil et quels plats. Notre restaurant préféré dans la région. Malheureusement, ce sera sans doute notre dernier retour sur ce restaurant car le chef va prendre une retraite amplement méritée.
Si vous passez par auxerre, dépêchez vous de réserver !

23/09/2024: I know the hotel and generally I like it. This time I had a small room, with a slightly old and decadent bathroom, finally it was a bit cold, you couldn't put hot air on, only cold.
Breakfast and welcome as good as always.
The car park was super full, I had to put 2 wheels on the garden.

30/06/2024: We didn't speak French -- the owner was super patient with us, went through menu and made recommendations. The duck breast was fantastic!
29/06/2024: Petit arrêt impromptu sur Auxerre et coup de chance, nous avons pu avoir une place. Accueil et service impeccable, entrée, plat et dessert étaient subtils et délicieux. Mention spéciale pour le tartare aux saveurs estivales et l'île flottante sur sa soupe aux fruits rouges.

a beautiful presentation. Menu at €18 at lunchtime. Bavarian cucumber zucchini, monkfish skewer with candied lemon, compote on rhubarb jelly with homemade meringues. Perfectly crunchy vegetables, fish and top-notch sauce. Nice room. Clean toilets. Go there with your eyes closed.
01/08/2024: Absolutely stunning food. Lovely to our kids, great service, amazing cooking. Top wine recommendations. The beef was great; the veal and pork were extraordinary. Even better was the vegetable plate to start - straight from the market, all beautifully cooked and presented.

26/08/2024: Short stop for an aperitif, unfortunately no charcuterie board available and a waiter who comes back 4 times to ask for orders. Too bad for the image of the place
