We have the impression that the cook is content with just that and or that he doesn't know how to do better, too bad..

02/04/2024: Very nice discovery for this restaurant! On a family stroll near La Tremblade, we stopped at Le Pilotis. Very pretty setting and decoration, delicious food (the grilled octopus was a delight and the fish tartare very popular even with our children), top service (smiling and attentive), we had a great time there. We recommend and will come back!

11/05/2024: Lunch this afternoon at Hiss O we can only recommend it. The slate menu is very good and really inexpensive for what you get on your plates. Beautifully prepared and very generous dishes, thanks to the kitchen team and thanks to the service team who are very pleasant and fast. You can go there with your eyes closed!!!!!

05/04/2024: The hotel has been very well renovated, it is very nice, pretty and stylish. The fact of going to get water from the fountain and no longer distributing bottles is understandable in view of the climate issues, however there is no longer a bar and that was sometimes appreciable. Parking is always very practical, however, as a hotel guest I still find it a little excessive. In any case, hotel very well located, 2 steps from the aquarium. The breakfast buffet is varied and very good. I recommend. Welcoming staff.
01/04/2024: The hotel has recently been extensively renovated. It's a very nice renovation.
The hotel is perfectly located: right next to the aquarium and the maritime museum and a 5-minute walk from the old port and old La Rochelle.
The rooms are clean and pleasant (beautiful decor with the renovation). The bedding is impeccable.
The breakfast buffet is very complete and of very good quality.
A special mention for all the staff (reception, breakfast, cleaning staff) who are extremely courteous, always attentive to customer needs, always smiling, always available.
In short, a very good 3-day stay in a Mercure of very, very good quality in all areas.

13/03/2024: From the aperitif (homemade punch and organic fruit juice) to the dessert (local artisanal ice cream and homemade brownie) including lasagna and croziflette; everything was very good and plentiful.
Warm and caring welcome.
For the atmosphere, background music perhaps a little less loud or more neutral would be a plus (I would say it was Rock)
