19/10/2025: Yesterday, Saturday, October 18th, my first casserole of mussels with green curry in this restaurant. Excellent, I'll be back 🙏🏼. Impossible, the adventure is over. 19/02/2026: It's easy to see why it's so crowded. It's a good and convenient place when you're in the area.

The tuna, cooked rare to my liking, was a real treat.
Good, friendly, and pleasant service.
Just one small complaint... the bread.
This establishment deserves better bread, simply for the pleasure of dipping.

10/12/2025: What a refreshing experience! What an atmosphere! The oysters and grilled sole were absolutely divine, and the pan-seared scallops were simply amazing! The manager, Stéphane, a passionate seafood enthusiast and a kind Breton, introduced us to these extraordinary products. We chatted and felt transported to the ocean; it's so rare these days to find such warm and welcoming places...
10/12/2025: Ultra-fresh products! The oysters are delicious; thank you to the shucker for transforming his seafood platter into a work of art! A true culinary and visual delight! The ambiance and nautical decor, attentive staff, and the Breton owner are very welcoming. One of the best seafood restaurants in Lyon! Bravo to the whole team.

02/03/2026: A nice pub that a friend introduced me to. We went there in the afternoon for a good beer while waiting for the concert we'd come to see at Tony Garnier. The atmosphere was quite relaxed, but it was still very pleasant. I'll definitely go back to this pub next time I'm in Lyon.
15/01/2026: I've been going to Kelly's for almost 8 years now, and I can say without hesitation that it's THE pub for a great night out in Old Lyon!
Super friendly atmosphere, fantastic staff, pizzas and sausages, rugby or football matches, dartboards… there's always a good reason to go. A huge bonus is the quizzes that take place every Wednesday evening!
A real pub, just the way we like them, where you feel comfortable and want to stay. Go for it! 🍻

The waitress was unfriendly, and the punch was really subpar.
However, the prices were quite reasonable.
And two pretty decent pool tables.

11/11/2025: It's impossible to make a reservation at this restaurant. When you call, you get a recorded message giving the opening hours and asking you to book online, but you can't get through to anyone on the phone. And on the website, it's impossible to book. You can't even select the Ecully location. How are you supposed to reserve a table for 12 people?!
28/10/2025: I ate with a friend today, and the waitress was grumpy. What's more, there were two peas in the measure. The table next to us had some older people, and while she spoke calmly, she was condescending and rude to us from the beginning of the service. We wanted the all-you-can-eat mussels menu, and at the end of the second seating, she cleared everything away and told us in a very rude voice that there wasn't any left. And I paid for the all-you-can-eat menu, and it's not the first time I've been there, and it's the first time an employee has spoken so rudely.

08/05/2024: Dining at Merle is a very Lyon experience, especially its "les halles" atmosphere. The Soupe de Poissons, croûtons et rouille and the Escargots de Bourgogne extra gros, can only be experienced with that quality at Merle. The impeccable carriage and the exclusive atmosphere make a night in Lyon an unforgettable night, visiting a must!
