The ambiance and nautical decor, attentive staff, and the Breton owner are very welcoming. One of the best seafood restaurants in Lyon! Bravo to the whole team.
10/12/2025: What a refreshing experience! What an atmosphere! The oysters and grilled sole were absolutely divine, and the pan-seared scallops were simply amazing! The manager, Stéphane, a passionate seafood enthusiast and a kind Breton, introduced us to these extraordinary products. We chatted and felt transported to the ocean; it's so rare these days to find such warm and welcoming places...

Des produits tres frais présentant un panel de choix dans un cadre agréable, simple, spacieux, et au service fort sympathique, efficace et attentionné. Un conseil, réservez !!!!
02/12/2024: Cliente depuis de nombreuses années, je tiens à remercier et à féliciter une nouvelle fois toute l'équipe encadrée par notre Magistrale Flavienne ; pour ces délicieux moments passés dans leur établissement. Les plats, l'accueil, le service, tout est parfait, un vrai régal.
Et cerise sur le gâteau qu'elle fut ma joie de revoir notre Grand Daniel qui a fait son retour ponctuellement, sa bonne humeur légendaire nous comble de bonheur ! Je n'ai qu'un conseil à vous donner : franchissez la porte dès que possible !

11/11/2025: It's impossible to make a reservation at this restaurant. When you call, you get a recorded message giving the opening hours and asking you to book online, but you can't get through to anyone on the phone. And on the website, it's impossible to book. You can't even select the Ecully location. How are you supposed to reserve a table for 12 people?!
28/10/2025: I ate with a friend today, and the waitress was grumpy. What's more, there were two peas in the measure. The table next to us had some older people, and while she spoke calmly, she was condescending and rude to us from the beginning of the service. We wanted the all-you-can-eat mussels menu, and at the end of the second seating, she cleared everything away and told us in a very rude voice that there wasn't any left. And I paid for the all-you-can-eat menu, and it's not the first time I've been there, and it's the first time an employee has spoken so rudely.

08/05/2024: Dining at Merle is a very Lyon experience, especially its "les halles" atmosphere. The Soupe de Poissons, croûtons et rouille and the Escargots de Bourgogne extra gros, can only be experienced with that quality at Merle. The impeccable carriage and the exclusive atmosphere make a night in Lyon an unforgettable night, visiting a must!

08/06/2024: The first thing would be to be able to contact this business by telephone since it is the only solution to reserve a table! No one picks up... answering machine message announcing that the season is over and that we must take advantage of the month of August... even though it is June. Message from last year!
These are the kind of little things that show that there is a lack of rigor (which emerges through the reviews).
Lack of rigor is incompatible with managing a seafood business! And now I'm afraid of poisoning!
Too bad, we wanted to eat a lobster.
