Les meilleurs restaurants en Les Contamines-Montjoie

26/07/2026: We came during the village festival. A more challenging time for a restaurant, especially one that has to cater to a large crowd. Not disappointed at all. Impeccable service and a superb meal. We had a wonderful time!

14/07/2026: We came one evening, a party of five. We arrived at 7:45 pm… our food was ordered at 8:30 pm, okay, it was busy… and served at 9:25 pm… I'll let you look at the photos of the plates. Roasted Camembert €18 (tiny and I doubt it was Camembert, 2 slices of sausage, 1 slice of cured ham, and we had to ask for potatoes because they were forgotten) Tagliatelle Bérangère €16 (tasteless) Cordon bleu, coquillettes €17 (generous portion but the coquillettes were overcooked) Bavette steak €24 (okay, nothing special) No more steak knives at 9:30 pm!! Seriously!! They really need to rethink their kitchen organization! The two young waiters are doing their best and running around everywhere, good luck to them because the season has only just begun! In conclusion, the management is nonexistent, and this is reflected in the restaurant, which is otherwise well-located and pleasant. NO, we will not be returning.

17/08/2026: A very warm welcome. I highly recommend the blueberry crepes. Absolutely delicious!

13/06/2026: A cute cabin in the mountains right next to Col de Joly, which is a stunning view point. The food was simple compared to other cabins, but they took into account our personal food preferences. The owners helped us find a solution to a hiking problem that we had to face the day after our overnight stay due to snow, and ended up giving us a ride to the nearby village because we couldn't find a solution. The shower and toilet are connected to the bedroom, which helped when it rained, but the equipment room is separate from the bedroom, which makes it difficult to bring equipment, especially since the equipment room is locked at night. There are 2 shower cubicles and one toilet cubicle inside one of them, and it's a shame to use the wifi, which is only used for the credit card payment system, and it's a shame there's no cell phone reception. The view is stunning

30/07/2026: Nothing better for a bit of peace and quiet after a long day. Top-notch service and staff, excellent ice cream, aperitifs, meals... I highly recommend Le Glacier.

23/07/2026: I came looking for a Savoyard dish and I left with a full stomach. The meal used only local products and it was well worth the wait. I recommend it!

12/04/2026: On the eve of closing time, the food was deplorable; we were there to finish the leftovers, and there was no more bread. We weren't warned. The dish was served cold 😭. Why not offer discounts to make up for the disappointment?

03/04/2026: Poke bowl with rice that must have been three days old, stale bread, homemade dehydrated blueberry pie that had probably been sitting in the fridge for three days—in short, bad… very bad…
