08/04/2026: I discovered Le Raj Mahal during a dinner with friends one Sunday evening. We received a very warm welcome from the friendly, smiling, and attentive staff.
The meal is served as separate courses, allowing each person to choose their own plate. I really appreciated this approach, as well as the quality of the dishes, which I found delicious and well-prepared.
All of this is offered at reasonable prices, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. A truly excellent restaurant that I highly recommend, and where I will gladly return.
27/03/2026: The service is simply excellent. The waiter is really kind and attentive.
As for the food, whether it's the main dishes or the cheese naan sandwiches, there's no better place in Lyon (in my opinion).
You can go there without hesitation.
I've been there about six times and I've only had very good experiences!

19/04/2026: Another excellent evening spent at Penjab! It's always a pleasure to eat at this restaurant, whether for their incredibly warm welcome or for the consistently delicious dishes! And of course, let's not forget the mango lassi!
13/04/2026: On our first visit to Lyon, we discovered this restaurant during a tour of Vieux Lyon. What a lucky find! We were immediately impressed by the menu, the staff was incredibly welcoming, and the food was simply fantastic. As a special surprise, the waiter even brought us a delicious vegetarian eggplant appetizer on the house. We will definitely be back!

21/04/2026: I ordered a dish for the first time and I wasn't disappointed. It was delicious and very generous. I ordered a cheese naan with my order, and the manager kindly added another cheese naan to my bag. I had a wonderful meal. I'm completely satisfied. I can't comment on the atmosphere because I didn't eat in the restaurant. But the food and service were excellent. The gentleman was very kind and pleasant. I will definitely be back. 🙏🏼

23/03/2026: We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The welcome and service were exceptional, the dishes were delicious, very fresh, and served immediately (a rarity in an Indian restaurant). Hygiene and attention to detail were impeccable, and the decor was beautiful. The owner took the time to chat with us at the end of his shift. This is a restaurant that truly prioritizes the customer experience. It's a rare find indeed. It's worth noting that this isn't a place for stressed or rushed people, which is all the better.
09/03/2026: Food lovers, go and discover this place run by a charming, passionate, and engaging couple. It's delicious. The lady was incredibly attentive, and the gentleman delighted our taste buds. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant with very light background music.

11/04/2026: I've been eating there for several years and honestly, I've never been disappointed, quite the opposite. The welcome is always warm and friendly, the food is excellent, and the place is quiet and family-run. I came back tonight with my cousins to introduce them to it, and honestly, 10/10! They loved it. I highly and sincerely recommend this establishment to everyone; you won't regret it :)
10/04/2026: Honestly, the best Indian food I've ever had! The portions are generous and so flavorful, everything is perfectly seasoned. We left our plates completely empty.
You can't beat the quality for the price! A special mention goes to the staff and the gentleman at the front of the house who was incredibly attentive and always available. A huge thank you! 🫶🏽 Whether with family, friends, or even colleagues, this restaurant is a gem.

01/04/2026: Excellent food, generous portions that I had to take home a doggy bag. Contrary to some reviews, the restaurant is clean and the service is fast, the welcome is warm, and the food is truly delicious. Eat well for a reasonable price; don't hesitate, they're worth a visit.
31/03/2026: We arrived somewhat unexpectedly, without a reservation, in a fairly large group of students, and were warmly welcomed for the last evening of our trip.
This small restaurant, rather unassuming from the outside, really surprised us: the food was excellent and the atmosphere very pleasant. I especially enjoyed the white wine, which was truly delicious, as well as the cheese naan with its sauces. And the desserts were delicious too. Thank you for the lovely evening! 🌞

26/03/2026: I went there one evening with friends for a pleasant get-together over a nice meal. The time was certainly enjoyable, but I wouldn't say I had a wonderful meal, which seemed to be the general consensus. The appetizers were uninteresting, and some of the dishes were very mediocre (for example, the meatballs were extremely dry). Generally speaking, the meat was never tender. I tried everything, and out of all the choices, only two or three dishes were decent, but nothing special.
The price (€20.90) is reasonable considering the portion size, but I would have preferred a much better Indian dish in a normal portion.
We won't be back :(
22/03/2026: The dishes are varied and very good. There's something for everyone, vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike... We were there for a birthday celebration 🎂. We received a very warm welcome. Perfect for large groups 🥳. Excellent value for money 😉. I highly recommend it 🤩
