10/10/2026: When visiting European cities, we always try to make the most of the local cuisine and discover the traditional flavors of the region. So, in France, we're sticking to our plan to explore French cuisine 👨‍🍳🍽️🇫🇷, even though our junior occasionally complains that he "could use some sushi" 🍣 😅. Fortunately, Niçoise cuisine (cuisine nissarde) is a unique blend of French and Italian influences, so you can find something to satisfy fans of the ever-popular Italian cuisine 🇮🇹. One evening, we stumbled upon Illia Pasta – a small, unassuming place whose culinary concept revolves around fresh pasta and Mediterranean ingredients. No grand signage, designer interiors, or restaurant hype. It's a place you can easily miss, but definitely worth a visit! The place is small and very simply furnished. We didn't have a reservation, so there wasn't enough room in the main room, but we got a table in a sort of converted vestibule at the entrance to the gate. The stone paving stones underfoot gave the place a slightly raw, street-style feel. It had its own charm! 😊 The service was friendly and efficient. We arrived around 9:00 PM, so some of the menu items had already sold out, but luckily everyone found something they liked. We ordered pasta with seafood 🦐🦑🐙🐟, the classic Bolognese della Mamma, and scallops with porcini mushrooms 🍄‍🟫. All the dishes were fresh, hot, aromatic, and simply delicious. No unnecessary frills, but with good ingredients and flavor that speaks for itself. The portions weren't huge, but they were just right for us. And to top it all off, a delicious tiramisu! Illia Pasta is a prime example of how unassuming places can offer more culinary joy than many establishments with grand ambitions. If you're craving good, fresh pasta in the heart of historic Nice (Vieux-Nice), it's worth a visit. We left satisfied, and so did Junior, and that's quite a recommendation! 🍝🇮🇹

28/09/2026: We ended up in this restaurant by a coincidence, and it turned out to be the highlight of our evening. We were welcomed very warmly by a kind man (I suppose he was the owner?), he seated us with a smile and made us feel at home. Likewise, the server was also super warm and radiated positive atmosphere. The pizza was thin and we absolutely loved it. The cheese and all the other ingredients were out of this world - fresh and so flavourful! The combination of toppings was perfectly balanced, the chefs surely knew what they were doing when compiling this menu. On top of that, the restaurant hosted its own music performer, which made the French vibe complete. It was in this restaurant that I learned the phrase “Je suis au paradis!”

16/05/2026: A beautiful, welcoming little place, with delicious piadina dough and truly fillings! The owner welcomed us with his signature Apulian focaccia. He and his wife were incredibly friendly and charming. Recommended for a relaxing and tasty break.

18/08/2026: Good pizza, but the price increase is excessive. I ordered a "Cannibale" pizza, and it went from €11 to €12.50, without the prices being updated on their website. I was simply presented with a fait accompli. The pizza's ingredients have also changed; the mushrooms have been removed, so I ended up with a MORE EXPENSIVE pizza with FEWER INGREDIENTS. Furthermore, the "buy 1, get 1 free" offer seems to have ended. The prices have become exorbitant for pizzas with fewer toppings, and the value for money has become VERY poor. I strongly advise against ordering from them.

13/10/2026: Very welcoming manager and pizza made exactly as you want it. Just ask. Other dishes also available: salads, spaghetti bolognese, paninis...

20/09/2026: I had the ribeye steak with a glass of red wine offered by the host. Excellent service and the food was very generous. Very pleasant atmosphere! I'll be back.

03/08/2026: We went for coffee this morning. €4.70 for two coffees... We didn't realize it was on the Promenade des Anglais. Furthermore, the owner spoke inappropriately to his waiter in front of the customers.

11/10/2026: One of the dishes ordered was carbonara, but unfortunately it had nothing to do with a real carbonara, no real flavor, no sauce, just a useless white liquid at the end of the dish, bad... so be careful if you're thinking of ordering it, it's not great.

14/08/2026: Breakfast overlooking the port of Nice. We came for a simple breakfast and found everything you could want: good coffee, creamy cappuccino, croissants, and pain au chocolat... basically, we started with the idea of ​​a quick breakfast and ended up really enjoying it! 😋 But the real surprise was the prices, especially considering the location: €1.70 for a coffee and €3.50 for a cappuccino. In Nice, on the port, and in such a pleasant place, I honestly wasn't expecting it! 👏 The place is in a truly fantastic location, perfect for sitting quietly, gazing at the port, and starting the day slowly. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Good quality, very fair prices, and a splendid location. When you find a place like this, you just have to come back! ☕🥐❤️

22/09/2026: The pasta was good though the pizza was just OK, the chorizo was a bit sparse and sliced too thinly, and there was a bit too much cheese. The service though was top notch - attentive, efficient and very friendly, so all in all we were happy we decided to eat here.

02/05/2026: I stayed for a week in this magnificent 5-star hotel. The staff were exceptional, attentive to everyone's every need, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The spa was outstanding, and the rooftop terrace was lovely with its unobstructed view of Nice and the sea, bathed in sunshine—very pleasant indeed. The food was fresh and prepared to order right in front of you. The pool was clean, and the customer service was wonderful. A truly excellent stay; I highly recommend it! 😍😍😍

13/03/2026: "Italian-style tartare" doesn't just mean putting the minced steak on the plate; I've never seen such a sloppy job. The rest of the menu is okay, nothing special.
