05/09/2026: Incomprehensible welcome and absurd logic… On Friday, September 4th at 6:50 PM (for a 7:00 PM opening), I arrived to request a table for two. The hostess told me to come back at 7:30 PM. I asked her if the establishment opened at 7:30 PM, and she replied that it didn't, but that there were "no more seats available." I said goodbye and left. Between the contradictory excuses and the complete lack of customer service, the experience ended before I even had a chance to try the food. The restaurant's reputation cannot excuse such contempt for the customer from the moment I walk in the door. Besides France, I've traveled extensively in several European countries, Canada, and the USA, and this is the first time I've encountered such behavior. Update following the restaurant owner's response: Hello, Your response only confirms the misunderstanding I pointed out in my review. When I arrived at 6:50 p.m., there was only one person behind the counter. I asked for a table for two. She asked for my first name, which I gave her, and then simply said, "Come back at 7:30 p.m." At no point did she explicitly say, "I'm reserving a table for you at 7:30 p.m." or "A table for two is reserved in your name." This is precisely where the problem lies. You now claim that a table was "reserved" for me and that you even refused service to other customers for me. If that was indeed the intention, it was up to your staff to make that clear to me. A customer cannot possibly know that an invitation to return at a certain time constitutes a firm reservation, especially when they have just been told there are no more tables available. Therefore, I am not "dishonest" because I did not return at 7:30 p.m. I simply interpreted the situation in accordance with what I had been told there, and I had no explicit confirmation of a reservation. As for your public remark that "traveling" has made me dishonest, it is particularly inappropriate. I recounted a personal experience, without inventing any facts and without presuming to judge your cuisine, since I have not had the opportunity to try it. You are, of course, free to disagree with my opinion and to explain your version of events. However, this does not give you the right to publicly label a customer "dishonest" because they recounted an experience you disliked. For us, everything is five-star, and if you're ever in Bannalec, I urge you to stop by. Now for the negatives: the owner is about as friendly as a prison guard—the first time I've ever seen anything like it, it was awful—and she couldn't even be bothered to cut the pizza with a pizza cutter when I asked. The linguine was swimming in an astronomical amount of oil. €20 for pasta with cherry tomatoes, three pine nuts, and a few pieces of salmon... And the desserts were really mediocre. We didn't even finish the panna cotta; there was no vanilla in it, and the "strawberry coulis" was a kind of very sweet syrup, like the kind you get on a strawberry soda at a bar—no actual fruit. €55 for that is highway robbery. We eat in whatever position we want. Pesto pasta is pesto pasta, not pasta swimming in oil. I finished the plate so it wouldn't end up in the bin. I assure you, your salmon lunguine is poor quality. For €20, you could use a real salmon fillet, not a few measly pieces. The recipe is bad by default. To give Google users an idea: there was so much oil at the bottom of the plate that I could drink it by gulping it down by tilting the plate. It wasn't appetizing, but at least it kept it from ending up in the gutter...

29/03/2026: Excellent service from Géraud in the dining room and David in the kitchen. The buffet was varied and plentiful. Attention to detail was evident in the service provided. Life is wonderful. I discovered a beautiful holiday destination. In summer, it must be truly extraordinary. The accommodations at the sandcastle are also well-suited. Comfortable bedding. Spacious and functional kitchen.
