08/07/2025: BRILLIANT! We arrived in Crevoux by chance on a Sunday afternoon. An old-fashioned mountain village. What a beautiful place to relax after a hike. Terrace at the foot of the mountains, splendid view. A drink and even an ice cream :) Back in the evening for the menu... with a view of the sunset (the terrace was sheltered from the wind, it was perfect). Delicious! With local products (kid, cheese, etc.), unusual combinations of finesse, and precise cooking. Thank you for this wonderful moment.... Check in advance that the establishment is open.....

15/12/2025: December 14, 2025. I still missed the waiter who constantly teases you because you only had €10 in cash. I've never seen anything like that in any of the refuges I've been to. Not noticing the signs at the start of the trail that said "no credit/debit cards accepted," we asked if we could order something to split for that amount. (Which, incidentally, was available: polenta with butter and parmesan cheese.) From there, the first jokes (ignored) began, with a refrain of "I'll take care of it, we'll see, we can work something out." He sat us down and shortly after, without saying anything, brought some plates. From there, a constant sneering and banter that made us feel less uncomfortable than more, almost like we were begging. "What's life like for the poor?" "Who washes the dishes between the two of us?" All this in front of the other tables. In the end, it turned out we could pay with Satispay (even though we'd already asked for it before, but they refused because they said there was no signal. In fact, the Wi-Fi worked right away). The best part was that we could have easily ordered an appetizer, main course, dessert, and coffee, thus spending triple the amount, but instead they chose to constantly mock two customers who wanted to come back another time and spend much more, just to thank what seemed like a genuine kindness. Unfortunately, it was kindness disguised as rudeness, because, aside from the constant teasing, if you tell you we only have €10, let us sit down, and then bring us a €16 dish, then you're really acting in bad faith. I didn't want to raise my voice at that point because I was already too embarrassed to say, "Here's the agreed-upon €10, let him add the €6." So, thank goodness, Satispay was available. And since I'm not dishonest, I paid what was due. Evidently you hadn't spoken. So, another tease. Anyway, all it took for me to hear the waitress say "Enough, Dad," after more constant banter before payment, was for me to realize there was already some discomfort here. You tried to get too familiar, you teased me the whole time, you gave a clear lesson in how to treat customers in front of relatives, and now you've caused the (albeit beautiful) refuge where you work to get a negative review. My sincere compliments.

18/01/2026: Best restaurant in the area! Excellent food served by a passionate and welcoming team, right on the shores of three lakes. We've been coming here for years, always great, go for it without hesitation.

30/01/2026: The welcome was very friendly and professional. The rooms are simple but clean and spacious enough. The manager kindly upgraded us, as the hotel wasn't full outside of school holidays. The restaurant is pleasant, and the food is good. Breakfast is very good. We'll be back.

27/01/2026: We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend with our 4-year-old daughter. Everything was perfect: cleanliness (of the room and common areas), welcome, service, location (just a few meters from the chairlift and the ESF children's ski school), restaurant (from breakfast to dinner, everything was excellent). Don't change a thing. We will gladly return.

04/02/2026: More limited evening menu than on offer at lunch. Bone in beef tagliatelle, polenta was aweful. Lasagne was no different to shop bought. Overall very disappointing for the price paid. UPDATE Since posting my review, we’ve unfortunately received the long, aggressive, and insulting response. Further to that, the owner has also decided to abuse our data to stalk us in a call and texts which is deeply worrying. Everyone should be entitled to express their opinion and if the food and/or service is not up to expectations, they should be allowed to leave an honest review without receiving abuse of any kind. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a warm and refined atmosphere, where the aroma of traditional dishes makes you feel immediately at home. The food is simply exceptional: top-quality ingredients, authentic flavors, and generous portions. Each dish speaks of the mountains, with traditional recipes prepared with great passion and attention to detail. From the homemade starters to the rich and flavorful main courses, to the irresistible desserts, everything is truly impeccable. The service deserves a special mention: the friendly, smiling, and always available staff make you feel pampered from start to finish. All this is accompanied by a splendid view that makes the experience even more magical. A restaurant that conquers the heart (and the palate) and makes you want to return even before you've left.
