27/03/2026: We went to Auberge de César on the recommendation of a staff member at our hotel, and we're so glad we did! Thanks to Léa for the tip 🙂 The restaurant is located in a side street overlooking the port of L'Herbaudière. We didn't get to enjoy the view at night, but we imagine it's fantastic during the day! The restaurant has a really warm atmosphere, and the hostess is very welcoming. We felt completely at ease throughout our meal. We had a wonderful meal: cod for my wife, and monkfish cooked in a wood-fired oven for me. Profiteroles and chocolate fondant for dessert. We highly recommend it!

06/04/2026: I can't comment on the food as we unfortunately didn't eat there. The staff seemed overwhelmed, many tables were empty, but alas, the waiter kept us waiting outside, shuffling us from left to right and vice versa depending on whether we had a reservation or not. I had mentioned that we wanted a table inside (9 pm in early April), the waiter agreed, and then after a 30-minute wait, he said, "I can seat you outside if you like"... A long wait for little reward, with less than optimal management. Bring on the spring tides of July and August!

29/12/2025: We had a very good meal there; the menu was decent and affordable. A bit cold in the dining room, which was a shame!

22/09/2025: Passing through Vendée for vacation two years later, still as good and high-quality as ever, the owner is as pleasant as ever. Regarding the pizza reviews, people criticize your pizzas; they prefer Domino's pizzas, which have no flavor, are very expensive, and are not very topped because they're measured by the gram. Your pizzas are excellent. My favorite is the salmon one. (And the five cheese one with honey.) 😉 Always a place for our basset hound. Keep it up, don't change a thing.

06/02/2026: A really great restaurant! It has a friendly atmosphere, and the good vibes are evident both in the food and the dining room. The vegetarian pizza was excellent and well-balanced. And the half salad, half pizza deal was fantastic. A good beer to top it all off. In short, we'll be back to try the desserts.

02/03/2026: Excellent find! The pizzas were delicious and very generous: out of six people (adults and teenagers), no one managed to finish their pizza… and there was still enough left over to enjoy the next day 😄 I highly recommend it. We ordered takeout. One small point for improvement: the messaging system for placing orders gets very busy quickly; you sometimes have to keep trying.
