30/03/2024: Glad to have come... ...and to have left. We have wanted to come there for several years, but without booking, impossible. So, for my son's birthday I booked several weeks in advance. Difficult reservation: having called at a consistent time, no answer, the answering machine telling me that I would be called back. So I leave a message. After several weeks, nothing. So I call back, I'm lucky to come across a human. We book the reservation. Despite this, I was asked to call back in a few days to confirm... The day of the birthday arrives, lovers of Japanese cuisine, we are so happy to finally be able to taste at Tanpopo, so famous. So we arrive a little early, we see an old gentleman open. Logical conclusion: the restaurant is open :) Except that as we approached, the person said to us: “what time is it!?” (without hello, nothing). Politely, I replied: “It’s 7:20 p.m.” (having booked at 7 p.m.). “No, it’s 18!” A little disappointed at not being invited in, we went for a walk in St Malo, lucky you, it's beautiful. We come back, and there the gentleman: “You’re late!” Home definitely to be seen again... A bit of a mess at reception, empty bottles,... The dishes are good, but nothing extraordinary or remarkable. A very average presentation. Very tough hot meat. All diluted for 3h30!!! Incredible waiting time between dishes, for a waiter with no enthusiasm and who doesn't know them. A dilapidated, poorly maintained room with mismatched and broken crockery :( A real disappointment. Very surprised by the ratings given on the internet. The Gault and Millau classification really does not seem objective and harms its reputation. With Michelin, you are never disappointed.

09/03/2024: I love it, I love it! The finesse of the dishes. Their variety. Discovery in each dish and even in each bite. The presentation of the dishes by the host, ultra precise. Value for money

12/03/2024: Very nice, very plentiful but very bad. Spring rolls: rice, omelette and meat (no option with soy sprouts!). Infamous raw tuna: crumbled, pale gray and placed on a bed of rice!! No flavor. (apparently tuna purchased vacuum packed). We barely ate anything. My friends who tried the "noodles" didn't like it at all either...

24/03/2024: I rarely give bad ratings, but the delivery service is catastrophic. We ordered on Ubereat (platform which works very well) and after 1 hour of waiting for delivery, they made an error in the order (order with 1+1 free offer, they forgot the product offered). Their number is chargeable and what's more, the voice service doesn't work: it's impossible to reach the restaurant. No returns via the ubereat platform either. We will no longer recommend Sushi Shop, although we particularly like their makis. Better to avoid ordering online for this restaurant, and avoid unpleasant surprises!

14/03/2024: Several times they forget a large part of my order on Uber.

05/04/2024: Very poor service, I placed an online order for click & collect and came at the scheduled time only to be asked to wait an additional twenty minutes, however with a commercial gesture. However part of the order was forgotten so I had to come back to collect it. Despite the commercial gesture, I believe that a long wait and forgetting part of the order are not compensated by a free can. In addition, the service leaves something to be desired with a nonchalant person who does not say hello or goodbye and who does not apologize for forgetting and waiting. I will not go there again and do not recommend at all if it is the same person at the counter.

15/03/2024: frozen yakitori skewers when ordering to take away we still got some for €80 of order, we could have expected better! Quite long waiting time

30/03/2024: Don't be in a hurry to eat your sushi! I came to the restaurant at 7:40 p.m. to order my sushi which I picked up, I was told that in 25 minutes they would be ready and that I would be called. 40 minutes later, still no news, so I decide to go back and I am informed that they are out of rice, a shame for the Sushi restaurant! So they haven't started preparing my order and don't know how long it will take. So I wait so that finally 1h30, after placing the order, no commercial gesture is made on their part. So I pay for my order, and only then does the owner tell me that I can leave with a free drink, useful, when I have just paid €70 for Sushi with drinks for a 1.5 hour wait…. I really don't recommend it, because after an hour and a half of waiting, the sushi isn't even good.
