16/08/2026: An excellent place where delicious Japanese dishes meet Breton architecture. Our meals were delicious and flavorful, the service was quick, the staff were incredibly friendly, and Mom was delighted. My bento was beautiful, and the fish literally melted in my mouth. Our taste buds were won over. We'll be back! 🌹🌟👍

20/08/2026: There's no denying it, every time we stay a few days in Saint-Malo, we have to go to Tanpopo. The menu changes daily depending on what's available at the market and the choices of this couple who run the restaurant. That's why there's always a pleasant surprise. It's absolutely delicious. €25 for a Bento with dessert is, for a truly authentic Japanese restaurant, more than reasonable. Well, see you very soon. We went back to Tanpopo again. The excellence is still there, with the same delight in a delicious meal. The price hasn't changed and remains very reasonable for such high quality. Thank you, we'll be back again and again. The Loiseau Family Well, here we are in February 2023, and we're back. An amazing value for money for a Bento at €28 all-inclusive, plus a ramen soup and a two-chocolate dessert. Gault & Millau awards this a chef's table. Magnificent, with very friendly service and a Japanese cook whose kindness and skill are truly touching. See you soon! And here we are again for lunch, with the Bento box as always a delightful surprise. Well, no suspense here, we had another wonderful meal. A marvelous establishment.

14/08/2026: A fantastic discovery at Tanpopo! The tasting menu was truly excellent: each dish was delicious, original, and expertly prepared. The ingredients were high-quality, and the variety of dishes throughout the meal, without any repetition, was quite impressive. You can really appreciate the work that went into each plate. A wonderful place that I highly recommend! Plus, the couple who run the restaurant are absolutely lovely and very welcoming!

18/08/2026: The best sushi in Rennes! Excellent value for money. The fact that it's exclusively takeaway allows them to focus on what matters most: quality and sushi preparation. To give you an idea, the maki rolls are so big they don't even fit in the sauce container...! In short, I loved it :)

24/05/2026: Amazing experience 🤩 The service was top-notch! And the place was clean! It was lovely to see 🙃 The atmosphere was incredible! The music was just right, very relaxing 😌 However, I found the banquette a bit uncomfortable; the backrest was very upright, which quickly put me off my appetite... The welcome was fantastic, and the meal I ordered was delicious 😋 I really enjoyed the coleslaw ❤️ However, the chicken skewers were a bit bland... But the beef and Gouda yakitori were exquisite!! The sushi platters looked amazing! 😍 Thank you!

26/08/2026: 30-minute delay on the order, zero gesture of goodwill, and a smile was optional... First and last time for me.

11/08/2026: Two-hour wait, still being prepared, not delivered. Called twice, same lie, "I'll send it right away." Forty minutes later, on the second call, the person on the phone hung up on me the first time, without even having time to say hello. When I called back, realizing her lie wouldn't work a second time, she used a condescending tone. They were two different women; Mélanie was more respectful than the other. No communication whatsoever. It's 10 PM, we haven't eaten, and on top of that, the service is completely nonexistent. No apology on the phone until the cancellation. It's truly shameful. Supposedly due to a "lack of delivery drivers." We know they just have to bend down. 10 PM, call to cancel the order. "Did you receive the order cancellation?" "Yes, yes, ma'am!" 10:12 PM Magic! We received a text message saying the restaurant dispatched an Uber Eats driver and our order had just been picked up. We immediately informed the driver that the order would be refused because it had been canceled with the restaurant. They didn't hesitate to send a driver even though the order had been canceled, both by phone and through their online form. This is hardly reassuring. We ordered at 8:00 PM, and the freshness of the order, which, let's remember, was fish, is questionable. It's not very encouraging. We have requested and are awaiting a refund for the order. We need it immediately.

11/08/2026: Whatever you do, don't order from their website. The woman completely forgot about my order; I called, but they didn't answer the phone.

20/07/2026: Just steps away from Aoi Thai Spicy, for an equally incredible alternative. Generous and excellent dishes, halal cuisine, amazing Thai tea, thank you 🙏

21/05/2026: It's simple, the food is the same as in Thailand, and even the rather simple atmosphere is great (personally). Some reviews give it a bad rating because they find the service so-so, but honestly, they're very nice, just not super outgoing, but you don't need that for excellent food! The interior is small, but the prices are small too, haha. I recommend it 1000%!

The tea is marvelous, and they even let you taste it before you buy. I recommend it 1000%! I'll definitely be back! Go for it without hesitation! A truly lovely team! 🌟
