14/01/2025: Ce repas de réveillon du 31 décembre était vraiment excellent. Des mets choisis d’une grande qualité.Présentation de véritable œuvre d’art qui vous font saliver. Un subtil mélange des saveurs. Vraiment un très très bon moment pour franchir la nouvelle année.

28/12/2024: Habitués aux sorties en couple au restaurant, nous avons fréquenté un nombre important d’établissements dans la région centre. Je dois dire que celui qui nous a apporté le plus de satisfaction, tant au niveau de la qualité des mets que des services est bien Le Médicis à Blois. Les propositions sont originales et délicates, tout ceci accompagné de vins locaux ou d’autres régions de bonne facture. Un grand merci donc au chef et à son équipe. Je n’oublie pas non plus le service et les conseils adéquats du personnel. Un grand merci aux propriétaires.

28/09/2024: Price-quality is excellent here. From both the food and the wine. To be completely honest, we thought their sister restaurant 'L'oratoire' was slightly better in terms of quality and service. Perhaps that was also because we were upstairs. The acoustics here are not very optimal and the light was very sharp and shrill. That was better downstairs.

23/01/2025: Conclusion: If you choose the vegetarian option or don't want/can't take wine accompaniment, you'll pay a lot more; But no one tells you that beforehand. In detail: It's been a few months since we were at the "Petit Honfleur"; After rediscovering the receipt on my desk, I wanted to write down what we experienced there so that other guests could get an idea. We will remember it in a negative way. We were recommended the restaurant by our accommodation, but were warned that the owner can be unconventional. So we weren't surprised that he gave us a rustic treatment when we made a reservation for the following evening when the fully reserved but still sparsely occupied restaurant opened. The simple dining room is not very large, you sit right next to each other with the other guests. The next day we were warmly looked after by the boss and ordered the menu twice, once with wine accompaniment. Since the boss told us that the menu was also available as a vegetarian version, we took the vegetarian version, which was only relevant for the main course. The vegetarian version ultimately consisted of the fact that for the main course with fish, both plates were identical in all components - including the quantity - while the vegetarian plate only left out the fish. The quality of the dishes was impeccable, and the wine pairing also harmonized very well. The surprise then came with the bill: the menu was billed at 46 EUR, for the vegetarian version each course was charged individually "à la carte", which then totaled 53 EUR - mind you: everything is identical, except that the main course The most expensive component was omitted, which means that the amount of work required for the deviation is likely to tend towards zero. Nobody had told us beforehand that this was how we would be billed, and it wasn't immediately clear from the menu (probably one should have figured this out given strict legal interpretation: there is just the specified menu and otherwise "à la carte" dishes... ). The fact that the wine accompaniment was available for a fair EUR 21, while the 0.2 liter juice bottle cost a whopping EUR 6.50, also left us with a stale feeling. If the friendly boss had come to the billing, we might have politely questioned the calculation of the menus. However, the owner appeared, who we had repeatedly noticed over the course of the evening as being very rude in his dealings with us and other guests. Since we were on vacation and aren't native speakers, we didn't feel like having a discussion with him; The reactions to critical reviews here speak for themselves. We wanted to avoid something like that. Why only one star despite the good food and the friendly boss? If you want to spend a pleasant evening at a restaurant, you don't want to deal with a creep who is better at doing tasks that don't require contact with people. That already clouds the picture; After all, we weren't in a snack bar, but in an institution that wants to offer gastronomy with a certain standard. What is crucial, however, is that we were misled when it came to the calculation; This ultimately destroyed any trust we had. Since the restaurant is apparently always busy, you can afford something like that, but we don't need it, especially since there are alternative options for good food in Blois.

15/01/2025: We had a very pleasant lunch. This restaurant is a real pleasure, local produce, fresh cuisine, colorful and tasty. We were very well received, the place is clean and pretty. I highly recommend
