24/02/2026: An iconic place steeped in history, but one that relies a little too heavily on its fame. The setting transports you to another time and has seen many famous figures pass through its doors. A glimpse of the kitchen upon arrival raises doubts about impeccable cleanliness. The upstairs dining room, meanwhile, seems abandoned. The service is adequate but could be more friendly and attentive. As for the dishes, the prices are excessive, but we fully embraced the experience with two omelets and cider. We were happy to try this emblematic dish. A once-in-a-lifetime experience. It's a shame the staff doesn't put more heart into their work.
24/02/2026: I've heard that La Mère Poulard was a Norman place to be visited and it is true: This restaurant is a must place to be visit to achieve a unforgettable visit to Mt. Saint Michael. This is an experience, as you taste tradition and history on your dish. I've had an excellent service and a delicious omelette while looking the granite of the site and an ojival arch. Best after 2:00 pm because is less crowded and you'll have time to admire the decoration including some art nouveau posters and celebrities photos who had visited the place in the past.

11/02/2026: Delicious food & such warm & friendly staff! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I had the pork shoulder with Camembert sauce & mashed potatoes. The pork was to die for! Soo yummy. My family had the braised beef & mussels. All wonderful! I highly recommend!

03/03/2026: I stayed here while on a tour. It was conveniently located right in front of the bus stop for Mont Saint-Michel. The twin room had narrow beds, so it was difficult to turn over. There was no bathtub, but there was a small refrigerator. I was able to open two suitcases at the same time by moving the table and chairs. Mont Saint-Michel was not visible from the room. While convenient for tourists, I felt it was just an ordinary hotel with no special features.
25/02/2026: A pleasant and comfortable stay. Excellent staff, excellent room. Excellent breakfast.

10/11/2025: I don't understand the bad reviews. We arrived unexpectedly at lunchtime today, a group of 10. We were very warmly welcomed and served. The meal was very good, and the prices weren't exorbitant like in some other establishments at Mont-Saint-Michel. If we're ever in the area again, we'll know where to eat.
09/11/2025: Contrary to previous reviews, the welcome was warm and very friendly. The galettes were excellent, the service was fast, and the atmosphere was great. The value for money was perfect.
We had a wonderful time.

24/11/2025: We came for lunch on Sunday the 23rd. It was good, but nothing amazing. I don't know if it was the eggs mayonnaise or the ribeye steak, but I've had stomach pains for almost two days now; it's unbearable. I think there's a problem with hygiene or the freshness of the food. I won't be going back.
15/11/2025: The quality is acceptable considering the location.
However, the staff's friendliness leaves much to be desired… Laughing when you ask for more bread is disrespectful to customers.

15/11/2025: We tried to grab some food but the host was rude and looked to be a racist. He had a big smile with other guests speaking French but yelled at us. Trust there are other shops on this island loving to serve you even you cannot speak French.
11/11/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant but were very disappointed. It was absolutely not good value for money. In the "crêpe complète" (a type of savory crepe), the slice of ham was clearly the cheapest available, and the galettes were sparsely filled. The service needs improvement; the waiter, while bringing the plates, asked, "Who ordered what?"... (and I won't even mention the tone and nonchalance). There was a long wait.
And to top it all off, there was no option to have coffee at the end of the meal ("We don't serve coffee," they said...).

28/02/2026: I came for lunch today with my family. To be honest, it was my first time eating at a restaurant on Mont Saint-Michel. The welcome was fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The service was impeccable and quick. The quality was excellent, no complaints whatsoever. And I would like to sincerely thank the young woman who took a photo of my family and me. I will definitely be back.
28/02/2026: Food was made quickly, we got pizza that was burnt but the kind staff brought us right away different one without charging us anything in addition. The food was overall fine, but quite expensive which is expected in the tourist destination. The closest city is around 40 minutes by foot, so for us it was an okay choice.

16/09/2024: Poor service, barely mediocre food. Even though it wasn’t very busy we waited 15 minutes before a waiter came to take our order. Then servers forgot to bring bottled and tap water that was asked for, and left our dirty finished plates in front of us for at least another 15-20 minutes and never brought us our desserts that were included in our “formule”, to the point where we needed to leave, so we took it to go. I would never go again
16/09/2024: A FUIR, A ce demander s'il y avait pas une caméra cachée.... je ne donne jamais d'avis mais là c'est vraiment horrible.
Déjà on a attendu 25 minutes avant qu'on prenne notre commande, ensuite nous avons eu les boissons, il manquait une théière pour le thé on nous a dit une théière peut faire pour deux lol le sketch pour 4 € le thé chacun peut avoir ça théière, et en plus le thé n'était pas celui qu'on avait demandé.....
Ensuite on nous demande de payer l'addition, alors que nous n'avons pas toute notre commande.
Ensuite nous avons eu les gaufres et les glaces, il manquait une glace..... Mon beau-fils on lui propose une glace café Liégeois alors qu'il avait demandé chocolat liégeois.... Il a voulu annuler sa commande on lui a dit que comme c'était payé il fallait qu'il prenne...
Mon beau-fils a pu manger sa glace mais seul à la fin.
Franchement je n'ai jamais vu ça je suis outrée, le personnel on dirait qu'il était shooté tellement ils étaient à deux à l'heure.
La personne arrive avec les deux glaces elle ne sait même plus ce qu'il présente.
Une honte..... Nous ne sommes pas des touristes nous habitons vraiment à côté et nous n'irons plus là-bas.
Dommage parce que la seule chose c'est que la vue est belle.

Non ci metterò più piede neanche a pregarmi.
13/08/2024: Abbiamo pranzato con delle ottime crêpes dolci e del buonissimo succo di mela. Bellissimo locale con travi in legno a vista situato sopra un negozio di souvenir da cui si entra, personale simpaticissimo e cibo di qualità. Da provare!!

02/06/2024: El hotel y el restaurante carecen de higiene, está todo sucio. La calidad de la comida es nefasta, completamente desaconsejable. Se aprovechan de la ubicación y de los turistas. Los otros hoteles y restaurantes de la zona son mucho mejores.
14/02/2024: Excepté une vue magnifique sur le Mont Saint Michel, côté restauration on appel cela, un attrape chinois !!!

31/08/2024: Das Au Pelerin ist sehr klein (es besteht aus der Bar und ein paar Stühlen gegenüber) aber es hat eine wunderbare zum Ort passende Atmosphäre. Vieles davon ist der Freundlichkeit des Personals geschuldet, das die Flut an Besuchern entspannt regelt. Die Preise für ein Frühstück sind für einen Touristenhotspot angemessen, daher volle Empfehlung von meiner Seite.
20/08/2024: Exactly how a snack bar should be: good food, local people, good price. I would recommend this to anyone who want a good value lunch.
