26/08/2026: Probably the best restaurant in Castellane: recommended by our hotel, a wonderful place where you can really feel the chef's enjoyment in preparing their dishes. A warm welcome, very attentive service, and superb cuisine.

29/08/2026: We were looking forward to ending our wonderful week-long vacation with a nice family meal at a restaurant, but what a disappointment!
We had to wait over an hour for an aperitif and another half hour for our meal!!
Furthermore, the prices are completely outrageous (lasagna).
We certainly won't be returning.
I do not recommend it.
27/08/2026: We stopped by chance; there were three of us, and in the end, we were all unanimous about the quality of our food, the welcome, and the service. For once, parents and children were on the same page! 😀 So, obviously, if you're a fan of frozen fries and the same old Caesar salad, you'd better steer clear because you'll be very disappointed. We sampled the tzatziki, the goat cheese salad, the perfect egg, the pork tagine, the spelt risotto with figatelli sausage, the vegetarian lasagna, the peach soup, the apricot clafoutis, and the chestnut fondant. Everyone will have understood that we ate like OGRES, but gourmet ogres. We left grateful to see a skilled artisan surrounded by a young waiter and a young assistant who are sure to be well-trained. You can't help but be impressed when the owner infuses his passion for his craft into every dish, making sure to ask his customers about their satisfaction at the end of lunch. And then, quickly, the conversation flows into a lively chat: Where are you from? What do you do for a living? And what other great places to discover? We highly recommend it to everyone. A special mention goes to the simply perfect side dishes, sauces, and seasonings!

What can I say about the mountain pass except that from arrival to departure, everything was more than perfect.
The welcome:
We arrived a day late because I got the day wrong. A thousand apologies again. It felt like we were staying with friends.
And longtime friends, given how relaxed and warm the welcome was.
The food? Dishes as simple as they were delicious. Served in generous portions. With care. Simply top-notch.
The night? The room? Bedding worthy of the finest hotels. A clean and tastefully decorated bathroom.
A night's sleep in one go.
The breakfast? Just like everything else. Perfect. Simple, good products and a welcome in the morning as warm as the day before.
A more than perfect stay. Thank you.

26/08/2026: A very disappointing restaurant. We ordered an iced tea and received peach syrup (just a tiny bit) mixed with water. The ribeye steak was of poor quality but left much to be desired. Furthermore, the prices are exorbitant; I can eat the same thing at Buffalo Grill for better quality and a more reasonable price. The fries were frozen… I definitely do not recommend it.
24/08/2026: We discovered this place during our 15-day holiday in Banon, and it quickly became our go-to spot for drinks and good food. We had so many wonderful times there!
The terrace under the trees is a real delight, with a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is fantastic: the service is always energetic and friendly, with a kind word for everyone. And what can we say about the little gesture at the end of service... a very thoughtful touch that shows the generosity of the establishment! As for the food, their mixed platters are simply excellent and delicious. If you're ever in the area, this is a place we highly recommend!

26/04/2026: A country bistro with hearty and delicious dishes! I'm vegetarian and I had a delicious vegetable tagine instead of a meat dish, which was a lovely touch (I had mentioned it beforehand; usually restaurants offer me pasta!!). This time, it was for my father's birthday, we were with family, and everyone enjoyed it! The service was also very good.
08/04/2026: This bistro is excellent, with a warm welcome (which is important), a lovely terrace, and a perfectly good meal. The food appears to be homemade with delicious, traditional dishes, and they even serve Japanese whisky, which I mention because it's quite rare. Well done!

06/07/2026: Very disappointing. I went there with friends after eating there in the spring, and it was good. But this time, perhaps due to seasonal fatigue, it was deplorable! The service was terrible; the waitress didn't listen to our needs.
03/07/2026: Very disappointed with the service. I live in Pierrevert and it had been a few years since I'd been back to this restaurant.
I loved the previous staff and I didn't know there had been a change.
I just tried to go in for a drink and after 15 minutes without anyone taking my order (even though there were very few customers), I left without ordering anything. I must have been disturbing them while they were cleaning the floors...

A friendly place we'd love to return to. We highly recommend it!

26/05/2026: Don't be put off by the exterior; the real charm is inside: very friendly staff, clean and functional room and bathroom, excellent and original cuisine, a generous and varied breakfast, and impeccable spa treatments. We loved our three days at this hotel. We'll gladly return.
21/05/2026: We had a truly heavenly stay at La Villa Borghese.
The decor might be a little dated, but that's precisely what gives the establishment its charm and authenticity.
The restaurant, La Table de Pauline, is simply excellent, worthy of a fine dining establishment: refined, sophisticated cuisine bursting with flavor.
The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and highly professional, which makes the stay even more enjoyable.
Special mention goes to the new, very spacious wellness area, where expert professionals provide divine massages. A truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
An address we wholeheartedly recommend for a stay focused on well-being and serenity.

23/08/2026: We had the Bricks, which were very good, both the ones with egg, the ones with tuna, and the ones with chicken. For our main course, we had the lemon chicken tagine, which was very good, while the chicken couscous arrived with the chicken a little undercooked, in our opinion. When we asked to cook the chicken a little longer, they said it was already cooked, but if we didn't like it, they would replace it with something else free of charge, so we opted for legumes; the dish was still good and filling.
The price was fair for the quantity and quality of the food, but we were very surprised by the cash-only option.
The place was a bit small and hot, and the fan directly above us wasn't particularly pleasant, but we at least managed to get it turned.
Finally, it's a shame the staff wasn't particularly friendly.
11/08/2026: Craving some good couscous, this place looked tempting. The sauce and vegetables were very good.
The merguez sausages were too salty and dry, probably made separately from the sauce. The wait was an hour, but the friendly waitress was working alone, and they also offer takeout. It's a shame they ran out of couscous at 9:00 PM.
The price was very reasonable, and the waitress was smiling.

09/08/2024: Vue de l intérieur en tant que serveur. Etablissement le plus SALE sur la trentaine fréquentés, ne respectant pratiquement aucune règle d hygiène. Même la buse de la machine à café n est pas nettoyé après chaque utilisation. En plus du manque d organisation. Obligé de démissionné vu que c est moi qui passe pour un âne envers la clientèle. 08/08/2024: Amazing sandwiches made in front of you from freshly baked bread and a good choice of generous tasty fillings. We had 4 types - legumes, which came with olives and walnuts and red pesto. The falafel and the mozzarella and tomato filling were excellent. My son loved the hot dog filling. Thoroughly recommend and will go back tomorrow!
