02/07/2026: A cursory level of research will demonstrate a nautical fishing rustic setting - very authentic prelude to what eventually hits the table. The proprietor and his family appear to run this tidy operation and some puckered individuals get their panties all wadded up about service - well those fuddies needn’t apply. The dishes are extreme in their rootedness in quality fresh seafood prepared lovingly simply to highlight the product. If you love food - go go go.

26/05/2026: We were a bit disappointed; we came last year and this year was nothing like it... The quality wasn't as good... and the prices were ridiculously high.
18/05/2026: Excellent Tunisian food option in Marseille. They have a set menu option for €13.50 with a main course, dessert, and mint tea, which is very generously served and worth every penny. My husband and I tried it and have no complaints. The food arrived quickly, was plentiful, and delicious!

The welcome was very warm, but the service was very (too) slow.
The dishes are of good quality (the portions are a bit small for the price), and the setting is truly sublime inside, right next to a charming bookstore attached to the restaurant.

Our only bit of criticism is that some sweet/tangy/acidic pickled cucumber or onions added to the pitta/plate would have made it EVEN better. Also, the Babaganoush could have been more smoky. However, it was all fresh and delicious!
We would 100% visit Au Falafel again🥙🧆❤️

09/04/2026: The staff, or at least one very unpleasant woman, was awful. I went into the bar to meet some friends. She didn't even say hello or anything; she just kicked me out rudely, yelling at me and saying, "But pizzas aren't served here." Okay, maybe we're not allowed to bring our own food because you cook, but I don't know. You could at least have said hello, greeted me properly, and said, "Sorry, we can't allow people with food. Why don't you cook for us?" instead of kicking me out in front of a full bar. I strongly advise against going there if you're not good at communication; you shouldn't be in a profession where you have to welcome people.
24/03/2026: Delicious food, excellent selection of organic, local, and other wines. Highly recommended.

Not the best way to welcome new customers.The friend I was with was chocked and surprised that I did not respond to it. I told her that I would write a review instead. Here we are.
