22/07/2026: Unfortunately, it was not a particularly pleasant experience. The staff was rather cold, although generally okay. We had reserved a table on the terrace, but we were surrounded by wasps. I was stung by one of them, as well as bitten by other insects, and I had to act as a shield for my little girl to prevent her from being stung too. As for the food, it was definitely not worth it. I ordered a pizza with mozzarella and prosciutto, but there was practically no mozzarella on it, and everything was extremely salty. They noticed that the wasps had taken over our table and moved us inside the restaurant, which we appreciated. Later, my husband’s fish arrived. He had asked for it grilled and served with vegetables, but it was brought fried, not properly cooked, with a portion of instant mashed potatoes and a mayonnaise-based sauce. We will not be returning.

17/07/2026: This review only covers the restaurant, as we did not stay at the hotel. On the recommendation of our hotel in Sartene, we came for dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We enjoyed fresh fish prepared with skill and at reasonable prices; we highly recommend it without hesitation.

20/09/2026: We ate pizzas there one evening. Not too crowded, little wait, beautiful sea view. Pizzas generously topped.

18/09/2026: The place is simply incredible, the atmosphere is super friendly, and the servers are lovely. An idyllic setting, honestly, with very affordable dishes right on the water's edge—the crystal-clear water is just a dream.

31/05/2026: The best Mojito in Bonifacio! Great bar concept where you can bring your own drinks. The Nutella milkshakes are excellent, the vanilla one a little less so.

15/10/2025: Hotel very well located on the port. Very good value for money. Room overlooking the sea with balcony, air-conditioned and equipped to serve coffee or tea. Very pleasant welcome by the owner who is available and attentive to the well-being of her guests. Establishment to remember and to return to.

30/08/2026: No compensation and low transparency I am currently in the villa while writing this review. I am deliberately posting this review under the hotel rather than under the residence/villa, because the booking was made through the hotel’s official website and the communication and SECURITY issue concerned our hotel reservation. I want to make sure future guests can easily find this information and be aware of what happened before making a booking. We booked this villa directly through the hotel’s official website in May for the end of August for €696.60 our stay. About two weeks before arrival, we received a WhatsApp message from someone who had our exact booking details, including our names, phone, email address,reservation number and check-in/check-out dates. We were asked to make an additional payment through a link that appeared to be related to our reservation. We later discovered it was a scam. The hotel never received the money, and we lost similar amount. What makes this especially concerning is that the SCAMMER had our actual booking information. We immediately informed the hotel and asked how this information could have been obtained. They said they were not aware of the issue. Only after we reported the scam did they add a warning to their website about fraudulent messages. The hotel says they reported the incident to the police and that there is nothing else they can do. However, despite the fact that our booking information was used to target us, they have offered us no compensation and no meaningful solution. We expected the management/team to take this seriously, investigate what happened and at least try to help the affected guests. There is also a serious lack of transparency regarding the actual costs. We paid €696.60 for the villa, around €230 per night. On top of this, we were charged an additional €65 cleaning fee. This CLEANING FEE was not clearly disclosed on the website and, importantly, was not included or mentioned in the cost breakdown of our reservation. The website looks impressive, but there is surprisingly little practical information about the villas themselves. It gives a much better impression of the hotel than of what you actually need to know when booking a villa. The villa itself is fine, but unfortunately the overall experience is not. When you combine the security incident, the approximately €700 financial loss, the complete lack of compensation or meaningful support, and the unclear additional charges, we cannot recommend this property.

27/08/2026: ⭐ Very disappointing handling of a long-standing reservation As a travel agency, we are extremely disappointed with the way Hôtel Abbartello handled the reservation of two of our clients. Their stay from 30 August to 16 September 2026 had been booked and confirmed as early as October 2025 – almost one year in advance. Nevertheless, only a few days before their arrival, the hotel cancelled the reservation due to overbooking. This is extremely difficult to understand and, from a professional point of view, simply unacceptable. When a reservation has been confirmed almost a year in advance, both guests and travel agencies must be able to rely on that commitment. What makes the situation even more disappointing is that our clients had already stayed at this hotel for two weeks in September 2023 and had enjoyed their experience. They therefore deliberately chose to return and booked well in advance to secure their preferred accommodation. Being informed just one week before their holiday that the hotel was overbooked left our clients in a very uncomfortable situation and caused unnecessary stress shortly before departure. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled has seriously damaged our confidence in the hotel. As a travel agency, it will be very difficult for us to recommend this property to future clients after such an experience. We sincerely hope the hotel takes this matter seriously, provides a proper explanation and appropriate compensation to the affected guests, and takes the necessary steps to ensure that confirmed reservations are handled more reliably in the future. A very disappointing experience, especially considering that our clients had previously been happy guests of the hotel.

17/05/2026: Incompetent and disorganized. Return flight from Figari to Caen, Corsica. Over an hour and fifteen minutes to check our luggage, apparently due to a problem with the conveyor belt and computer, but no announcement was made. In the end, our luggage wasn't loaded onto the plane. No one informed Caen airport. The cabin crew, who should certainly have been aware of the situation, didn't inform us either... the suitcases might arrive in a week, and we'll have to come and collect them in Caen, a four-hour round trip.

16/05/2026: Flight cancelled at the last minute, so far so good, safety first. After a two-hour wait, two seats finally became available. After 10 minutes, we were asked to give up our seats to two supposedly disabled people who only stayed for five minutes. Like many others, I lay down on the stopped baggage carousel. Suddenly, without any warning, the carousels started moving again. I've had back pain ever since, and I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis. Thanks to the staff at the Corsican Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
