21/02/2026: We came as a family for dinner, and this charming little bistro, with its typical and simple character, won us over! The service was friendly and attentive (we ordered a starter to share, which was served beautifully presented on two separate plates!), the food was high quality, they offered local beers, and the chef even came to say good evening – it was fantastic!

14/02/2026: We ate there for the first time yesterday and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a burger with homemade fries and my husband had the butcher's cut. Everything was perfect: the sauces, the cooking, the quality of the meat. For dessert, I had a molten chocolate cake and he had a decadent Irish cake (he was thrilled with the generous portion). A very pleasant sweet note to finish. The waitress was very friendly, and the chef was equally so. A great little bistro! 👌🏼 We'll be back! 😊

13/02/2026: Reservation for 14 people for a company outing. Excellent organization; our food arrived almost as soon as we were seated. Good value for money, quick, and efficient. I'll definitely be back for personal outings.

27/01/2026: We regularly order from EatSushi and it remains our favorite sushi spot in the city. Delicious, fresh, and they often have good deals on Uber Eats, although it's becoming more worthwhile to eat in person (especially on Thursdays). One small downside: we order a lot with Uber Eats and we've had a couple of issues with deliveries where items were missing, but I think that's external to the restaurant and a problem with the delivery drivers helping themselves... In short, we highly recommend it.

10/12/2025: Meh, I left a pair of pants there, too expensive for what it was. Their prices are like a fancy restaurant. Except this is a kebab shop! At first, I thought I was going to pay in lira! It's expensive for a flatbread with only vegetables, soaked in sauce, and they're really stingy with the meat.

28/11/2025: After a 20-minute wait, the woman taking the order wasn't friendly. I ordered the galette, but he made me a sandwich on bread. I'm disgusted.

30/01/2026: We discovered the VIP lounges with our group, trust us, and frankly, the reception staff, services, the meal, and the saleswoman Angeline were top-notch!

27/01/2026: Excellent meal, beautiful dining room with a charming garden theme. We had a starter, main course, and dessert. Butternut squash and goat cheese soup and gravlax salmon for starters. Bavette steak with shallot sauce for the main course 😋 And crème brûlée and, most importantly, a delicious walnut caramel tart—a real treat.

A huge thank you to Flavia, always smiling, warm, and incredibly kind. And a big shout-out to Huguette, the mother, a genuine and lovely woman who puts all her love of homemade food into every dish. Here, everything is homemade, with fresh ingredients, flavor, passion, and a generosity that shines through in every plate. The pizzas are delicious, generous, and prepared with real expertise. A place where you eat incredibly well, feel comfortable, and simply want to come back again and again ❤️

23/11/2025: We received a very warm welcome upon arrival at 1 p.m. with a reservation. We enjoyed an aperitif, a country-style platter (ham, salad, chorizo, and baked Camembert) 👍 We also had a full Welsh rarebit, a salmon Welsh rarebit, a mixed grill (chicken, lamb chop, flank steak, and grilled bacon), and lamb shank 👍😋 And a gourmet coffee 👍 This is a very good restaurant. For the same price per person, we've been to restaurants that were nowhere near this level.

11/02/2026: Hello, I just left after waiting at the entrance despite the fact that the bartender and the server didn't see us and received no welcome. We waited 6 minutes and left; we won't be going back. I can't reply to your comment, which is: "L'Estaminet Gourmand (owner) 9 hours ago Hello, I can understand your disappointment and I will discuss this with my wait staff. However, giving us 1 star for food we haven't even tried seems harsh and inappropriate." So, I'll put it this way: I've eaten at your restaurant several times and I've never criticized the food. Perhaps I was lucky enough to come when the restaurant needed customers, but in the restaurant business, especially considering the prices, you can't neglect your clientele. In any case, thank you. "La Taverne du Petit Wasquehal," which is a 2-minute drive away, delighted us with its warm welcome and delicious food.

06/02/2026: Excellent meal, I had the ham hock which was fantastic. A word of caution regarding lunch: it's best to specify if you have a time to adhere to.

30/01/2026: The waiter was incredibly welcoming and helpful, doing everything to meet our needs and make us feel comfortable. The meal was generously portioned and very appetizing. The dishes were delicious. Just one disappointment with the dessert: a chocolate fondant that was still good, but not homemade... so we were expecting something homemade to match the quality of the other dishes. A slight lack of tranquility can be felt as some tables are quite close together. The restaurant and restrooms were spotless and hygienic. I highly recommend this restaurant because the value for money is excellent, which is becoming rare, and also for the warm welcome. Thanks to the very competent kitchen staff for making our meal so enjoyable! We frequented this restaurant for lunch and dinner 😉

24/01/2026: A very nice experience at L'Escapade. The dishes are fresh, generous, and very well cooked. The staff is welcoming and very professional. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend it.

13/01/2026: I went during the week. The "Ambush" burger was delicious, with a high-quality ground beef patty cooked exactly as requested (for once!), served with excellent fries and a well-seasoned salad. I finished it off with a small coffee, which was also very good. The menu is adequate and the prices are reasonable. I didn't get a chance to try the desserts because my main course was quite large. Excellent value for money.

16/10/2025: Had to take a break from my meal to write this review, best filet américain of my life!! 😮 Warm welcome, fast service, and really, that filet américain... it's to die for! The portion is more than generous (I've already eaten half of it in the photo, and I don't want it to end 😢)
