05/04/2024: Got the gratin chaude and boy is it a piping hot dish! It was red hot when you first bite into it so be careful or you'll burn your tongue. After that, the richness will come through and warm you right up. Our hostess and server was very friendly. It's a smaller dining area so you may make a new friend you sit next to!

04/04/2024: Really good restaurant with the best cheese gratin I have ever had. You should try the one with duck breast (Landais) and a red wine. It's incredible that they make such a great meal in a small kitchen like that. The only thing is that because it's a bit small, it's hard to hear each other with a lot of people in the restaurant. But again, the food and atmosphere makes it worth it!

03/04/2024: "Amore, fai presto, io non resisto Se tu non arrivi, non esisto" The waiter puts his soul into animating the evening. Highly intelligent, not at all intrusive, always with a witty banter ready. The meat was delicious, it's very expensive but well worth it. There was an intimate atmosphere, a few person, we made friends at neighbouring tables speaking in several languages. I cant speak French, I was afraid of bothering the waiter asking many times but he never flinched. He put on some music at the end, talking to us he even took the time to get to know us and dedicate the right song. The core of Paris is to experience an abnormal dinner like this. 14/05/2024: We took a trip to Paris for our 30th anniversary since it's our favorite city. I've never been tempted to have dinner on one of the boats on the Seine - they seem glitzy, all glass and chrome, and very touristy. But we wanted to do something special for an anniversary dinner. I hunted around and found Calife. It's certainly not glitzy. It feels like an intimate Parisian cafe/restaurant, not like a tourist destination. It's calm and quiet with lovely soft jazz playing discretely in the background. The boat has a lot of character to it - much more pleasing than the large modern ones that float the Seine. When I made the reservation I mentioned it was our 30th anniversary and we'd appreciate a nice table if possible. Well, we got the best table in the place - literally. We were the fore-most table on the boat with a totally unobstructed view of the city. When it came time for desert they delivered it with sparklers for candles, remembering our anniversary. I had the pastry tart with chanterelles and foie gras. It was absolutely one of the best things I have ever eaten in my life. No exaggeration. I had the lamb shoulder, which is listed as the chef's specialty. It was so tender I could just use a fork to eat it, no need for a knife it was so tender. I wasn't thrilled with my desert - the apple upsidedown tart. It was nothing special - but the caramel ice cream was excellent. I ate half the tart and all the ice cream. My husband had the goat cheeses tart with honey, sea bass with lemon tarragon, and an apple tart (different from the one I ordered). He loved his meal but said the ambiance and quality of the cruise was the high point. It's expensive, but when you subtract out what the river tour would cost on its own, it falls more in line with the pricing of a fine dining restaurant. I'd totally recommend it - especially for a special occasion. EDIT: We recently visited Paris and went on Le Calife again. It was just as nice an experience as the first time. Still totally recommend it.

14/05/2024: Amazing Experience! The service was excellent, food was exceptional, and it was a smooth comfortable ride as we experienced the city at night. It was the highlight of our trip to Paris!

04/04/2024: A pure delight! The seasonal vegetable risotto, beef bourguignon and onion soup were very succulent. As an extra, the restaurant's little cat, Alice, came to sleep next to us on the bench, what could be better! 🐈

04/04/2024: We were struggling to find a place to eat. My wife stumbled upon it and although the restaurant was very busy, they were very accommodating and found us a table. The service was efficient, the food was great and the staff couldn’t have made more of an effort with our kids (8 and 6). Turned a nightmare evening of wandering around searching into a fantastic experience and despite us not finding the restaurant until 9pm with two shattered kids, we had an amazing evening! Pleasant surprise when the bill came as well! We will return next time we’re in Paris.

21/03/2024: Having frequented this establishment on several occasions for a meal or a drink, I can only recommend it. Professional and warm welcome, very reasonable price for its location. I return every time with great pleasure (special mentions for the cocktails and the prepared beef tartare).

08/03/2024: We sat down for a drink. A good welcome with good background music. The menu is varied, there is something for everyone. Fair price for the area.

05/04/2024: No idea what the food or atmosphere were like, because our party of three was refused at 18:30 due to the fact that one of us was going to leave early so wouldn’t be ordering food. It looks like a nice place, too bad, will try again at another time or when everyone can eat!

01/04/2024: A cobbled alley in old Paris in the heart of the 6th arrondissement. A tempting card. A reasonably priced lunch menu. A little less in the evening... to discover to have a good time The ravioli, the 7 a.m. leg of lamb. Yum

31/03/2024: Excellent food and service. For appetizers we tried the burrata, escargots, and l’œuf cocotte - all were great. For the main dish we got L’agneau - which was cooked 7 hours and tasted sublime (although I usually don’t eat much lamb). Le poulet and le boeuf bourguignon were amazing as well. The ambience is cozy and welcoming - best to reserve a table ahead of time as it tends to be busy.

20/03/2024: An excellent deal. friendly a variety of exquisite dishes. You can eat and dance to the rhythm of live music. They make you feel like you are at home... We left satisfied. We recommend it 100%
