10/07/2025: We had a very pleasant lunch at this historic establishment, dating back to 1910. The menu is limited, reflecting the kitchen's dedication to delighting customers. A lunch menu is available at a reasonable price. The service team is attentive, very pleasant, and not intrusive. All of this combined made for an excellent, hearty, and delicious meal. I highly recommend it!

The quality/price ratio is excellent.

The burrata pizza at 18.5 is exceptional!
The desserts are also perfect, the exquisite tiramisu!
Our dinner main course dessert drink for €30/head.
And they accept dogs 🐶, that’s great.
I recommend.
04/11/2024: Very nice restaurant and welcoming servers. On the other hand, the cuisine is really disappointing. My truffade looked like a frozen dish and had no taste. The prices are excessive for such quality.

30/11/2025: We came during a quiet period for a romantic weekend getaway. La Bourboule is a very pretty town with its own unique charm! The hotel is excellent, the staff welcoming, the spa area pleasant (jacuzzi and hammam), and the dinner was delicious!

18/01/2026: Some dishes, like the beef tartare, tartiflette, and fondue, were good. The salads were overpriced for the quality. We waited over an hour to be served, even though we had children at the table, while tables that arrived after us were served before us. Furthermore, as mentioned in a previous review, the waiter, under the guise of being friendly, made repeated, crude jokes, which became truly tiresome.
06/01/2026: We highly recommend this establishment. Excellent mushroom fondue. Friendly waiter.

The pizzas remain decent, children's menu at 12.90 euros for a large plate of pasta and a small ladle of bolognese, a glass of syrup and an ice cream...it's expensive
kindness, just what is needed
In short we won't come back again

16/12/2024: To flee! We had a wine that had everything but the taste of mulled wine. 2 hypotheses: either hot grape juice or hot sangria. In any case, it’s really undrinkable. And for 4 euros each, it’s shameful.

03/09/2024: Hotel very well located in Bourboule. Shop nearby and close to sporting activities and visits. Good welcome. I haven't tried the breakfasts.
02/09/2024: Lack of empathy and business sense.
We booked a week in August.
Emergency hospitalized on the way to vacation, we notified the hotel to cancel the first two nights and leave the possibility of re-renting our room.
It turns out that the hospitalization lasted more than 10 days, therefore complete cancellation.
We would have liked that faced with the situation and our good faith (hospitalization papers sent by email) the hotel and its director showed proof of understanding and empathy and withheld only 30% of the total amount from us or offered us a other dates while they were quick to withdraw the full amount from us and no longer responded to us.

N’ayant pas eu le temps de regarder les avis avant d’y entrer, nous avons constaté par nous même l’hygiène déplorable (tant sur le sol, dans les wc) : l’horreur !
Concernant le repas : servi en 3’ top chrono après la commande. La truffade n’était que pommes de terre sèches tant elles ont été réchauffées, sans aucun gout de fromage et en quantité dérisoire. La charcuterie sortait tout droit d’un supermarché et pas des meilleurs ! Absolument rien de typique ni local à un prix déraisonnable.

09/08/2024: Ordinary cuisine, the glass of wine is served to you in the cubis behind a bar, the blue cheese sauce leaves something to be desired, the entrecôte looks like a steak, the choice of liqueur for the kir is strict (only blackcurrant), a large box empty on a pallet serves as decoration behind the window and the dust is not cleaned on the window sills (dust and dead insects), the service leaves something to be desired... All for the modest sum of more than €75 for 2 people (main course, dessert and aperitif) this type of so-called semi-gastronomic restaurant is a shame or we don't have the same requirements at all.
