19/02/2024: Very good. Some very delicious croquettes, a very good charcuterie and cheese board and a great variety of wines. We were with French companions, so it was easy. 05/05/2024: An excellent place. Even though it was Saturday, they had several menus of the day. We took the three-service option: sausage starter + main course (hake or steak, very generous and with garnish) + dessert (homemade panna cotta or tiramisu) for €16/person, tap water and bread included. All the waiters very friendly and attentive. Since the terrace and the lower floor were complete, they took us up to a room they have on the first floor. To liven up the atmosphere they played piped music. If you visit Pau, it is a great restaurant to go to eat and then visit the Château.

02/05/2024: O’Gascon!! Old Paloise address... The last time I came it must have been in 1977 😱😄. The service team is dynamic and pleasant. And the food is very good, colorful and plentiful. Excellent "poule au pot" and "royal garbure"... Henri's Panache Blanc could adorn the front of the inn without blushing! A little cough from the bank card reader when paying, it seems recalcitrant: we are asked "exceptionally" to go and get some cash from the nearest ATM... 10 or 15 minutes on foot anyway..." and leave an ID"! he enjoins us with a very Béarnaise conviction 😮. Twenty minutes later, after non-negotiable refusal of exceptional payment by check, we returned to deposit our hard cash, while the capricious terminal had regained all its capacities. Okay 🤔... We would have accepted at least a somewhat courteous apology, knowing that in such circumstances it seems that the merchant could have decided "exceptionally" to assume the commercial risk of payment by check or to invite you to wait while the reader is reset. ... In 1977, we would have laughed "ooh, that reader is stupid"...and maybe we would have even refused the little coffee on the counter "don't worry, it doesn't matter"!!

19/02/2024: Always very well received, we feel good in this place. We don't hesitate to try the mint tea or the different hot chocolates, and the pancakes are simply divine.

10/12/2023: I visited a few years ago and never forgot it. Today I came back, and the mint tea is the most delicious I have ever tasted, the pastries are incredible. Very spacious and very pretty views. Near the center. Very nice and fast waiter. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!💓💯

10/03/2024: I am reluctant to be strict with a restaurant as I know that this profession is often a difficult art. But frankly... Came on recommendation in the Château de Pau district. Everything is frozen or industrial, the “iced nougat with raspberry coulis” for dessert came out of the Metro box before our eyes behind a bar whose cleanliness is approximate. Potatoes that are poorly peeled, poorly cut, uncooked, cooked without the minimum of care. Not good at all. Wines at the same price level as in establishments of another level. Intrusive music (radio or Spotify) which prevents any discussion. The smile of the waitress does not manage to erase the scandal of the cuisine with its deplorable value for money. I won't talk about the toilets like the rest. To flee !!!!!

06/04/2024: After having lunch in a group at this restaurant (so as a customer), I came on a Saturday evening to take away a dish other than a pizza (although the other dishes were not very good): Deplorable welcome by the girl from the boss in an empty restaurant (on a Saturday evening only one table occupied): no commercial sense or kindness: dry and curt responses, even insolent and ill-mannered, to a simple question: "if you don't take your meals away, can I give you a container? » like other restaurateurs who had the intelligence to accept after negotiation and who were not shocked by this proposal... FYI: in many other pizzerias nearby you can take everything away and you are well received! And I hesitated before coming back since the summer… following a humiliating welcome from the very aggressive boss, who shouted: “we are full!!!” if we dare to sit on his empty terrace... His responses to the comments here are proof: no excuses... and what's more, he invites you to come and talk with him: the height of it! So: customers are there to eat, shut up and pay and then only give positive comments. Otherwise he rushes to say that it's all lies because he can't stand the Truth. And when he tries to make it disappear and we maintain the comment, he thinks it’s relentlessness. Read the negative comments carefully which are identical to mine… In addition, he manipulates his friends and customers into posting a positive comment to counter mine. Everyone did it at the same time: in a single file...probably at the table together, and he thanks them by greeting them, supposedly... This manipulation is prohibited in the regulations of G... Moreover, the other restaurateurs do not seem to be particularly inclined to appreciate it, for various reasons, including closing at 9 p.m. subject to ridicule among them… (and I laugh with them)… but not the young customers who can no longer add another pizza ONE minute after 9 p.m. while They are already seated for dinner because they are told: “the kitchen is closed!” A shame…

30/03/2024: Welcoming place for a coffee break. We had drinks that were as good as they were beautiful accompanied by excellent cakes! I recommend the hot chocolate which was a real delight. The setting is pleasant for taking a break or shopping for home decor.
