26/03/2026: The restaurant was partially booked for a friend's birthday. The meal was a buffet at her request, and we enjoyed fries with ketchup and mayo, guacamole, tomato/cheese, and tapenade toasts, small pasta gratins, foie gras, salmon, truffle whipped cream, and for drinks, a piña colada, homemade "Saint Helena" punch, and soft drinks. For dessert, we had a raspberry cake. I think that's everything. Although it didn't look like much and seemed a bit dated, the owner seemed to care deeply about his restaurant, the ingredients he used, and how they were presented in the kitchen. However, I was rather disappointed. Fries? Okay, why not, they were alright. Ketchup and mayo? Are we in a school cafeteria? The toasts seemed to be made from defrosted rolls with various toppings thrown in. The guacamole was rather ordinary, the tapenade was just tapenade, and the tomato and cheese was nice. But nothing to write home about. I started to find it a bit much with the macaroni and cheese gratins. Not bad, but seriously? Being vegetarian, I didn't try the foie gras and salmon, but they seemed to be a hit with others. The truffle whipped cream was really good. The drinks were good too, especially the red punch, which was original and well-balanced. The dessert wasn't particularly memorable, but the marshmallows that came with it were a nice surprise, which was a plus. However, in terms of atmosphere, service, and honesty, it wasn't just a little disappointing. The owner seemed friendly, albeit a bit overly familiar, but the setting was unusual, as I was a "friend" and a "guest" for a birthday. The owner was a bit pushy. But the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. At least, that was the case until a friend of the owners, clearly, burst in and bothered us in our reserved section of the restaurant. He made comments that I would describe as, to say the least, bizarre, made completely inappropriate remarks to some of the other diners, and even drank some of our drinks. Okay, the restaurant wasn't entirely reserved for us, okay, he's a friend, and okay, they're not responsible for his behavior. But when we calmly explained to him that we were among ourselves, that he had to leave because he had no business being there, and then we saw the scene the owner made, it made us question his priorities, his honesty, his friends, his ability to handle conflict, and even his anger management… I won't go into further detail, but no one in our group will be setting foot in that place again. It's sad and a shame that it came to this, but I think it's for the best. And finally, let's talk about price. We paid €20 per person, which seemed a bit excessive considering what we were served (and I'm not even talking about the atmosphere). But I later learned that the price was actually closer to €30, as my friend had to pay the extra. At that price, you get to take home the leftover truffle whipped cream, the punch, the cake, and even the soft drinks… Speaking of which, what happened to them? Nobody knows. In short, an experience that could have been merely disappointing, but which, given the owner's behavior, turned out to be unpleasant, sad, and definitely not one to repeat.

31/01/2026: Generous pizza, excellent service, I've been getting my pizzas here for over 10 years and have never been disappointed.

14/12/2025: What a disappointment! Yes, the welcome was great, the owner very friendly, and the dough quite good, but the ingredients... a disaster! A thick layer of Gruyère cheese (we're definitely not in Italy anymore), and what was supposed to be Aosta ham... inedible, acidic, and with a disgusting taste. First time we've ever thrown away a pizza. It was a first, and it was the last.

14/03/2026: A customer for years. Recently, I've seen the portions cut in half. While the prices have gone up. It's a shame, they've lost us. They need to stop treating their customers like fools.

08/03/2026: We've been going to Hoggar for several years but left disappointed after our last visit. The semolina and vegetables were very bland (ironic for Mediterranean cuisine) and not salty enough. However, the meat and merguez sausages were still very good. Not terrible, but frustrating.

From the appetizer to the dessert, everything was excellent: wonderful flavors, very generous portions, and a truly warm welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! 03/03/2026: Honestly, I was quite disappointed. The restaurant's decor is very nice, but the dining room was practically empty, and I understand why because the pizzas were truly disappointing. There was hardly any topping on the pizzas (two slices of eggplant, two measly pieces of zucchini, and barely any bell pepper). It was essentially a very oily Margherita pizza for the price of a vegetable pizza! Frankly, it's shameful. There was no lasagna available, so that was another disappointment. But most importantly, please change the background music! It was the same song on repeat; I couldn't stand it anymore when I left!

07/02/2026: I'm changing my review. I just ordered two cheese sandwiches and two cheese naans on Uber Eats. The naans were raw and completely inedible. Takeout is often like that, but that's it for us.

18/02/2026: I went there for lunch today with some friends, it was my first time. The food was simple and home-style, but good. I just found the owner a bit cold. The setting was basic. Reasonable prices.

Let's just say it was a fluke tonight, even if I'm apparently not the only one... your pizzas were so good, cheese, vegetables, even the Margherita, it was delicious... so I'll see in a while and will be sure to praise you if things improve... conversely, if it's not good, I'll let you know. Good night.

07/02/2026: New owners. We ate quickly and received a very friendly welcome. Authentic Asian cuisine with great flavor, and the portions were perfect. Highly recommended! 👍

19/03/2026: I strongly advise against this restaurant. The daily special was completely inedible, served cold, then reheated at my request. The veal was nothing but fat and very tough skin! No compensation was offered. This is a place to avoid!

30/01/2026: The menu featured deviled eggs and beef stir-fry. What arrived on our plates were egg whites smothered in industrial mayonnaise. The beef stir-fry was tough and sinewy, swimming in a copious amount of oil. Two coffees and 25 cl of not-so-good rosé brought the total to 48 Euros. First and last visit.

31/12/2025: I've been eating at this Indian/Pakistani fast food place for 15 years now, and its selection rivals that of any restaurant. It's truly (by far) the best in Lyon (and I've tried many). All the ingredients are fresh and prepared to order. The homemade spices and hot sauce are excellent. And above all, the service is always very warm!
