Reservations are essential as it's always full. The leek fondue was excellent, and the sauce was delicious; my favorite was the Époisses aioli with chorizo ​​or the herb aioli. A wide selection of foreign, Chilean, and local wines. I chose a local Montagny Berthenet, mineral-driven, with a good balance between dry and sweet. I highly recommend it…

08/12/2025: I hadn't been there for a while… Beautiful/comfortable dining room. I had the €50 set menu: a generous portion of foie gras salad, which was very good. However, for my main course, I ordered sweetbreads… four measly pieces barely vying for attention… The oyster mushroom sauce was sorely lacking in flavor… I was quite disappointed… The crème brûlée for dessert was classic and well-executed. Regarding the service, a friend had a problem with his dish. The small crayfish dishes were missing from his plate (which is included in his €40 set menu). Instead of bringing them to him… the waitress told him it was the €30 dish after all… A lack of professionalism.

16/11/2025: Rating: Good, but could definitely be better We had reserved a table, but upon arrival, the restaurant seemed to have forgotten our reservation. As a result, we were seated in a tiny, overheated room next to a large table of 10 to 15 people. The atmosphere wasn't ideal, and we had to ask for air conditioning to make it bearable. To their credit, the staff did offer us three glasses of champagne as an apology, which we appreciated. As for the food, it was generally "above average." I wouldn't recommend the snails, though: I don't know what the chef was trying to achieve, but the result was clearly disappointing. My sweetbreads, on the other hand, were very good. It's a shame they were served with a potato gratin... with cheese. Cheese in a potato gratin? Seriously, that's ridiculous. In summary: a restaurant with potential, but which needs to review certain details, both in its organization and the consistency of its dishes. It can do better.

27/12/2025: Passing through Chalon-sur-Saône, we discovered this restaurant thanks to a friend's recommendation. We had come for just a drink, but thanks to Carl's exceptional welcome, we ended up spending the whole evening there! We enjoyed the famous homemade Burgundy snails, as well as the gratin bourguignon and tagliatelle with morels... everything was absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable, very professional, and warm. An exceptional experience we won't forget!

21/10/2025: We arrived half an hour before the restaurant closed. When we asked if we could still eat, the very kind and helpful waiter responded with a welcoming smile. We ordered moules frites, which were incredibly fresh and delicious. Even though it was past closing time, they even offered us a dessert menu. We settled for coffee. The slightly rustic atmosphere is very refined and welcoming.

His new tapas bar concept allows him to be even closer to his customers and offer wine recommendations. The dining room provides the perfect setting for a gourmet evening, thanks to the quality of the dishes on offer! A must-try address in Chalon-sur-Saône.

20/11/2025: The owner's behavior towards French customers and those who look foreign is quite different! The concept has changed; there are no longer starters and main courses, it's more like tapas. Small plates to share. The prices are reasonable. It's good, but not amazing. We tasted some good wines. I recommend this place to people who enjoy drinking good wines and discovering new ones.
